The apartments are very spacious and well equipped, while the host included lots of little extra touches that were really appreciated.
I can't think of any downsides, it was all excellent.

The setting was beautiful. We felt like we were in a French chateaux in the country. Loved the period features and very spacious apartment and well equipped throughout. Immaculately clean..
All the additional little extras like milk, selection of teas and coffees and breakfast provided were nice little touches.
The location was ideal. Meant that we could walk into the centre and avoid the parking fees. Loved the garden. Really appreciated all the work that had gone into it. So pretty at night with all the lights.
The host was very friendly and accommodating and helped us check into our apartment.
If visiting again wouldn't hesitate to return to the Dower house.
Nothing not to like. Perhaps would benefit by having a bigger bed, but that's only because that's what we're used to. Mattress also a little soft for me but again personal preference.

The apartment was beautifully furnished and decorated and had a lovely private outside area to sit and enjoy the garden. It was immaculately clean and everything was provided that you could possibly need.

Everything, from the host, the property and the apartments it was all 10 out of 10. It was the little touches such as fresh milk and butter in the fridge.

Where do I start, from the moment we pulled up we couldn’t believe how beautiful the building was! Neil our host was a little superstar even taking time out to show us round other apartments in the building and telling us all about his backstory. This by far has been the best property we’ve ever stayed in, impeccably clean and comfortable! Neil even provided us with nibbly bits in the kitchen and lots of tea, coffee and milk. We honestly can’t wait to come back! 100% recommend the Dower House Apartments you certainly won’t be disappointed!

This is is such a wonderful place! Fabulous restoration of the house. The apartment was superb, very well equipped with everything you could think of and more and was extremely comfortable. We had a lovely sitting out area with Apartment 1 with views of the lovely garden. The host was so lovely and very helpful. The extra treats provided were much appreciated - lovely to have cake with our coffee on arrival and have something in for breakfast. Absolutely 100% recommend!

Fantastic apartment in a quiet location, we stayed in the ground floor apartment which has the bonus of a nice terrace area.
The rooms were large, and beautifully kept.
Phil, our host, was very welcoming and helpful.
Only 1.6 miles from Lincoln Cathedral, easy and cost effective taxi ride into town, didn’t have to worry about parking nor paying for parking.
Just brilliant.

The apartment was perfect in every way. It was exceedingly tasteful and comfortable - and Neil was a wonderful host who went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable.

The house was impressive, and located in a quiet residential area. The entrance hall was grand and welcoming, with a huge wood burner making it lovely and warm.
The apartment was beautiful, with a huge lounge. It was so comfortable and warm that we had to tear ourselves away to go out sightseeing each day. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped (even to cook Christmas lunch). The bed was really comfortable, with lovely bed linen and cosy duvet. The bathroom had everything we needed.
The fresh flower arrangements in the apartment, as well as a poinsettia, were really appreciated. However, the pièce de résistance of the stay had to be the Christmas decorations, inside and out. They were incredible, and summed up the thoughtfulness and attention to detail Neil that puts into the making stays at the Dower House so wonderful.

The house was beautiful. Apartment was gorgeous. Lounge area was comfy, warm, welcoming and had Christmas decorations up. Very spacious. Well-presented rooms. Bedroom had window shutters and overlooked garden area. Essentials left in kitchen.

Neil was an excellent host and the only word to describe the property is FABULOUS.
Its excellent value for money. Very comfortable and absolutely everything to hand.
We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay and will definitely aim to stay longer next time.

no heating on , sat froze for 3 hrs then messaged host who put the heating on constant
at this point the start of our evening was ruined
partner went to bed cause he was cold
went out on to what says patio
it was over grown with weeds

What was there not to like!

Neil was attentive and welcoming. Everything was clean and he had given so much thought to the smallest of detail. The design of the building décor, the grounds and our apartment were all so tasteful, with milk and snacks, plus a cake and flowers supplied. Toiletries and towels (including makeup flannel) was there for our use. It was honestly a joy to stay at the Dower House. I knew from booking that it was a real find , since Neil had replied quickly and answered my questions fully. Nothing was too much trouble.
Lincoln is too far for us to visit more often!
