the location was great, is near to the Lake Toya. The owner was great too, waiting for us at the door step to help us to check-in & explain to us the facilities in the property.

A complete rip-off at the price.

Quaint place with rustic feel.

Listed as two room but had aircon in only one. Dining table was a high bench made low and not usable. The sink in the bathroom was too shallow and we ended up using the kitchen sink for personal washing. Front door was misaligned and made a lot of noise when opening/closing. Too many hidden dangers like double carpeting that caused tripping, unsmoothened walls that scratched while going up the stairs from the bath, low hanging lamp, very tight parking, etc……..just a whole lot not to like.

A house with lots of character.

It was a quaint, comfortable home with a lot of space. It's an old Japanese house with a redone interior that is a cabin style. We liked the lights on the name sign of the home, welcoming us back each night. It is a little further from the shops, than the hotels right a long the lake, but the walk is not bad at all!

Would recommend

Very cute, very comfortable whole house rental. Everything seems relatively new and the hosts, whom you only meet at check-in, we're lovely.

Only wish that the room with the double beds had doors, looks like they may have previously existed. Also maybe if one of the double beds was swapped for a single in another room. We were two couples staying and each stayed in their own room. So we had one couple split on singles, and one unused double in the main room.

A host that we were grateful to have

Our host Kaz, was such a nice guy! He was very responsive and was a very hospitable host. He even went the extra mile to offer his service of sending us to our next location. I will strongly recommend your next stay with Kaz!

Amazing, cozy, arty find! Such a great place to stay :)

We LOVED the décor and lamps which filled the rooms with calming warm light. Perfectly sized and super cozy! Everything was easy to use and thoughtfully arranged.

Very nice house, fully equipped. The owners are great, very friendly, good in English and give useful advice on activities in the area. We would come back any time.

You Should Stay Here!

Super comfortable beds (especially for Japan), great cabin that has all you need to enjoy Lake Toya. You can cook for yourself, and it's only about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The walk back up is up a big hill!

It's not really a hot tub, but just a bath tub (which was fine and clean). I wish the big sliding doors would both open, as with screens they would let more air flow through. Add a little deck outside and the place would be absolutely perfect.
