Wonderful views in a quite stretch close to the middle of the gorge. Comfortable rooms, helpful staff arranged rides to different trails in the gorge and on to Shangri-la. Food was very good and fairly priced.
Stayed two nights and can't think of one thing that I didn't like.

It is family owned and they are very very friendly and kind people. I felt at home with them, they were very accommodating with my needs, sent a car to take me to Tea Horse Guesthouse, and welcomed me with tea and fruits when reaching their place. I highly recommend it! It worked very well for me, as I hiked only one day on the Upper Gorge (so I finished at Tina’s and walked further to Tibet House the first day); the second day I trekked the Middle Gorge (a much more difficult trek, especially when climbing up the highly steep path of the ladder - there is an alternative and less dangerous route of Teacher’s Zhang route) which started close to Tibet House. The owners of Tibet House were kind to drop me at the start of the hike and my bag at Tina’s to continue my journey by bus from there. It was overall a warmly welcoming place for me!
Although it was a bit crowded given China’s National Holiday, the hosts were very welcoming and kind with everyone!

They helped us with travel to places which we wanted to visit. The driver was very safe and reliable and friendly.

A great place to finish the leaping gorge treck and go all the way down to the gorge and the last morning.
The family of Zhuoma (mainly her and her son,) is extremely nice and helpful.
They help you for anything you can need and speak a rather good english
Zhuoma's cooking is great. Probably our best food in yunann.
They drove us to pick our luggage in the ticket office and drove us to shangri la after our night for à very reasonable amount (450) considering the long road.
We are greatful we could stay here at tibet's guest hous

A beautiful mountain B&B lodge located near Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge, around 10 minutes walk to the exit point of famous MTLG, Zhuoma's son, Dawa offered to drive us there for free, taking around 3 minutes.
Room is clean and spacious with the amenities we need. What we love most is the outdoor balcony, where we like to just sitting there, enjoying the magnificent mountain view and Jinsha River or having a coffee or tea with a book in hand, very relaxing.....which even reminds of our past stay in the chalet in the Swiss Alps, fantastic.
Zhuoma, the hostess and whole family are very friendly and helpful, working hard and closely, providing us for information and tips for the hiking and trials, we had some good conversations with the family during the stay, both she and her son Dawa are super chef, cook delicious breakfast and dinner for us with a very reasonable price.
During our stay, as part of the property is under renovations, Zhuoma made explanations and sincere apology us for the various inconvenience caused, which we understand and accepted.
After traveling world and staying many small places, Zhuoma's place is one special in our memory, we are glad to meet and talk to them during our travel, wish them a very good success for their business and life in the future
With such a reasonable room rate, we are happy with the service and product provided, can't ask more

Tibet guesthouse is a family run business for almost two decades. The family will help you with all your needs when you arrive, leave and for walking the TLG trail. It is definitely less crowded than some of the other options in TLG.
The building is beautifully made of wood and has a very pleasant atmosphere to stay. The roof terrace is brilliant. Food is very good, Chinese and Tibetan style as for the occasional western breakfast you might like. Fresh fruit from their garden. The son is a responsible driver who will bring you to a starting point or pick you up when needed. Those extra services are provided either free or for a very reasonable fee. Level of English is above average.
The family dog is the niciest of whole China and will give you a warm welcome.
The Tiger Leaping Gorge is a wonderful place to spend some more days. The guesthouse being one of those classics to cherish as a backpacking paradise.

The guest house offers spectacular views of the tiger leaping gorge.
The owners where very helpful in indicating what hikes could be done around the guest house and offer to drive you there if you don't have your own vehicle.
The food served at the guest house was excellent and very good value.
Overall a great experience!

In my five years in China, this was the most peaceful environment I've been in.

comfortable bed and nice view from the balcony.
The room was okay, but hot water never came on and I eventually gave up. Walls were paper thin and I could hear everything in the neighboring rooms.
Also, they advertise the location as being right on the gorge, but actually it is right on the road. it’s also 3 km from Tina’s so quite a long walk if you have come from hiking the gorge (as I had done).

Amazing experience at Tibet guesthouse! The owner is very kind, she offers me a delicious barbecue for free with family and friends. I had a fantastic moment. She also upgraded my bedroom. One of my best experiences in China so far.

Room is spacious, clean and showers have hot water. Beautifull view from the balcony to the gorge. One of the family member speaks English and she can help you with transportation and trekking. Restaurant downstairs where you can have dinner and breakfast. They let me stay longer in my room until my bus came.
There is a road next to the guesthouse so you hear the cars to your bed and on the dry season the dust is everywhere.

The family was welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were warm, clean and had a beautiful view of the mountains. We traveled during Spring Festival so buses were not running. They helped us and arranged transport to Shangri-La. The food was good and showers were hot. Great hosts!

More detailed advice on local hikes would have been useful.

The owners- husband and wife team were so welcoming and warm. The food was exceptional and the location was perfect.
They only thing we didn’t like was we only booked one night! There really was not anything we did not like.

Wonderful owners. Food was awesome, the best we had in tiger leaping gorge. Room was very clean and comfortable. we got a room with a balcony and mountain view. the balcony had two comfortable chairs and a table. It was great to sit on the balcony and look at the mountains. Bed was comfortable and we slept well.

Location - 800 meters from the hike into the Middle gorge and what I still believe (visited 15 years ago) is THE BEST hike in China (down into the middle gorge - 3 hours, and the second half of the upper hike - Halfway House to Tina's - one of the least appealing lodgings, also 3 hours); the owner, one of the kindest people you'll ever meet, and extremely humble - made us a special breakfast of yak-cheese curd and buckwheat bread; dinner was equally as special, beneath the stars on the second floor deck. Bed was soft, room was clean, water was hot. What more could you ask for? Slept with the windows open, the gorge quietly crashing away somewhere far, far below.
Unfortunately, there is major road construction and more or less the entire road through Tiger Leaping Gorge has been torn up. This has created a rough road, dust, and noise everywhere. Alongside COVID-19, this has decimated business for so many of the lodgings along this road. Hopefully, in a few months' time, it will be finished and this lovely little place and the man who has put his heart and soul into it can once again thrive!

The location is stunning, each room with a large terrace looking right on to the stunning gorge. We went for family walks direct from the property with either directions from the hosts or an offer of a guide. The hosts are so kind and friendly, they loved children, gave them free yoghurt and milk ice lollies! The food was delicious and a real treat to have banana and chocolate pancakes for breakfast and amazing coffee - all at great value cost! The wooden rooms were both spacious and cosy and we are definitely coming back next holiday for longer! We didn’t need it as we self drive but the hosts offered us an excellent value driver to locations with a friendly English speaking driver who we met at the hotel. All in all, an original and lovely stay - I would highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!
Unfortunately for all properties on this road, it has been undergoing road renovations by the local government for the last year so business is slower. There was no noise or dust to interrupt our stay, the terrace was high and the view remained uninterrupted for our evening beer and view! I hope for them the work finishes soon.

Everything! The place is run by a beautiful Tibetian family. Fresh food, awesome sceneries, close to less touristy trails.

We booked a room with mountain view, it was an amazing experience!! We didn't want to leave the balcony all day. It's a small family place, very cozy and warming. They helped us with itinerary for trekking and gaves so many tips. Food is amazing at their place with great prices too!
Serving food is really slow (because it's all freshly cooked) so if you are starving make sure you order as early as possible

This is a family run guesthouse and they were the most helpful, lovely and hospitable family!
Home cooked style food, views were great, and the rooms were clean and tidy, and the family were so great at helping us with our questions & any issues we had.
Nothing that we didn't like but a couple of things to be mindful of for future guests:
1. If you're hiking Tiger Leaping Gorge, be mindful that this guesthouse is the last guest house on the track. It's past Tinas. If you're hiking its an extra 2 hours from Tinas, but if you hike to Tinas and then walk on the road, its only 1km away. So factor this extra time into your hike.
If you were like us and didn't, NO WORRIES, call the hotel and the family will help you out like they did with us! What we ended up doing was getting a bus to Qiao Tou from Lijiang, but the lovely family helped us organise car to pick us up and take us to Naxi to start our hike. This saved us 2 hours. We then got to Tinas and they came to pick us up and take us to the Guesthouse (as we started too late and were loosing daylight).
The next day to leave I would recommended hiking down to the gorge, and then they can help organise a ticket to get back to Lijiang on a bus that leaves from Tinas.
2. It is a family run guesthouse so be patient. The food may take a while to come out compared to a big restaurant.

Lovely family owned inn in a quiet section of Middle TLG, close to awesome hiking trails. Great views from room and hostel patio and good homemade cooking.

Tibet guesthouse was our favorite place we stayed during our Yunnan trip! The balcony views are stunning and it’s easily accessible to the trek! Our host, Julie, was so friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure to relax with her in the evening after the trek! 100% recommend!

The location is super, it’s away from the tourists and has easy access to the trails. The host family are friendly and helpful; enjoy chatting with guests and offer rides and suggestions to local trails. The family restaurant provides a good selection of different food and most vegetables are from their own family farm.
The bathroom oder was strong in the room at night. The family restaurant could be cleaner and get tidy up for better appetite, some areas of the restaurant floor was very greasy which attracts bugs.

I liked everything about the Tibet Guesthouse. The location is stunning, the rooms are cosy, the staff are friendly and the food is amazing. Can not recommend it highly enough!
Nothing.
