The Hotel was beautiful with a lots of services.

We got a twin bed room which was unfortunate. Being a couple, we were hoping to get a king bed room.

Wildlife, beach and jungle

Beautiful cabin with a gorgeous view over the ocean. Lots of exotic birds and even sloths climbing around in the trees! Beautiful private beach och lots of green lush trees on the resort. The café on the resort served very tasty meals and overall the staff was very attentive and service minded.

We took a night tour organized through the resort that felt a bit touristy for our taste.

Superb resort, the bungalow was wonderful, service level exceptional and the beach one of the most beautiful we have experienced.

The wi-fi was not the best and the food at the main restaurant was not on par with the rest of the experience.

The resort area was amazing. Staff went above and beyond for my boyfriends birthday! the service was unmatched and the view was stellar!!

Google maps does not no where this spot is! DO NOT have avoid tolls in any GPS system or you will be SOL! It took us double the time to get to property and we had to go all the way back to square one to figure it out! Also the booth agent looked at us like we were idiots when we asked to go through the gate to get to our bungalow. He tried to make us park across the street.

My husband and I came here two nights for part of our two week honeymoon. We loved all of the staff here. Our concierge, Orlando, was so welcoming and helpful. We absolutely loved the black sand beach and actually had it to ourselves for awhile one day. David and the beach crew was also very nice! You can order lunch and snacks right to the beach, again a nice perk! We had a couples massages too which was by far the best massage we have ever had! Our room overlooked the garden and ocean- we will be back!

There was not a whole lot of food options right on the property. But, we were able to find nice traditional Costa Rican food outside of the property!

The location was great, the private beach was awesome, and the animals in the property was super cool.

The bedrooms are outdated for the price, and a balcony would have been a nice addition to the bungalows. The resort is also under staff, we had issues calling the front desk for help and not having right away. Also breakfast is not included which for the price should have been.

Amazing view on the ocean. We were in the middle of the jungle with toucans and monkeys right in front of our villa.

The concierge service is average. No added value beyond what is already on the website. We were first assigned to the Casa Tule villa which is on top of the reception area, along a busy road and next to the entrance. Very noisy. We asked to be moved to another villa, which was smaller but much more quiet. The resort is on a steep hill. The walk to the beach is steep and somewhat longer than we expected.

The private bungalows are clean and have full walls of windows opening onto spectacular views of the Pacific and rain forest canopies. We saw more monkeys, parrots and toucans here than anywhere else on our trip. I’ve never had such an idyllic beach setting. It was so uncrowded and felt so safe. Everyone who works there was very attentive - the drivers, receptionist, beach attendants, waiters and bar staff always took a moment to share their love of Costa Rica and point out wildlife. Jean Carlo was wonderful; it felt like he truly wanted us to have a great experience and to feel at home at Tulemar.
