Peace, tranquility, luxury and delightful hosts

Beautiful location. Hosts very welcoming and everything provided was over and above expectations including fresh bread and muffins to homemade cookies. Wonderful,we would highly recommend it.

It wasn’t easy to find and further out of Russell than anticipated but the views and peace, quiet and beautiful views more than made up for initial disappointment.

Delightful location in a beautiful room hosted by kind, informative,helpful folk

The breakfast was outstanding with fresh baked bread and muffins and a sublime view and surroundings!

Nothing could have been better except a longer stay.

The location and tranquillity was outstanding, however the property was not like the photos.

Breakfast consisted cornflakes, freshly made muffins or warm rolls/sour dough, cooked each morning by Jenny and delivered to the door by Peter, which were lovely. stunning views.

Strawberries in the fruit bowl were rotten and had to be discarded. The property was very tired, the fly screen on the patio doors fell off repeatedly and the shower was barely a trickle. The Wifi was not good enough to work phone payment, even Peters laptop would not connect in the apartment, resulting in us paying in cash for our stay.

Coastal paradise for family vacation

The cottage is very cozy, with fragrant flowers at bedside, and birds chirping outside the veranda. Stephen next door always greeted us with nice suggestions for local sightseeing. He even gave us a bottle of home made honey to enjoy. We like the serenity of this coastal hideout.

There is mosquito around at this season, so some mosquito repellant would be helpful.

Relaxing but overall disappointing for the price.

Position was fantastic. Relaxed ambience.

Very different to advertised Bay of Cottages. Cereal, fruit, yogurt and bread provided…no hot breakfast. Boat area unkept and not able to be used. A quick word from one owner - not seen again for the 2 days we were there. Wi-fi unreliable. Highly overpriced for service provided.

Superb

We have never had such incredible breakfasts as we had staying here! A beautiful idyllic location set in native bush, with the sounds of kiwi and weka outside in the garden. Wonderful hosts who went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable.

Peter was extremely warm and welcoming, the accomodation had lots of lovely thoughtful touches such as freshly baked cookies, and the breakfast was amazing. Beautiful view from the accomodation. We had a wonderful time.

Their friendliness, love, and passion for hospitality were evident throughout our stay. The breathtaking sunrise views and beautiful bay scenery from the deck and bedroom were truly remarkable, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere at night. The freshly made and delicious breakfast was a delightful way to start each day. Additionally, we were impressed by the eco-friendly nature of the cottage, which showcased their thoughtfulness towards sustainability. . Beautiful stay in the Bay of Islands!

It is like a secret garden. Secluded and private but easily accessible to town. Peter was so accommodating and gave great recommendations. We would have loved to stay longer.

if you want privacy and seclusion this is the best place

It was like a tropical paradise. it is run by a lovely couple, our daily breakfasts just delicious while you sit and watch Tuis in the birdbath on your deck.

Comfortable and relaxing stay with everything you could wish for on a break away.

The cottage was spacious, clean and comfortable with everything you might need for a break away. The home cooked breakfast was amazing with extra little treats as well. The surroundings were pretty and very relaxing with a great sea view. We loved the big deck and outdoor areas.

Don't pass this one up!

Everything about this property is wonderful. Peter is a terrific and interesting host, the cottage is well equipped, immaculate, in a quiet location and comfortable. The breakfasts were simply outstanding. Many thanks to Peter and his crew for making this stop memorable. The bird watching was superb as well.

Wonderful spot to recharge

The room was adorable and so comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and decadent. The people were incredibly kind and helpful. The location is beautiful and perfect. I had a wonderful time.

It is located in a beautiful part of the country with plenty to see and do.

The accommodation was very peaceful and quiet, just what we enjoy. Peter and Jenny went out of their way to accommodate our somewhat challenging diet.

Lovely cottage out of the tourist trap, surrounded by beautiful gardens with Tui in the trees.

Wonderful location not far from Russell township but far enough away to have peace & quiet and lovely views. Delicious breakfast each day, delivered with a smile. Very private self contained cottage with main room & bedroom opening out onto wonderful deck with table & chairs. Great place to eat breakfast.

Nothing we didn't like. We had stayed here before and we enjoyed the place so much we wanted to return.

Perfect stay in a paradise

Amazing stay in a hidden paradise. We loved this place and our hosts. The cottages are so stylish with lots of impressive details in every corner. Amazing view outside. All the needed facility inside. And the breakfast,omg! The most delicious homemade breakfast we could have ! Loved the place and 100 percent recommend it and will go back!

The perfect couple getaway to relax and refresh, in a great location with delicious breakfasts!

The most delicious breakfasts every morning! Thank you for spoiling us with your amazing culinary skills, Jenny. We loved the tranquility amongst the gardens and native birds, our own cottage had everything you needed and more with lots of privacy and of course the location, no matter the weather, is always beautiful.

The bed was a bit too firm and the wifi connection weakened so we had to use our own data, nothing major to complain about though.

Excellent breakfast. Not difficult to locate cottage.

Beach pebble-ly and not so much for swimming. Kayaking okay.

Absolutely peaceful and relaxing. Great memories.

Jenny is a fabulous cook and we found her breakfasts were better in quality and taste than anything we bought out. It was also a very short drive (5-10 mins) to several beaches and the town centre. Peter was also incredibly friendly and personable. The wifi was also very patchy but it was actually nice to disconnect from the digital world for the week. We would absolutely stay there again.

The sofa was well loved and could have been more comfortable when unwinding in the evenings.
