The Hosts, the Food the hospitality The family helps you in any possible way, the owner runs a jeep safari which was awesome and his wife cooks you the best meal you ever had. After or during a long day you can rest on their property which is surrounded by nature and you can even have awalk around a lake with stunnning views nearby. highly recommend stayibg here

Awesome family house. Very welcoming, kind and thoughtful. The food is amazing, much better than the restaurants and good breakfast is served. Confortable beds with mosquito nets. I would definitely stay again. thanks to all the family

Humidity sometimes

the house is very well located, a few minutes drive from the main road and Sigirya rock. In a very quiet alley where you can only birds and animal sounds (a few Tuktuk passing by but nothing disturbing!). Santhe and his family were very kind and helpful. they shared their family home with open arms. they made us dinner twice and it was delicious! we discovered new curries that you won’t find in restaurants and breakfast was generous and delicious! the house is very clean and there is hot water for the shower!

not the host or house’s fault but it is very humid. if you are asthmatic, have your medication ready…

What a sweet spot on the edge of Sigiriya town. You feel like you're in a small village rather than a town, and you're right in a typical Sri Lankan neighborhood. Sometimes elephants walk out of the nearby national park and down the road by the guesthouse on their way to a lake. Though you're on the edge of town, the owners call tuk tuks with ease, and you can be quickly whisked to town for about $1.25 US. The rooms are bright and clean, and the yard and garden within the property are beautifully landscaped with flowering plants. The best part of this place is the family. The owners are super sweet and helpful, and they have a teenage daughter, a tween son, and an adorable baby. I traveled with my family, and all the children played and made art together the whole time, despite the language barrier. As a tourist, these connections are hard to come by and are extremely special. My children didn't want to leave. If you're looking for a homestay and to really get to know Sri Lankan culture through an immersive connection (all while being near national parks and, of course, the majestic Lion Rock), this place is for you.

Shantha and his family are amazing hosts, the rooms are the best and most comfortable I've stayed at in any guesthouse in Sri Lanka. He is a source of knowledge about buses and the local area. The safari was very reasonable and he was a very good driver and very respectful of the animals, whilst always getting me the best view. Breakfast was delicious every morning. The location is far enough from town to be quiet, but not far enough to walk to every day.

the property has a beautiful owner family, clean spacious rooms with comfy beds, hot water showers, ac and fan, a beautiful garden and even comes with tasty breakfast. Santha, his wife and kids made our stay so easy and helped us with all questions and requests. totally recommended.

it’s slightly located off the main road, so a bit further away from the rock or the main restaurants. but the lake is close and you can have dinner there too.
