The shower became scalding hot, and no way of reducing temperature

The whole stay was wonderful, I didn’t expect much looking at reviews, the price and the fact it wasn’t a “proper” hotel but we were surprised it had a modern feel but still felt quite homely with the heating on full blast which made it so toasty and warm. The shower was also beautiful, and the bed was comfortable and looked clean. The rooms didn’t have keys it was all coded which was sent well in advance via email and text so it felt quite secure especially since there wasn’t any staff … we didn’t use the kitchen facilities as we went over the festive period so went to eat with family for most of the stay. the hotel was close to the town centre and close to family so was easy to walk and catch transport which was really helpful. overall we are quite impressed and will most likely be using again in the future

The rooms were nice but the walls and doors could of used with a bit of a wash down and a fresh coat of paint as there were a quite a few marks and stains on the walls. Also the security deposit emails I was bombarded constantly after I filled the forms and sent the deposit , I was still being sent again and again to send and pay which was a little off putting but other then that we had a great stay

I stayed at Roberts residence the last 2 weekends. The rooms were great and very tidy, the kitchen was also tidy, with plenty of utensils etc for cooking. I would absolutely stay here again.

On arrival we were met with a slightly stale smell I liken to student accommodation, as a professional I work with landlords in private rental properties and there was nothing immediately impressive about the property. granted the property has all the facilities required for a couple of travelling engineers but nothing that would make me want to stay again. the pictures on booking are very attractive but in reality the decor and bedding was a little worn with age and for a property that turns over a high amount of guests the decor needs freshening up. the mattress was unusually firm and the bed dressing pillows and blankets felt itchy and budget. overall it was a good base for us for its location to our job site but we won’t return. staff handling the booking were very helpful and their professionalism was fantastic, just need to bring the property up a notch. also my colleague had bites on his arms and legs after lying on the bed a couple minutes after arrival. the bed linen had a fresh smell but maybe the blanket and bed dressings need updating or removing.

It was clean but dusty.

They did not refund my deposit. I asked to speak to them. They did not pick my calls, when I finally got through no one would speak to me and I was promised a call back but never got one. I paid through an app of their choice. I was charged for deposit and cleaning. Deposit is refundable but never got it back. No one is explaining beyond asking me to send my bank statement. Is that not even some sort of admission of shadiness? I want an explanation please. I deserve one!

What did we like... Awful..... The pictures are unrealistic, its next to drug dealers paradise, the neighbour had her window put through!! We asked for a fan as it was boiling and the room was unbearably hot we were told no!! The tv had no aerial was told to make do with netflix!! Would not stay again or recommend...
