You'll be hard-pressed to find better value for money than Taphouse.

The location was great, central to the walking street, surrounding bars, and even the main beach entrance. The rooms themselves are set a little off the street, which is good, but it's still easy to find because the main entrance (big red gate!) and lobby/restaurant area are unmissable. The room is not huge, but the bed is big and comfy, and the room is spacious enough for a few days' stay. The staff/owners were all lovely and always there to help with things or answer questions. You get two bottles of water a day for free, and you can take them from the fridge at your leisure. The shower was nice and hot with a good shower head. I am a light sleeper and wasn't bothered by the music from the surrounding bars, even on NYE when the parties went well into the wee hours.

The room should be better ventilated if a wall fan is going up against the Thailand heat. As it was, our first night was fine but later nights we struggled to sleep in the heat. There was also a water pump just below/across from our window that was LOUD and hard to ignore. However, it seems someone covered it at some point because the noise was slightly quieter later in our stay (though still hard to ignore).

Nice place to stay, great location at a good price

We paid extra for the aircon but it didn’t work too well. Woke up in the night numerous times due to heat.

Hyvä perusmajoitus.

Hyvä sijainti, lähellä kaikkea, mutta kuitenkin todella rauhallista myös öisin. Aamupala oli hyvä! Iso plussa myös huoneesta löytyvästä jääkaapista.

Ilmastointilaite oli hieman äänekäs ja kaipaisi huoltoa.

Weekend hideaway

Good location if you want the beach by day and the bars by night. Easy walking distance (about 10 minutes) to the railway station, less to the beach.

WiFi is a bit spotty, has a tendency to fade out regularly.

Comfortable, friendly and convenient, who could ask for more?

The location was great for what I was in Hua Hin for. Everything I needed was close at hand. Access to the beach, shops, nightlife is easy and at most a 5 minute walk.

The shower. Even when set to the highest temperature it barely gets above tepid.

Værelset var stort og rent.

Der var meget støj fra gaden. Man kunne høre musikken fra barerne som spillede til 1-2 tiden om natten.

Get what you pay for. I wouldn"t stay here again without an upgrade.

The two star did little to impress me. It is in need of an update. However, the staff, in particular, Tick, was friendly and helpful. Close to restaurants and beach.

Very old feeling. Needs refreshing.

Huoneeni ilmastointilaite oli uusi, mutta ei kyennyt viilentämään huonetta kunnolla, koska aurinko pääsee paistamaan seiniin koko päivän. Sain onneksi tuulettimen käyttööni.

you get what you pay for, but there are better and cheaper hotels around as i found out...

i liked the location, i liked the room safe.

I did not like the rickety loose floorboards in the rooms, i did not like the lack of hot water in the shower, i did not like the way that everything in the shower got soaking wet every time the shower was turned on, i did not like the very narrow and steep final set of exterior stairs that had to be climbed to gain access to the top floor, could be very dangerous after a few beers or at anytime if you are an older person....

OK for a few days

everything was ok. It's in the middle of the "tourist area" with narrow streets filled with bars and restaurants. Short walk to the beach. It's a budget place, nothing fancy, fair value for money

Comfortable, clean and spacious

Very nice place, comfortable, clean and spacious rooms, big windows.

Accomodation is in a noisy nightlife-district. Hotel itself is quiet and fine, but you have to walk through the party zones to get there and everybody offers you a drink :-)

Cheap and comfy.

The place is clean, even though it's in the middle bars street the place is quite. The air con and hot shower working good. The ladies are friendly.

Overall is good for you if wanna get cheap room to stay. Just the WiFi when we were there not working that good.

Disappointing

The best thing is the staff! They were very friendly and helpful. The location is great for bars, restaurants and the beach.

Our bathroom wasnt fully cleaned and our toilet didn't work. We also didn't have any toilet paper and had to get our own towels. The aircon wasn't the best and took about 2 hours to slightly cool the room. Charging hotel prices for hostel standards! Would not visit here again.

Enjoyable as ever.

Very friendly and helpful staff, handy for restaurants and nightlife. Easy access to the beach and local shops/amenities. Although the area gets quite lively at night it is quite peaceful during the day.

A direct number to the reception for after hours issues. The hotel number seems to be the owner's number so if you have a problem at night that can be awkward. Either that or a means of contacting reception other than via the hotel phone number. Whatever you do, don't (as I did) accidentally lock yourself on the balcony in rooms 12 or 14, because there's no way down. This does present a concern if there is a fire in the corridor, that being said, if the corridor was on fire I think I'd probably risk the 10ft jump to the ground.
