serenity and amazing accomodation

We loved absolutely everything! It was amazing.

Everything was amazing, the room was immaculately clean, warm, had everything we could have needed - and the views were amazing. Dinner was great - a home made style meal in a historic venue, with great service. A very unique venue that I will be recommending to anyone heading to Central Otago.

Having to leave at the end of our stay...

The Ecoscapes room was top class. The location is extraordinary, looking across the valley where the Dart River flows into Wakatipu, to the mountains. The dinner and breakfast were both outstanding.

I'd like to say thank you to Ecoscapes staff. They all welcomed us warmly and made our stay amazing. Things we liked: 1. Family-owned, cozy house and facilities 2. Amazing home-cooked food, steak was awesome 3. Very quiet and peaceful environment 4. Unique experience living in the pod 5. Parking was free and available

This we liked less: 1. Sandflies, however we were told beforehand and its just part of the environment so that's all good. We were also given insect repellants and there's an option to ask for help to get rid of them 2. Dead insects at the back of the projector, which can be seen from the outside

Amazing place, great views with a good breakfast included. Very relaxing with everything you needed.

It was quiet and serene. The sound of the rain hitting the roof at night was wonderful!

Magical setting in paradise.

John was a great host. The food was great and the accommodation was great too. Clean and comfortable. We had a great time. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a break from their hectic lives.

John was very accommodating and friendly. The location of the lodge was perfect. I booked for my partners birthday and it was completely ideal. The room looked out to the lake from the bed and the hot tub was a great touch! Would 100% stay again!

Fantastic location and views.

There are 2 units - the one we were allocated had half the view obstructed by the other unit. For the significant cost we thought we were getting an uninterrupted view of a wonderful piece of scenery.

Excellent facility's that are clean, modern and tidy and a really nice calming space to get away to and unwind. The views were stunning, it was breathtaking watching the sunset over the lake. We loved extra touches such as the blind turning into a projector for us to snuggle up and watch movies too. The dogs were super cute and gave us lots of cuddles (we are huge dog fans). Also we loved the brilliant service while we were there, excellent breakfast (nice sausages) and a lovely little "pub"/ restaurant that reminded us of the UK.
