Beautiful and peaceful location

It is very conveniently located near the centre of Monteverde. The view from our room, upstairs, was really nice, magical when it started raining. The room is nice and clean, the bathroom is specially nice with a big shower. The owner is fun and likeable, and gave us good information about the area. Breakfast was very nice and peaceful in the terrace.

The bed wasn’t very good, but just a minor detail really. We really enjoyed our stay in Monteverde.

Beautiful room with natural light and friendly hosts

This was the nicest place we stayed during our trip to Costa Rica. The room was extremely clean and the view was great, with the big windows with natural light. It felt like we were sleeping right under the forest canopy. The host, Ernesto was super nice and accommodating. The breakfast was good - you get a plate of fruit in addition to your choice of pancakes, toast with eggs, or gallo pinto. On the 2nd morning, he even packed us a breakfast to-go when we had a tour booked for the early morning. We were also lucky to see a coati walk by our room. Highly recommend staying here!

Lovely hotel in Monteverde

We like the hospitality of Ernesto, breakfast was very tastey, the room was as expected and mentioned in the web , comfy bed. Bathroom needs investement otherwise all good, well recommend it and come again

Our room was clean, comfortable and only a 5 minute walk from the heart of town - exactly what we needed. The best thing about staying here is Ernesto - he's an exceptional host (who makes a lovely breakfast!). He was more than happy to step in and help us when our transfer to Manuel Antonio had forgotten to collect us and made numerous efforts on our behalf to try and get ahold of the transfer provider, finally helping to arrange a replacement vehicle to collect us. He really did go above and beyond to resolve what could have been a very stressful situation.

A Perfect Mountain Getaway!

Our room was like staying in a treehouse! it was perfect to enjoy the beautiful location in Monteverde. Included was a yummy breakfast and a most helpful host. Great value.

Fabulous value for money. We were sad to leave!

Ernesto was a brilliant host and made us a complimentary excellent breakfast during our stay with multiple options. We were overwhelmed with his friendliness and generosity. The room size was perfect and exceptionally clean and we loved the fact we had a table and chairs outside the room to sit and enjoy the sounds of Costa Rica. The location was a perfect distance from the National Park and also shops and restaurants in Monteverde.

Ernesto (and Nina the cat) made this inexpensive cozy inn a phenomenal find!!

Where to begin?? Ernesto and wife (and Nina the cat) were amazing hosts!!! From meeting us at our car to scheduling and confirming a night hike and transportation (bus-boat-bus) to Arenal, to pleasant conversations and impeccable service, he was the best proprietor I've ever met! This small, quaint hotel (3 rooms), is set right on the edge of town, very easy to get around on foot. Very comfy room, bed and private bath. The landscaping is so Tico with beautiful flowers and plants. Did I mention Nina? She welcomed us from our first arrival to our last. Beautifully laid table for the cooked to order breakfast, fresh juice and great coffee were an added bonus! Would revisit!1

A neighboring dog, down the canyon, barked a bit. Walking up the hill from town. Seriously, nothing!!! Only the fact that we only got to stay in Monteverde for one night!!

Breathtaking view from room. Wonderful staff.

Beautiful, clean and spacious upstairs apartment with a fantastic view. It was so wonderful eating breakfast on the deck. Ernesto was very friendly, helpful and quick in responding to all our questions. He set us up with an excellent tour guide for Monte Verde. We wished we could have stayed longer. A definite 10 in our book (and I've never given a 10 to any lodging before).
