Set just above the river, the toucan cabana is perfect for a private getaway. Here you will find a little piece of paradise nestled in the jungle alive with the melodious sounds of tropical birds and the gentle sound of the Mopan River flowing close by. It has a queen bed, a double, bed and a private bath with hot water. We have high thatched roofs with ceiling fans and even during the hottest months, the cabanas stay cool as we get the river breezes. There is a large deck built over the river - perfect for doing yoga, swinging on the rope swing into the river for a swim, or just enjoying the view. A restaurant with excellent local cuisine, beer, and wine is open for guests. Tours all around the Cayo district pick up and drop off our guests free of charge. Day trips include the archaeological sites of Tikal, Caracol, Xunantunich, and El Pilar. The Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) cave is also highly recommended as are trips into the Mountain Pine Ridge to swim, visit butterfly farms, and see the waterfalls.
