Basic but nice.

Good location. Friendly staff. Breakfast choice was limited but tasty. Staff organised tours for us and were very helpful. Very close to the beach.

Room was never cleaned over a 5 day period and it cost extra money for a clean towel.

The best stay in the Philippines

EVERYTHING! Beautiful, peaceful location in Port Barton. In the forest but less than 5 minutes walk from the sea. Room was beautiful with our own outdoor terrace with table, enjoyed quiet breakfasts each morning. Toast, jams, coffee/tea/water and fruit all provided. Use of kettles and toaster all day. Bed was so comfy, I slept like a baby every night. The staff are all incredible. Had some funny chats with Maria about geckos and giant bats. Felt so at peace here and didn’t want to leave. Travelled Philippines for 4 weeks and this was our best hotel by far. And still within our small budget. Thank you all <3

Maybe preferred a bed sheet as opposed to the fleece blanket as it was a bit small for both of us. But bed was still so comfy! So didn’t mind

Hôtel juste convenable pour une nuit à Port Barton

Nous avons apprécié un peu de Clim et le village pour deux jours et une nuit.

Au moment de notre passage il n’y avait pas d’eau, rien ne coulait du robinet. L’accueil et les réponses attendues ont été limitées et décevantes.

La chambre en elle même était confortable

Pas d’eau dans la douche, mais vraiment aucunes gouttes, obligé de se doucher à l’extérieur à la vue de tous posés en terrasse, qui n’avait d’ailleurs elle même quasiment pas d’eau. Le wifi et le réseau inexistant.

De gemeenschappelijke ruimtes en de vriendelijkheid van het personeel

De accommodatie, deze leek totaal niet op de foto’s dus voldeed hier door niet aan de verwachtingen. Bijvoorbeeld Er stond dat er airco was, we hadden alleen een ventilator. Ook leken de kamers gezellig met gele muur beschilderingen , hier was in ons verblijf niks van terug te vinden.

Lovely and quiet!

We stayed here twice as it was in a quiet location in port Barton. The rooms are a good size. Staff are friendly and breakfast included.

Intermittent Wi-Fi (same in other places in PB) no showers (but bucket is provided), circular naan bread blanket not sufficient for 2 fully grown adults and fighting over it nearly caused my boyfriend and I to break up

Quiet place but disappointing

Quiet location.

We found the room to be quite expensive for what you get, but that’s also a bit of our fault as we booked a family room for two people and hadn’t seen that. Running water cut off several times, bed was not very confortable and quite small. No drinkable water provided, you have to buy it. Also, we actually didn’t have a balcony despite the description, found a huge cockroach on the floor on the last morning, and breakfast (which is quite simple) was served 20min later than we had asked for which made us be late for our boat trip. No hot water but that’s probably the case anywhere in Port Barton.

Beste Hostel in Port Barton

Jedes Zimmer ist anders gestaltet, die ganze Anlage auch von aussen mit sehr viel liebe zum Detail gemacht. Preis/Leistung ist überragend. Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

- Great staff, very welcoming - Excellent Location, near to the village main streets and beach - Really quiet - Big and comfortable rooms and beds - Nice breakfast, specially the scrambled eggs

Nothing special apart from the typical issues such as shower pressure or WiFi signal.

Good located hotel in Port Barton

Hotel was in a good location, few minutes walk down to the beach and restaurants. They provide breakfast which was ideal for us.

Shower had hardly any water running out of it, hot water was hit and miss. Room had a funny smell to it. Wifi was awful, had to go in the main reception to use it however that was all outside. Tv did not work.

Super Basis für Barton

Sehr nettes Personal, dass bei allem schnell geholfen hat! Frühstück OK, Zimmer groß und komfortabel. 3 Minuten Fußweg zum Strand, Motorroller ausleihen um die Gegend zu erkunden!

Eigentlich alles in Ordnung, Frühstück könnte etwas umfangreicher sein..

Schönes Zimmer aber sehr schlechtes Internet

Das Bad war sehr Groß. Die Zimmer sind gut isoliert.

Das Internet ist sehr schlecht. Das Frühstück ist recht einfach. Die Klimaanlage ist laut und reicht ins Bad wodurch es sehr warm wird. Kein kostenloses Trinkwasser.

Schöne Unterkunft ohne W-Lan

Die Lage war super. Keine 5 min. Zum Strand. Eigene Terrasse und das Badezimmer war schön groß.

Das Frühstück war nicht so dolle. W-Lan funktionierte nicht.

Perfekter Rückzugsort im Grünen

Sehr schön dekorierte Zimmer. Alles war sauber und die Betten sehr bequem. Das Personal super freundlich. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt und konnten gut durchatmen. Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir hatten keine bessere Preis Leistung auf den Philippinen.

Dusche und WC sind klein und im selben Raum. Nach dem duschen war der Boden lange nass

Lo básico para dormir

Tiene lo básico para pasar una noche sin gastar demasiado.

Habitación bastante oscura y, aunque a priori parecía estar limpia, había bastante polvo. Por otro lado, aunque la ubicación está bien, se escucha mucho el ruido de fuera.

Eigentlich alles. Die Unterkunft ist ein Traum, die Zimmer großzügig und ästhetisch eingerichtet, die Inhaber sehr zuvorkommend - es blieben (fast) keine Wünsche offen.

Da uns alles gefallen hat, als mini-mini-mini kleiner Punkt hier das schwache und meist fehlende Wlan (wie fast überall auf Palawan). Aber da der gut vorbereitete Tourist sich eh eine Mobilfunkkarte kauft, fällt das kaum ins Gewicht.

V Port Bartonu je tohle ubytovani velice oblibene a ja ho muzu jen doporucit.

Velmi vstrincny majitel, ktery rad poradi a pomuze.

Pristup k ubytovani, musite se prebrodit vodou. Suchou nohou to nezvladnete. Mistni wifi moc nefunguje, mate vic casu si uzivat okoli.

The staff was friendly and very nice helpful.

The room had good AC and it was clean. There was toilet paper and higiene shower for the toilet.

The bed was a bit soft making you feel you’re sinking inside the mat.

Beautiful guest house in perfect location

The location of the guest house is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. The room was very clean and had a nice terrace/balcony to sit. Maria and her husband were very helpful and friendly. Maria helped me organize the boat tour and the van to my next destination. I also had my laundry done and it was perfectly clean and smelled very nice. If i ever come back to Port Barton I will stay at Forest Wood again. Thank you!

Perfect for the price and I would definitely recommend:)

Perfect location, very nice room, staff were amazing the lady at reception was very bubbly and helpful, we missed our bus to leave to go to elnido as I got the wrong time, she went above and beyond to help us, she got a tuk tuk to drive us about 45 minutes out of town looking for a bus for us to get onto and she didn’t charge us anything for it. just so lovely and helpful and we really appreciated it.

Large room in a perfect location. Everything in town is very walkable, but Forestwood felt secluded and quiet- it was great! Free drinking water, warm shower water, and decent air con. We had a lovely stay!

Would have been nice to have stronger wifi, but we were able to send/receive text messages which was our biggest concern.

The whole complex is very nice and well designed. You have a private patio.

One night we didn't have water, it happens though. The rooms were probably very freshly painted because they smelled of lacquer. One day of opened windows did wonders though.

Treated like family

Maria and her family were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. We booked a boat tour through the hotel which was amazing. We've been on several boat tours throughout South East Asia and this was by far the best. We also got our laundry done which was great and reasonably priced. If we were to go back to Port Barton, there's nowhere else we'd stay!

We had such an amazing stay! Maria went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. She was also great to book tours/transportation with too. The beds were very comfortable, spacious room, all very clean too. We can't recommend Forest Wood enough, especially considering the price too. Thank you again Maria, you are a wonderful person.

A minor complaint...WiFi was poor and signal didn't reach to our room.
