My adult children and our dogs spent Christmas together here. It was perfect! The host has so many small touches that made us feel welcome! The dwelling itself felt so homey and everything you might need is there. The beach view is great and it is such a short walk to get to the beach. We had an amazing time and will definitely come back. It was the perfect shell for my family of turtles!!

My family and I loved our stay at One Happy Turtle. The house was so clean and well stocked with just about anything you could ever want or need. Excellent communication with the owner and a very short walk to the beach. Perfect for a family traveling with kids, grandparents and dogs! We will definitely be back. Not house related but Holden is so fun for shell and shark tooth hunting. We found a ton of cool stuff!

The park was just a short walk away with swingset, slides and tennis courts. The beach was also a short walk away. We could come back to the house quickly if needed.

This house had everything we could have ever needed or wanted. It was comfortable, super close to ocean and clean. Hostess was amazing and answered every question we had. We could not be happier.

We couldn’t have asked for a better “home” away from home! The cleanliness, supplies, communication with owner, and the views couldn’t have been more perfect. Our three families needed this visit! We will definitely be back!!!!

150 steps to beach. All you need is food from Food lion. The clothes you pack. Most everything at this house is there. Great location and view. Clean house and no smell. Barbara was our host if we need her she was there. My dog loved the toy they provided and is still playing with it. We look forward to next year.

A great home with an even better location!! House was clean, had great AC and wonderful beds!! The owner was super with communication and between she and Evolve, they could not of been more helpful or kind! The house was well stocked with everything you could think of, and there was a private beach access directly across the street!! Easiest check-in and check-out ever!! Thank you, 1 Happy Turtle!! This was absolutely perfect for our beach getaway! The property is just as described and only a short walk to the beach. We brought along our pups and loved the backyard and open space. There is a very small dog run area for your pup should you wish to use it and conveniently a spray hose for a quick dog clean up.

Outdated, but great location
This house has everything you need and then some. Owner was very responsive before and during our stay. The house could use some updating, but the location makes up for that. Literally steps from the beach and just a couple of minutes from the bridge to get to the mainland.

Long time due, , we went during Spring break but reviewing it now. This property definitely needs a review.
We are a family of 6 and 2 dogs, this is the best property I have been in , in so many years, not a posh property, its a simple, all you need, well thought off, well organized, you name it and you have it, well sanitized property. They had welcome treats for everyone. No complaints or concerns. This is exactly the property a family with 2 kids, 2 dogs and 2 senior parents would need.
The beach is right across the street, hardly 100 steps. A decent sized fenced dog run, you can sit peacefully at the deck and not worry about them running away. Both my lab and GSD loved it.
Barbara was very helpful and followed up after checkin and also the next day of our stay. She was available to us always with one text.
The dogs had a blast at the beach in the mornings when no one was there. It was cold but they loved it.
One suggestion, there is enough room in the backyard, with 2 sided fence and back full of thick bushes, if that could have a fence in the front, that would give more room for the dogs. That being said, we still loved it.
Hope to make this a custom every spring and visit every year. Thank you.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Barbara the guest host was fantastic told me everything we needed to know although the weather did not cooperate we had a great time and as other postings everything you needed they had there even a complimentary gift upon arrival
The only drawback was the patio door did not slide really well but I had brought that up to barbara as we left other than that 5 stars all the way
and we are going back next year because of the accommodations everything was clean and ready for us when we got there and it was an easy check in and out

AWESOME!!!
We loved staying at the Happy Turtle! This was a great house to stay in. They really have everything you need there; beach chairs, cooking utensils, towels. It was so much like home we really didn't need to bring anything but us and our bathing suits. The beds were comfy and the place was really clean. We hope to stay there again soon!

Very well kept property. The house was well stocked with everything that a family with kids and pets need. The owner had thought of everything and organized the house accordingly. She is always reachable and prompt in responding. Beach access is right across and view of the ocean for a second row is amazing.

Quiet neighborhood where you can listen to the ocean on a deck with an arch high enough to enjoy the starry sky as well. Everything you need is minutes away but you only need to bring a few meals and snacks and you’re all set. The living room furniture could be a little more comfy but house was immaculate! The sliding deck doors made it possible to let the ocean air in. Beds are super comfy! TV’s in all the bedrooms would be nice for those of us who can’t fall asleep without one, so perhaps bring a laptop if you need that sleep crutch. It was reallya treat to have the cable box and we enjoyed access to tv platforms as well. The beach is so beautiful here that I think we may return in a warmer month when we can sit in the surf. It was a wonderful escape from life! Thank you for the gift basket and wonderful wine!

Amazing Get Away
We wanted a chance to get away from the stress of today’s world. We planned to stay socially distant and do all of our own meals. I was completely shocked at how well stocked the kitchen was as well as The thought that has been put into what people may need. We even had a special gift waiting for us!
We loved the ocean view and walked to get coffee a couple of mornings. The house is in a prime location and has everything one could ever need. I do hope we get to come back often.
