We attended a wedding at Hudson Hall. This home was conveniently situated for both enjoying Hudson and also seeing some natural beauty. Thank you for a great time!

Was another great stay. Many nights alone but most days my local families would visit. Everything u need and want is 2 miles away for cooking and entertaining my family. Fishing is fantastic, and again, thanks John for havind Steve take my family out. See ya next year.

Had a lot of fun. It was excellent sitting at night hearing the fish jumping in the water.

We had a wonderful time at your house. The setting is beautiful. The house is very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped (we did a LOT of cooking). We really enjoyed paddling in the boats and swimming.

We have stayed at quite a few rental homes and this one is just about the best appointed home we've experienced. The owners have thought of everything and the house is generously appointed. The location, on an access canal to the main lake is picturesque, charming, quiet, and relaxing. You can fish from the dock, or jump in one of the provided kayaks and pick your spot anywhere along the expansive lake. A rail bridge built in 1914 supports several freight and passenger trains each day and only adds to the overall charm of the property. Nice roaring fires in the fire pit rounded out each evening while the brilliant stars revealed themselves. We truly had a blast at this house and are already planning our return trip.

We enjoyed our stay. House was immaculate and so nice. We fished, kayaked, and grilled food. Had a little National Lampoons Vacation moment with some wayward bees but the owner was quick to send his manager Steve over to take care of it. This also enabled us to have a wonderful time on Steves boat with his wife Donna as they do tours of the lake. Highly recommend. The deer were interesting family of 5 hanging out wherever they felt like lol. The property was private and quaint with all amenities. We had 4 adults and one child and more than enough room. People passing by on the lake were friendly and funny. We would definitely rent again. Thank you John for always resoonding quickly to questions and for helping us when we needed.

This was our 4th try at finding a rental home in this area for our family vacation and this one was just right! There was plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children to sleep and play. The yard is large and the lake at this location is shallow so we had a great time playing, swimming and using the boats provided. There are life jackets in all sizes in a bin on the deck and everything is clean and well kept. Inside the house, the bedrooms are large with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are also large! The kitchen and living space are just right too. We had everything we needed and more. The trains go by at different times night and day but we found that after the first couple nights, they didn't even disturb our sleep. My grandchildren loved them! There is quite a bit of boat traffic in front of the house which we also found very entertaining. It is a no wake zone and everyone was respectful and friendly. The owner is great to work with and responds quickly to all questions. The house is in a great location accessible to everything and we can't wait to return next year!

As w other properties few folks stayed w me as live in area. Main purpose of this VRBO is location plus lots to do during the day. Lot's of badminton, corn hole, fishing, kayaking, grilling, fire pit...we enjoyed all of it. Will repeat next year.

The house sits very close to the lake just as pictured, it is on the only public access channel to the lake so you will have traffic flow in front of the house. It is a no wake zone so the traffic is slow. Also the house sits very close to a main road so it's not a quite country setting. There will be car and truck noise. The train was fun and the bridge and very picturesque.

We really enjoyed are week on Kinderhook Lake. The home had everything we needed. The Kayaks and Pedal Boats were a lot of fun. My favorite part was the Kayaking (my first time). The location was nice and private. There are trains that come by a few times a day but it didn’t bother us at all and I never heard them on the overnight. . The owners were totally awesome and since there weren’t any renters leaving the day we were arriving, they offered for us to come early in the day to enjoy our first full day there. We did arrive early and got to get settled in and still had a good part of the day to enjoy the lake. House and beds were really comfy. We will be going back again!

A perfect location right on the lake, and spacious and comfortable accommodation. Great amenities like a top notch grill set up, canoes and kayaks, and outdoor picnic tables for group meals. The only negative was a couple of visits from a bothersome neighbor, which the host took care of and compensated us for, otherwise a wonderful getaway!

Nice, big, secluded (to our surprise) and clean house. With exception of passing trains (4-5 times per day), it is a very quite location. We rented pontoon boat and Steve (property manager) show us some good spots for fishing. John is very accommodating host who allowed us to come earlier and stay later. We really enjoyed our stay at Kinderhook lake! The hosts have made sure to provide all the amenities to be able to enjoy the lake and the property to the fullest! The property's setting with the bridge and the bay is very interesting. It makes the lake access very intimate.

As described and exactly what we were looking for. Located near great towns, sites and trails to explore outdoors. While also providing the perfect outdoor space to just stay home. The kids spent hours at the waters edge, running around the yard and even rowing out to the lake. The train was never a bother at night and the kids enjoyed seeing it pass. John was also easy to communicate with. Definitely the relaxing long weekend we were hoping for. Thank you.

Excellent house , good location for relaxing with family and friends for the couple of days or even weeks . The house stuffed with everything you need, and even move. We enjoyed our stay, cooked barbecue and tried to fishing from the backyard. The owners is very helpful and friendly. We had earlier and easy check in and late check out. It’s been pleasant long weekend for us. We will come again in the summertime time.

The area was very quite, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the neighbor, whose properly was a bit closer that we had thought it would be, was very nice. The lake was beautiful and with the autumn trees made for an amazing back drop. We spent every night around the fire pit tracking stars, and most of the days working outside on the little dock. The town and grocery store were only a few minutes away, but you would never guess it from how peaceful the property was. The house was way bigger than we needed for four of us, but would definitely rent again if we decided to do another lake weekend!

This is the perfect lake house. It is spacious yet homey and it is super clean. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need and then some. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the kayaks and fishing from the dock. We cooked all our meals on the large four burner gas grill and relaxed under the stars by the fire pit at night. John and Renata are such attentive and kind hosts - it doesn't get any better than this! We can't thank them enough for a wonderful stay!

The owners of this property, John and Renata, are amazing. From the first inquiry right through the end of the stay they made us feel welcome. Any questions that we had were answered very quickly and they gave us lots of great ideas on what to visit in the area. The place was spotless, so no covid fears, and just steps to the lake. Everything you could be possibly need was there. Amazing fire pit (I want one like it for home now), hammock, fishing poles, picnic tables, grill, boats, extra chairs, and nice little deck off of the house and another out over the water. There was plenty of room and beds for a family to enjoy their time together while still having room to go off by themselves if they needed to. There is no end to things to do in the area and there are plenty of grocery stores, etc. to restock. John and Renata have a lot of maps and brochures available that give you great places to visit for miles around and it is a beautiful part of the country. The only thing that I would suggest bringing is beach towels. If there were any there I missed them. There are plenty of plush wonderful towels but since they were white I didn't want to get any lake water on them! They seemed too nice. That's obviously my issue though! As people mentioned you can hear the train that goes by. I personally love the sound of trains at night but if you don't then it's not the place for you. It was definitely the place for us and I'm hoping to get back some time with the whole family. I highly recommend it!!
