It can comfortably sleep up to 8 & provides a great base for those who want to visit the beautiful Algarve beaches, golf courses, race and go kart tracks, mountains and historic sites. The villa sits on a large private plot with extensive well developed gardens offering excellent privacy. With a great pool (10m x 4m) and many indoor / outdoor games, plus modern kitchen and BBQ it's a chance to entertain and play at home. Outstanding local restaurants and bars means you can choose when you want to visit the busier tourist hotspots. Although in a secure, peaceful area within a community of individual, exceptional homes Casa Lucile provides a great central location for those who want to get out and about. This may include visiting the lovely Algarve beaches such as at Alvor (9 miles and a 14 minute drive), golf courses – Penina (5 miles), Autodromo racetrack (4 miles), Lagos (13 miles), mountains – Monchique (14 miles), and/or go shopping - Aqua Mall (10 miles). For the young and within walking distance on Monte Canelas, we are delighted to now have an excellent new playground, with snacks and picnic tables and benches as well as a fountain (with pet water fountain) plus various fitness equipment. (See photos). Excellent broadband / wifi makes this a great option for your virtual office. You may even choose to take a longer break, out of season. The villa is professionally cleaned throughout before your visit and a commercial laundry is used to ensure all bedding and towels are 100% clean. The entrance way leads into a spacious reception area with a luxurious new lounge (c30m2) on the left which has a large leather suite and smart TV plus a dining area with new table and 8 chairs for more formal dining. On the right the hallway leads to the guest bathroom and the 1st bedroom, with views directly out to the pool. The kitchen and utility area is further down the hall with access to the back garden. The large games room area with Smart TV, has two patio doors which access the covered terrace with BBQ, that also leads straight out to the pool. The 2nd bedroom on the left also has patio doors which lead to another terrace at the rear. Also from the reception area is a beautiful marble staircase with glass and steel rail leading to the 1st floor On the upper floor the first, ensuite bedroom has patio doors leading to a narrow balcony with views overlooking the lush gardens, pool and countryside beyond. The larger master bedroom has a spacious terrace with sun loungers, perfect for taking in the southern aspect and day long Algarvian sunshine, as well as enjoying views to the Morgada Golf Course and to Monchique. The villa has recently undergone a total renovation including a new lounge and games room, 3 new bathrooms and a new kitchen installed. There is also A/C throughout. The large kitchen has excellent facilities, plus there is an integral BBQ; giving great flexibility for both indoor and covered outdoor dining, plus the option of informal eating around the pool. Also, with some of the best restaurants you will ever experience close by, meal times are always a special occasion. Just a short drive away is Alvor, a local fishing village where you can buy supplies at the fish and meat market or experience the extensive range of cuisine offered by the many restaurants within the old town. There is always live evening entertainment, plus other night life. In terms of activities, you are well placed to explore all the water sports (at the beach or at the water parks), and land based activities including golf, cycling, auto sports (F1, World Super bikes etc) plus go-karting and track days, and even sky diving. Alternatively, why not take a mountain walking or step back in time to visit local castle, ruins, churches etc. There is also a zoo close by. There are indoor/outdoor games to be played at the villa. Or ... just lounge by the pool, read a books or view one of the DVDs provided. Great wifi means all internet services are readily available. Spacious for 4 adults. Pool was lovely, if a bit cold in October. You need a car but there are things to do fairly nearby and the larger supermarkets well stocked.

This property has everything to stay and enjoy your vacation. If you want to go visit other places it is best to have your own car though

This villa was absolutely perfect for us and had everything we needed. Simon was very friendly and accommodating throughout the whole booking process and during our stay. Great peaceful location, not overlooked at all and only a 20-25 minute drive down to some really lovely beaches! Will absolutely be recommending this villa to friends and family!

We stayed at this villa for 5 nights in August 2023 and everyone had a great time. Our teenagers loved the pool table and wifi of course. The villa is very well maintained, modern, spacious, and has a great pool. We also appreciated the privacy during our stay. Thank you Simon.

I have stayed in a fair few villas over the years and this is one of the best ones ! Set in a large plot, plenty of parking up the driveway. Gardens surrounding the villa are mature and offer privacy. I stayed here with my parents and my two grown up kids, so there was plenty of room with the four bedrooms for everyone to have their own space. Fully air conditioned which was needed in the 35 degree heat we had during our stay! Refurbished new Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Comfortable beds and sofas. I would second the previous reviewer that the front bedrooms do need some darker curtains or blinds to keep out the sun. About a 15 min drive to Alvor which was our favourite as much less rowdy than Portimao! Also sampled the great local restaurants.
Simon the owner and Lena the property manager were brilliant to attend to the couple of issues that we had during our stay. We have already booked again for next year!

Our family of 2 adults and 3 teens enjoyed our stay at Casa Lucile. The kids loved the pool. There was enough room to spread out. Everything we needed was here. Easy to get to the beach towns. My only advice to the owners would be to invest in blinds or shades. The sun comes up early! Would stay here again.

The villa is absolutely gorgeous. It’s got everything you can need from games to kitchen equipment. Loads of space. The pool and outdoor area is fabulous for relaxing, chatting, eating lunch etc. the garden is beautiful and it’s so nice to be surrounded by lovely plants.
Booking was smooth, the instructions are great and the place was spotlessly clean.
There were several houses under construction around the area, a couple of which did create a lot of noise during the day. This was really unfortunate because we did book this place to relax by a pool, but it’s not something the owner can do anything about. We went out every afternoon but the mornings were somewhat disrupted! Once those closer houses are complete, it would be a tranquil haven, I’m sure.

We were a group off 7 persons ( adults , teenagers and little one ). Very good location near to Alvor , but you need a car to visit the area . The house was spotless , stayed 2 weeks and after 1 week new sheets, cleaning off the house . Everything what you needed was available, the pool very clean and nice size . Would recommend to everyone and hope to come again one day

Casa Lucile is very nice villa to relax and enjoy a good holiday with family and friends. The pool area is great and the games (table tennis, pool table, etc) are a great bonus for entertainment. The villa is well located to make trips to Lagos, Alvor, Silves and the famous Algarve beaches. The owner of the villa Simon is very helpful and responsive. Thanks for a great stay.

We were 2 families of 4 staying at the villa. Lots of space and pool great size for the children. Location good but ate in Alvor most nights, as better choice with children. Check out time of 9, a little early with children to get organised. Would definitely visit again.

Three generations of our family spent an enjoyable 10 days at Casa Lucile. The villa was very spacious and very clean - cleaners came in once during our stay and they were particularly friendly and helpful.
The kitchen was very well equipped as was the garden (which was very nicely maintained and peaceful) - plenty of sun loungers and very comfortable rattan furniture perfectly placed for the pool and shade. We also appreciated the dining furniture on the terrace and spent enjoyable evenings dining and indulging in a glass or two!
The games room was enjoyed by all and there was some very serious table tennis and pool competition going on!
We ate at both the recommended restaurants, Fonte de Pedra and Solar Do Farelo and were not disappointed - in fact we returned to both!
In summary we had a very happy holiday at Casa Lucile.

Alvor is close by- car needed and Lagos and Portimao have great beaches and restaurants.

We had a wonderful weeks holiday at Casa Lucile. The immaculately villa had everything we needed and was in a beautiful, peaceful location. Some excellent restaurants close by and the weather was just perfect. Thoroughly recommend Casa Lucile for that really relaxing holiday.

The villa was everything we could have wanted,lovely grounds,Pool and rooms.
Due to the weather,it was a godsend to have the additions of pool ,table tennis and bar football!!!a real life saver!
Can't wait to return to relax in the sun in future months!!

Perfect for a family holiday
This property was perfect for our 3 generation family holiday. The rooms are all spacious, comfortable, extremely well equipped and most importantly immaculately clean. The garden is lovely and like the rest of the property, perfect. The position of the property is excellent for exploring the area, we particularly liked driving inland into the hills. It was extremely hot so we appreciated the fact that the house stayed cool inside and outside there is plenty of shady places to sit and of course the pool. We enjoyed the games facilities, particularly the splendid pool and table tennis tables.
In summary the whole experience was great. The owner is very friendly and helpful as was the cleaner and I don't think the property could be improved upon. Highly recommended.

Lovely villa and gardens, large pool, nice and private as not overlooked - great base location for visiting local attractions.

Short break
Great golf break, villa Casa Lucile offered our party of four a great base. The local restaurant Ferandos was fabulous. It was away from the hustle and bustle which gave us time to relax by the superb pool. Will be booking again for next year.

Fantastic Accommodation at Casa Lucile
We had an excellent time at Casa Lucile. The property was clean, well maintained and had superb facilities. The pool was great! The location also meant that we were in very close proximity to many popular tourist destinations, with the nearest beach only 10 minutes away by car.
We had a superb time and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing family holiday.

Lovely villa in a beautiful location
We stopped at the villa for a short break - thankfully the weather was good and we spent a few days basking in the sun. The villa was a really good standard and set in beautiful gardens. We had everything that we needed to make it a home from home. It is located close to a few good restaurants, one of them was out of this world - Solar Do Farelo - the food and service was some of the best we've ever experienced. So we would definitely recommend the villa and if you go make sure you visit the restaurant - you won't be disappointed!

Fabulous villa - Casa Lucile
We had the most fantastic week in gorgeous Casa Lucile. The villa was spacious and extremely well equipped for our every need. The pool and surrounding area was also very spacious with seating/loungers both in & out the sun. We loved the outside dining area - just fabulous!
There were 5 adults, 1 teenager & a toddler in our party and the villa was perfect for all. It is situated at the top of a steep road so wouldn't be suitable for elderly/infirm etc without car hire.
A visit to Fonte de Pedra for dinner is a must - Carlos & Victoria are wonderful hosts, the food is amazing & prices very reasonable.
Communication with Simon & Vel was also fantastic, they were more than happy to answer all my questions prior to our trip & I would not hesitate to return or recommend others to visit their lovely villa.

Paradise
Perfect location for a peaceful relaxing holiday, situated just outside of main towns such as Alvor. The Villa itself was in immaculate condition and had everything required for an enjoyable stay. Bedrooms were all of good size with plenty of storage. I would highly recommend to anyone as it can provide an enjoyable stay to people seeking all sorts of holiday.

Bike hire and four day Cycling Tour
After a early flight from Birmingham, the hire car rep was waiting with our car.When we arrived at the Villa,the hire bikes had been delivered on time.The Villa is located within manicured gardens with a good sized pool,with sun loungers,tables and chairs.The Villa is well maintained with a large lounge,roomy kitchen,light and airy feel to the bedrooms.
With excellent weather,good traffic free roads and with good company, we spent four days touring the area from the sea in the south to Monchique and above.After the day on the bikes,we would relax in one of the local restaurants or bars,eating good food and drinking the local wine.All in all everything about the break was 10 out of 10.

The villa is very clean and tidy with a friendly feel it is an ideal base for a holiday in the Algarve,Alvor is only a short drive away with very good beaches and nightlife,there are restaurants within in walking distance of the villa Amadeus being my favourite .
A drive to monchique is recommended the views over the Algarve.

Great Villa for the Algarve
We stayed at the Casa Lucille for a week at the end of May as a group of 6 with one child. The villa was well equipped and spotlessly clean with all the facilities we needed. The owners had obviously taken great care to fit it to a high standard including bbq, fully equipped kitchen and two fridges (great to stack the beers in!)! Excellent swimming pool and games room. Mature gardens with high hedging, not overlooked by neighbours.
Three bathrooms made shower-time very easy for us.
There was a variety of local restaurants nearby, two within walking distance. The nicest restaurant we ate at was the Fonte De Pedro which was lovely local food at a good price, very friendly staff too. Amadeus was ok. 'Johnny hates Fish' burger bar in Alvor was also excellent if you like gourmet steak burgers.
The beach was around 15-20 minutes drive, the one nearest at Alvor was lovely. We also went to the beach at Portimao which was busier but still a great spot.
We found a local butcher in Alvor amongst the tourist shops who supplied lovely meats for the bbq at a great price. He also had great tips for recipes!
There were also a couple of local bars who showed all the sky sports so no one missed out on football.
We also went to the summit at Foia and spent a day at the Slide and Splash. Both are recommended.
Overall, the villa provided a great base for us to explore the area easily but it was also self-contained enough that if we didn't want to go out for the day, everything we needed was there to hand to keep everyone entertained. Highly recommended!
