Bay Dreamer is located almost at the entrance to Galveston on Offats Point at 1011 Walsh Lane. Massive bayfront home provides 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 3 half baths, 5+ car garage, private pool and located across the bay from Moody Gardens making Bay Dreamer a 5 star vacation spot. Impressive entrance leads into the massive living space separated by a mock brick fireplace providing closeness yet separation making your family vacation especially memorable. On the study side of the living area there is a sleeper sofa and seating. On the other side of the room soak in breathtaking views of the pool and bay while enjoying the company you are with or watching tv. The very functional kitchen is stocked with all your pots, pans, appliances and dinnerware with an electric cooktop atop the island and a separate built in oven. The dining area is situated in the middle of the kitchen, living and enclosed back porch. The front bedroom has a door leading to the pool, 2 queen beds, a private bathroom with a tub/shower combo PLUS a separate shower and two vanities. The back bedroom also with a bathroom offers 2 queen beds. The bunk room (open to the laundry area) situated between the living and utility room has a half bath nearby. Additional areas include a wet bar, 15 x 23 enclosed patio overlooking pool and water, a half bath by the pool and the entire downstairs is nothing but garage with 4 stalls and ample space for 5+ cars.. Upon completing a reservation I will email you our rental agreement that explains check-in, check-out, what to bring and who to call. What to bring: A. We do not furnish foods of any kind such as seasonings, condiments, etc., grilling supplies such as fluid, charcoal, personal soaps such as shampoo body wash, etc. or cleaning supplies such as dish soap, laundry soap, etc. B. A "starter" supply of paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, etc. are in each unit, the renter is responsible for additional products during their stay. C. Beach and Pool items: towels, chairs, umbrellas, sun block, repellents and toys! ***Rates are heavily discounted for November-January due to workers building a pier from the bulkhead. Workers do not have access to the house. They are only to be working on the pier out in the water. Thank you for your patience- No refunds or adjustments will be made for this since the rates are being discounted and we are providing this disclaimer.*** Leaseholder must be at least 25 years old Quiet Hours 10PM-6AM House occupancy will not be exceeded. Loud music and noise is prohibited. All cars & guests will be registered with the rental office at check-in, and all cars will be parked in the driveway. When parking cars on the street, vehicular traffic will not be impeded. Posted street signage (speed limits, parking) will be obeyed. Cars will not be parked on lawns or in a neighbor’s driveway. Vehicles will not be driven or parked anywhere where not allowed. Motor homes, campers and tents are prohibited and may not be parked or hooked up at rental homes. Only people with a valid driver’s license may operate a golf cart. Police will issue tickets. Non street-licensed vehicles (such as 4 wheelers, go carts, dirt bikes, scooters, ATVs, etc.) are not permitted anywhere on Galveston Island. Barbeque grilling on decks is strictly prohibited; it is a fire hazard. RAIL WARNINGS- It is extremely important that all guests be aware to never place weight on the railings. We encourage caution and awareness when on decks and balconies. Bolts can become compromised due to the corrosive nature of the saltwater climate in Galveston. Hanging or throwing items from balconies is prohibited. Only registered pets are allowed in SOME rental homes and a $75 non-refundable fee has been collected. Leash laws must be obeyed at all times. While boating, “No Wake” rules in the canals will be obeyed. At canal homes, fishing lights must be turned off when not in use. The property is NON-SMOKING. Smokers will smoke outside and dispose of butts properly. Fish will be cleaned where caught. The remains will be carefully wrapped in plastic bags and placed in outdoor trash cans. Help keep Galveston clean! Garbage will be put in securely tied plastic bags and placed in the trash bins provided. In the case of a mandatory evacuation, Guests agree to evacuate homes as per City of Galveston orders. In the case of evacuation, the decision to re-enter the house is solely that of the Property Mgt. Company. Seaweed cannot be relocated on the beach without a permit. However, clearing a pathway to the water with a hand rake is allowed.

Our first impression was “oh, no!!” — or words to that effect. The back of the property was literally torn up. A contractor sign let us know that the bulkhead was being replaced. That proved to be the only real issue but it meant workers with heavy equipment every day and no privacy or real security. Only 3 of the garages were available and the rain flooded one side of the parking area. The house was very spacious. We would have enjoyed the sun room more if it were air conditioned and would have liked a bigger (42”?) TV.

With my family there was enough room for sure! A little sun protection for the pool would be the only thing that I would suggest be added to the porch area but all in all it was a great location and nice property. . As soon as the bulkhead that was being added during our stay is completed fishing from the shore will be great! The maintenance technician was friendly and got on the small repairs needed prior to our stay but were not brought to light until our stay. Billie and her team, the promptness on the property managers was amazing.

Only issue I had was the check out instructions were a bit misleading. Overall, I would recommend and definitely stay again! Beautiful home!

Property was nice and roomy; had a couple of appliance issues ( the freezer leaked a bit so we left a towel down in front of it, and the microwave turntable wouldn't turn.) Grill probably needs to be replaced (since it's listed as an amenity)- we cooked in the kitchen so we were okay. Yes, the pool is older and could use some work/updates - but it was clean and blue. Billie was great- very responsive to all questions and yes, there was an odor upon arrival - Billie worked with the city and it was fixed. We were very comfortable having all the space and the pool. We didn't feel all crammed in together - and of course, great views!! Thank you Billie - we enjoyed our stay with family and appreciate your communication!

The house is elevated so the lower portion is all parking / storage. When we arrived, I could tell the sewage had backed up. Surely the previous tenants had a similar issue or whoever cleaned the property should have noticed it. With all the rain we’ve been having I thought it might have been an isolated incident. Boy, was I wrong the next day all the drains in the parking area had backed up. As we were out at the pool all day, we didn’t notice it but when we went in the house the smell was unbearable. I contacted the agent but as it was late rotor rooter didn’t arrive until the following afternoon. They snaked the line but it did not help. I contacted the agents again and was informed the problem was on the city side. The city arrived the following afternoon and cleared the issue. This was our last night and we were leaving the next morning. Also, upon arrival both trash cans were full but collection was supposed to pass the following day. It didn’t, so Wednesday I contacted sanitation and they came and collected the refuse; however, one was only half emptied. I paid too much money to deal with these issues while on vacation.
