Very disappointed

Good location close to the center and the airport. You could find everything you need in one building. Breakfast was also very rich, as well as very big plus for the preparation of the coffee by barista.

Cold character of a place (we felt like in a one big mall). The staff wasn’t really trained or helpful to meet 5 star hospitality standards. It was hard for them to answer the questions or even to guide us about the property when we arrived. We have book room for 3 people and when getting the room it was prepared only for 2 (2x towels, 2x bathrobes, 2x glasses). When checking in the mini bar was empty and the fridge wasn’t working. TV also had a problem - the screen was switching off from time to time. Outside facilities also haven’t meet the proper 5 star standards. Fake grass, dirty pool and places like which needed repairments. Also with booking this stay we got 10% for food and beverage - this ANYONE from the working staff wanted to accept in the payments. We used services of several restaurants and cafe and every member of the staff didn’t want to accept it explaining it as it’s not the same company providing the discount. At the end after showing to each outlet booking confirmation they agreed for discount. All the process was very tiredful to explain and show to everyone your booking details and asking for your rights. The most unacceptable was while ordering IRD (room service). We have ordered 3 salads, where came just 1. We waited in total 1.5 hour to get our meal. The waiter that was taking the payment was very unkind and hearing about our discount he said he will not do it and we have to pay now normally. He made a whole talk to inform us how wrong we are and at the end we had to pay regular price. You could feel that nobody makes anything here to improve the place. For us, as working many years in 5* hospitality is was very disappointing stay.

Hotel with great potential but requiring deep renovation

Breakfast was awesome. Variety, taste and presentation. The rooms were very comfortable and big. The employees are very professional, welcoming and caring. The SPA experience was very good with a big variety of massages and very good quality. There is a big offer of restaurants and the entrance bar also serves delicious meals. The location is very good, close to an area of restaurants and beach (though public).

The outdoors look really outdated. The pool is narrow for so many people and there isn't a specific pool for kids so everyone mingles in the same narrow pool. The architecture and colors could be modernized. The pool floor area in fake grass which gives it a cheap look. The beach is right in front but it is public and there's no reserved area for the Hotel guests (and no lounge chairs available).

Nice hotel which does not like booking.com

- Breakfast was nice food and fresh - sport facilities, swimming pool, close tot he beach, tennis, all was great - Room was clean, as well as the hotel - Around the beach, lot of restaurants and activities

- Outside the (small) room, it was noisy with hotel air con fan. Asked to change the room but they refused (in fact they even did not call back to say no). As we booked with Booking.com, it looks normal to have poor environment room (as they said) - Asked for late checkout and same, due to booking with booking.com, seems complicated. But finally it was accepted - Restaurant price was high. Better to go outside

I wouldn’t stay in it if I was not racing.

Close to the race venue and big rooms. That’s it.

I booked the hotel through booking.com with breakfast and when I reached there they said that booking.com did not send a request with breakfast and asked me to contact booking to resolve that. Very disappointed. I was charged extra at checkout even though I thought I was charged the whole amount. For all I know I paid everything but at checkout they said that the employee forgot to charge with the taxes etc… very very bad Fridge was not working and the shower could have been better. No chairs in the balcony.

Very happy we stayed at the intercon!

The staff were very helpful and nice. They were always finding quick solutions with no questions asked. Always giving out water if you need it. Early check in was done like a charm even though the hotel was busy. We had rented a car and parking was quite easy.

Tolle Zimmer mit komfortablen Betten. Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter. Diverse Essensmöglichkeiten. Möglichkeit nach Check-Out am Pool zu bleiben. Sehr gute Massage

Restaurants waren alle ziemlich teuer. Sehr viele Vögel auf der Terrasse beim Frühstück.

لغة الترحيب التي يعرفها موظفوا الفندق جميعا في تعاملهم من الاستقبال والمطعم والنادي. اعجبني وجود الكادر العماني الذي يمتلك اللباقة والمهارة في فن الضيافة. نظافة الغرفة واطلالتها، الفطَور وتنوعه، مرافق النادي بتنوع برك السباحة والجيم وغرف السونا والجاكوزي. موقع الفندق رائع بقربه من الشاطئ ووجود حديقة خاصة به

التأخير في استلام الغرفة الا ان الموظفين عوضوا ذلك في تأخير الخروج من الغرفة إلى الساعة الرابعة العشاء لم يكن بنظام البوفيه الا ان خدمة الغرف قدمت عشاءا متنوعا

Schickes Stadthotel mit Strandzugang

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel in Muscat mit direktem Strandzugang, toller Poollandschaft und super Frühstücksbuffet. Wir haben hier unsere Omanreise gestartet und den sehr schönen Strand genossen. Gut gelegen um Muscat zu erkunden. Außerhalb des Hotels sind Restaurants fußläufig erreichbar.

كل شي مميز.. موقع رائع وخدمات ممتازة ومرافق جميلة وفطور لذيذ

فقط وقت الوصول وعند استلام الغرفة دخلنا ننام من تعب السفر والوصول.. جاء عامل بعد نصف ساعة من استلامنا للغرفة وقام برن الجرس مرتين وقتها كنا نائمين وللاسف ازعجنا ما فعله وقمنا بفتح الباب له.. وكان طلبه ان يشيك على المبني بار ولكن رفضنا دخوله لانه كان يفترض ان يشيك وقت استلامنا

1970s stay on a 2023 price. Not worth the money. Serious improvements needed to match the global Intercontinental standa

The breakfast was the highlight, we ordered it to the room and it was lovely. The rooms themselves are well appointed and have been moderanosed. The shower was the highlight. Location is excellent, close proximity to a lot of things in Muscat. Has the potential to be a really nice hotel.

This hotel was built in the 1970’s and from being in it, it feels like nothing has been upgraded since. I’m sure it was a 5* hotel when built but now the Intercontinental brand has really let themselves down with this hotel due to the lack of modernisation and general upkeep. I have stayed in multiple Intercontinental hotels around the world and this hotel is no comparison and should be rated more than a 3 star. You can get much nicer hotels with better facilities for a much better price in Muscat. I wouldn’t waste your money on this hotel until there is serious renovations & changes done.

Wonderful Beach 5 Star Hotel on the Indian Ocean

The sea-facing bedroom was large and well-appointed. We liked the quality of the furnishings in this wonderful 5-star hotel. Wherever you go the staff are great, and the swimming pools and beach are very good. This is a very scenic and relaxing location between the mountains and the warm blue Indian Ocean.

I find it hard to find fault except to say a happy hour would be nice at the beach bar and the restaurant a the beach was a little disappointing given the price of the food.

the food was not good, the room was not clean, the heater is not working, the view of the room was bad, too much noisy of the air conditioner machines from outside, couldn’t sleep well, the staff are annoying buy knock the door every time. The prices is expensive of this bad facilities.

Idéal pour une halte à Mascate

Bon accueil et hôtel parfaitement situé. Les chambres sont spacieuses et biens aménagées. L’espace piscine est appréciable. La salle de sport géniale.

L’aspect extérieur de l’hôtel est vraiment austère et la vue depuis les chambres côté ville n’est pas belle du tout.

Location and clean rooms

The public beach , I had some men staring at me and my kids in a shady way ! I wasn’t comfortable and I felt being watched in a bad way. I think you should have security men from the hotel. Door to beach was sometimes unlocked and anyone can come in !

Good place to start exploring Oman

Good place to relax after long flight. Very nice inside but a bit below five-star hotel standards. Very nice and helpful staff.

Lack of signs, you have to ask direction for everything - gym, pool, breakfast place… Some facilities are getting old. Breakfast place was very messy due to overcapacity of the place…

Breakfast was excellent. Please include dinner also in package with some charges. During my booking, dinner was shown as a separate package (to be paid at hotel), but unfortunately not available at hotel once enquired. Room was not completely ready; some items (in washroom) were missing, but provided upon call.
