Lovely stay in one of the best bays

Great stay on a great Thai island! Everything was great from arriving to departing. Staff was friendly, the bungalows itself were lovely and spacious, nice outside space to sit and relax in the evenings and watch the wildlife go by (fireflies, bats, geckos), and Bang Bao Bay is just stunning and perfect for swimming and snorkelling. We rented the snorkelling equipment from the hotel and went to the far right of the bay, stunning! We also used the complimentary kayaks and watched the sunset from the sea, beautiful. The restaurant of the property was right by the beach and pier and offered a lovely scenery. As the description stated there is no public swimming pool which was no issue whatsoever as the sea is so super shallow and the water is crystal clear. The beach is fairly narrow but it’s not crowded so no issue and another huge and stunning beach is only a 5 min motorbike ride from there too. Would definitely come back.

Perfect relaxing location, beautiful clear water , excellent choice of food for breakfast and dinner Snorkelling over on the right side of the bay will surprise you, use a full face mask and you can relax on top of the water and view a large display of fish around the rocky area, like an aquarium ! !

Unvergessliche Tage auf Koh Kood

Die Unterkunft liegt in einer traumhaften Bucht und stellt den Gästen kostenlos Kayaks zur Verfügung, um diese auch zu erkunden. Weitere Wassersportaktivitäten werden ebenfalls angeboten. Wir hatten ein super Strandbungalow in dem wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt haben. Das Bett ist sehr bequem und alles wird extrem sauber gehalten. Die Anlage ist ein Natural Resort, weshalb Barfußlaufen angesagt ist. Auch in den öffentlichen Toiletten! Was zuerst komisch/untypisch/ekelig klingt, ist hier kein Problem und irgendwie.. natürlich, befreiend :) der Boden wird gefühlt hinter jedem Gast nass gewischt, ich weiß es nicht, ich habe mich jedenfalls nie unwohl gefühlt und die Räumlichkeiten stets sauber vorgefunden. Das Essen ist lecker, die Sitzmöglichkeiten für Regenstunden oder das Abendessen am Strand hervorragend und wir hatten jeden Tag Liegen zur Verfügung. Der Steg, der ins Meer führt, ist herrlich. Vor allem mit den beiden Stühlen: Sonnenuntergang - Cocktails, was will man mehr. Für 300 Baht kann man täglich Roller mieten und die Insel abfahren, auch ein gutes Angebot und wirklich empfehlenswert. Wir hatten viel Spaß und haben tolle Fleckchen entdeckt. Auf die Nachricht zu unserer Verlobung hat uns das Hotel spontan einen unglaublich romantischen Tisch zum Abendessen gedeckt und mir sogar einen Blumenstrauß mit Geschenk (Erinnerung an Ort und Tag) überreicht. Wir waren absolut überwältigt und halten diesen Tag/diesen Urlaub in toller Erinnerung. Vielen Dank nochmal an das ganze Team :) alle waren so süß und freudig, freundlich. Eben stets mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht.

Das wir nicht länger bleiben konnten, aber bei einer Rundreise muss man eben irgendwann weiterziehen.

objectively good value, but didn't feel worth the money

breakfast and overall friendiness of the staff

the location and "mood" was kinda sad & boring (to be fair, it was rainy season, so not much sunlight), and while the staff were always very friendly when asking them, they didn't really actively look after your needs without asking them. I would have expected better service tbh.

Awesome beach, but service has to improve

Awesome location with one of the best private beaches in Thailand.

The service and the food in the restaurant was terrible. The staff barely spoke any English and 8 out of 10 times we didn’t get the correct order. Since there is no other restaurant in walking distance you are stuck to eat there.

Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, great beach for swimming!

Stayed at Sky Beach Front Villa. --Great shower and bath option :) It's most private of the villas closer to the beach. However, there is no direct access to the beach from the balcony, only partial view of the sea.

We were picked up from the boat with other guests whom we did not know. Upon arrival to, we were all addressed collectively as a group and were handed keys . The whole arrival arrangement was bit impersonal and unwelcoming because of group like excursion feeling and barely any opportunity to ask all the questions you would like to ask upon arrival. Not a big deal, but definitely a point of improvement.

Wonderful resort with a perfect beach

The hotel is super nice and modern. The Rooms are very nice! The staff is super helpful with everything. The beach is totally clean and the water is crystal clear and chill.

Everything at the resort closes at 9pm and is seems a bit dead after that.

Great stay!

The location is great, right on bang bao Bay which is a beautiful area in the island. The beach right in front of the resort is good but our personal favorite is when you walk 5minutes down towards the south side of the bay. The atmosphere of the resort feels really tranquil, inviting and peaceful which we liked a lot. The bed is very comfortable and the staff really amiable and kind. Everything feels really clean. We also really enjoyed breakfast which had a variety of Asian dishes, French toast, pancakes, fruit, salad, pastries.

Only thing i did not like is that there were some big ants in the bathroom. I know this is hard to avoid due to being on a tropical island. I am not sure where they came from but perhaps making sure the bathroom is better sealed would be a good idea.

Most awesome place to be!

The Beach is one of the best locations on the island and for me traveling a lot one of the top 5 places to be. The staff was very caring and always helpful. We really enjoyed the 10 days and relaxed fully to a maximum extend. We can recommend this place at top rate.

This resort was great. Higher on the price end but the facilities were very nice. Breakfast was great and all the staff was very helpful. Bang Bao Bay is beatifical and the water is very clear making the location of this resort a plus. the villas are great and private.

Beach area was a little small and did not have a lot of beach chairs for everyone in the resort. Just make sure you get down there by 8am and pick your spot and you will be fine

The rooms facilities were really nice The breakfast was very good, great variety and beat bacon we had so far ;)

The restaurant staff could speak better English and also be more attentive regarding offering and cleaning up the drinks at the sunbeds at the beach.

Wonderful

Super friendly and efficient staff. Food was excellent particularly the breakfast. Superb selection of Asian dishes along with Western options. Waffles, French toast, pastries and eggs to order etc Beautiful location.

Possibly not enough sunbeds on the beach although this wasn't helped by some guests "reserving" sunbeds by leaving towels etc then going out for half a day.

Very relaxing place on an absolutely beautiful beach

Staff are extremely friendly and made you feel very welcome.

Went during the wet season, didn't rain every day but was windy. But that is to be expected.

Ok for a few nights - smaller rooms would have been better in price / value

The bang bao beach near to the hotel is really nice, even if the hotel beach itself was a bit of a shock to us - We also liked the big room (Sky) with the bathtub etc. Staff was super kind, but partially very unexperienced. Breakfast and food were also "OK" but nothing special - for the price we hoped for a bit more but would probably go either with a smaller room next time, or somewhere else for the same price...

The room with the bathtub was nice, but not worth the price - once we were there we thought we could have easily taken a smaller room with less than half the price - safe the money for sth else ;) The beach area directly at the hotel during green-season was a shock to us - the tight was higher and there was rubbish, kables, plastic and stuff laying around the beach, the grill corner looked like a plastic junkyard not used and sadly the wooden-jetty was so destroyed you could not walk on it, it was closed. The food was ok, but you are better off walking a bit on the beach to some other restaurant or even go outside for the price. Staff was super nice, but also very unexperienced it felt like some of them just started working a week ago, which is not their fault, everyone needs to start somewhen after covid, but again... it didn't feel like it was worth the money during greenseason.

Beautiful,relaxing resort

The resort was beautiful and the rooms were large and private , ours with sea views. Balcony on every room, really comfortable bed and the food here was fresh and delicious. Buffet breakfast included . Other places to eat close by if you want a change of scenery .

Customer service and all staff are impressive. They are all polite and proactive. The staff called for a reminder of the stay and also sent a message to us for what we needed to pack. The staff even offered and called another resort to pick us up for the next day as we planned to stay in 2 different resorts in 2 different beaches. The food at the restaurant was very nice including breakfast. The room was clean. Every staff always greeted us very politely whenever we met. Nothing disappointed. We'll be back again.
