RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck. Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #248 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center. Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units. The unit was a disappointment. Dirty couch, dirty baseboards, worn out bathtub & sink area. Kitchen had hardly any dishes, silverware. The microwave was rusty.

We paid for ocean front and our facility was not , place was old , bathroom and shower was rusty old water pressure was bad, refrigerator in kitchen was leaking inside and making our food wet, furnitures needed to be washed and cleaned they put a broken light in leaving room bed was noisy and uncomfortable we paid $300 per day for this trashy place We will never rent place from RVA again we found several cockroaches in the kitchen, bathroom and living room ( I took pictures of them)

We were disappointed in the poor cleaning of the rooms,especially the screened in porch which was very dirty. Also the air conditioning was out when we first got there, it was repaired shortly after we checked in, but went out again late Sunday afternoon. It was still not repaired when we checked out. We've been renting a room at Silver Sands for appox. 20 years sand this is the 1st time we've experienced these issues. We have recommended Silver Sands to many friends and family members over the years and hope they won't experience the same issues.

I rented 5 units for my family. We have been there before, but this time may be the last Since I am paying $10K+ you would think that my unit would be flawless. Wrong. Stains on couch cushions , rusted inside microwave, rusted bathtub. Windows were filthy. That was just 248.

Cute, comfortable, clean space on the most beautiful beach! Chairs were already in the beach ready to go! The screened porch was another great place for dinners and wine while listening to the waves crash! The pool was right outside the front door! Will be back!

Everything we were looking for and more
The property was exactly how described and we were quite happy about how clean everything was.
Just a very short walk and you are on the beach.
The amenities were very good, beach chairs, umbrella provided.
We would definitely come back and stay again!

Our rooms were nice and clean. Had a kitchen and a little patio area. Room exits right to the pool and beach area. Very nice and relaxing place. Enjoyed it. The amenities were convenient and available. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating.

I loved the property, pool, screen porch, and size of the unit we were in and location. The beach behind the property is beautiful! The price was ridiculous, but I understand that it is peak season. Th bed was absolutely unacceptable for a room that was over $400 for one night. One side was very soft, the other side had basically no support and you just sunk into a hole. The bed frame also makes a lot of noise when you roll over. As much as I loved the place overall, I probably wouldn't go back knowing the beds can be that awful. We let the front office know how unhappy we were with the quality of the bed, especially for the price and they said they'd let the owners know to get a new bed. We also found dirty dishes in our dishwasher.

My family and I have been vacationing at Silver Sands every summer for the past 16 years. This year, we had family members in six separate units. Everyone experienced multiple issues involving maintenance and cleanliness. My unit had an old worn out mattress with a deep dent in it. The bathroom mirror was hung so low that when standing in front of it ( I’m 5’-9”) I could see from my chin to my waist. The room wasn’t cleaned at all during our 6 night stay. Housekeeping came in one day and took our used towels and emptied the trash cans. I emptied the trash myself the other days. The grate at the bottom of the refrigerator was lying on the floor. There was rust on the side of the fridge and the interior was dirty. I counted 20 pot holes in the parking lot. My daughter’s room did not have air conditioning until 7:00pm the second day. The entire property seemed to be in decline. After many good years at Silver Sands, this year will be our last.
