Exceptional

Big room with a balcony, restaurant downstairs open till late night (morning) hours, so you can grab some dinner if you come late in the evening.

The breakfast was OK, but could be better (more fresh stuff, a little wider variety).

Window blinds were not working properly, floor needs to be repainted. Windows covered with dust, but I believe it is because of the surroundings.

Good value for money, right in the center to everything

Our room (2 twin beds an sofa for four persons) was clean and cozy. Breakfast was ok, lets say 8 stars out of 10. To make it 10 we would expect fried/scrambled eggs in addition to the boiled ones. Breakfast has coffee, tea juices, yogurt, boiled eggs, bread/toast bread, croissants, butter, jams, nut cream, salami, ham, two choices of cheese, various cookies, some days fruits (watermelon, apples, bananas), vegetables (iceberg salat, tomatoes, cucumbers), hot traditional riisipiirakka buns, various milks and cereals (cornflakes, mixed ones, etx), nuts and hot oat porridge every morning. Very close to the mane ski lift and in the center of everything. All Ruka village shops and restaurant are in reach of 3 minutes walk. Cross country ski tracks also very close (next to the main parking lot). Hotel and restaurant staff friendly. Hotel also has a small lounge area with the kettle, microwave and filter coffee machine, couple of tables and chairs/desks where guests can warm they meals and make hot drinks. However it shall be noted that from the dishware only the plastic glasses are there, no plates, no cutlery.

As for overall experience the plus would be if your hotel would have ski and ski boot storage facility. We have rented ski box from the main (Piste) building, so did not need to carry skis as suggested by the hotel staff to store in the balcony. Probably it would be good idea to provide information about possibility to rent skis and boots storage elsewhere if the hotel does not intend to develop such facilities in house. I believe it would help guests to decide to choose this hotel being confident that they will be able to rent the ski storage elsewhere. Moreover it would even be beneficial for the hotel because bringing skis and boots into the rooms deteriorate the interior of the hotel to certain extent. And the last remark, as many guests already pointed out in the the fact that restaurant zone has a karaoke bar and even some concerts/events on Fridays. We were lucky that we were located at the 4th floor, so the Karaoke noise did not disturb us mostly. However Friday nigh concert was very loud and the music could have been heard through the ventilation system, and later after the bar was closed (probably) at 4 o'clock at night there was a big noise out in the street and we could not sleep well.

Perfect location, great service!

Great place to stay in the center of Ruka village and right next to the ski lifts. Comfortable spacious rooms, helpful staff, good breakfast!

A great value for money accomodation. Very helpful staff, especially the bartender who helped us with all our questions. They have everything that a tourist would like to get: nice hotel, good restaurant, and the adventure activities. Would love to come back here!

Breakfast was with good basics on the Finnish standard! Nothing fancy though. We visited low season, so with those rates value for money was good. Very friendly staff and excellent location, tidy.

Great place to stay in the middle of Ruka village

Big room with two single beds, couch, and balcony in 2nd floor. Good breakfast with vegan options (porridge, bread, fruits, and veggies)

Could hear the Karaoke a little bit.

Pleasant

The room was bigger than normal double rooms.

The room #22 was above the restaurant which was open till 4 AM. Every time someone sang karaoke we woke up. We were able to sleep only couple of hours.

Fantastic view from the top!

. I liked I was away from the bar and noise. The breakfast was nice . The place was very clean

The man that took my key back wanted a second key card. I am disappointed that a solo woman travelling on her own is questioned.

Big room, clean, great location. Very bad breakfast, no fridge in the room.

Room was spacious. Location was great. And it was clean.

The breakfast was maybe the worst ever. No scrambled eggs, no sausages, no bacon. Very limited bread selection. The Zone restaurant is in dear need of a renovation. Not very nice to have breakfast there. There was no fridge in the room. Something small should be always available. There was no bidet shower for the toilet. I don't know why you wouldn't install such a useful and cheap device when doing these new buildings. There was no cleaning during our stay (3 nights).

Feeling robbed.

Breakfast was poorest one I had in Finland and I have travelled a lot - no bacon, sausages or anything warm, only two options for bread and meat-toppings, no fish- or vegan choices, only warm milk, staff walked around without masks, tea tasted bad (heater haven't been cleaned) and every morning staff have forgot something crusial like coffee spoons.. Next hotel is a much cheaper and breakfast is double times better. And why restaurant looks like a cheap pub? What's the point of making new beautiful rooms and poor services? We won't be coming again in this overprized place.

Everything beside room size and design. There was no fridge or tea cooker in the room, which is pretty basic thing in every hotel. Also no place for skiis or drying cabinet for clothes. No one came to make our beds or changed towels for 4 days - it was extra service with extra prize.. Restarants burgers were good though.

The room was big and quiet, everything worked out as planned. Also the view was nice.

Besides couple of splinters from the wood floor, nothing to complain.

Pleasant short stay before Karhunkierros

Nice Hotel on the center of Ruka village. Easy to access from the bus drop point. Staff was very welcoming and the broad availability to check-in is really convenient (up to 4am). The restaurant can provide meal until 1.30am but we went somewhere else as it was not that late. Buffet breakfast had all you can expect in a Finnish style (+1 for the oat yogurt).

The room was a bit hot and dry, we had to wake up at night to drink. Slightly on the expensive side for a regular room but I guess it's the same everywhere in Ruka Village.

Great skiing, but next time I'll search for a hotel with a sauna...

Location of the hotel is very good. In the winter time having the parking garage next door was nice too.

The hotel does not have a storage room for the ski equipment. Skis and boots had to be stored in the room. Breakfast was quite basic, no bacon or fried eggs... In addition, it was surprising that in a Finnish hotel like this there is no sauna!
