Nestled in Adirondack Mountains, this lovely house for £276 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Beautiful Tri level log home situated on several private acres with its own non motorized lake. Well equipped kitchen, cozy living room with electric fireplace, loft area great for kids play, laundry room, 3 bedrooms( King, Queen, 2 twin beds and futon), 2 full baths, Large bar and gathering area with walkout patio, great for grilling. Spacious wrap around porch with plenty of seating. Huge well manicured lawn offers beautiful views of the water and surrounding hills. If you like privacy this is the place for you. Ideal family get away or perfect honeymoon spot. Great place for children, lots of lawn to run around on, many activities provided. There are no pets, parties or smoking allowed. We also have a minimum rental age of 30 for the primary renter. For security reasons there are cameras viewing the entrance doors.

Ray's Retreat is just that. A beautiful setting to enjoy all that Central New York has to offer. If you are hiking, antiquing, visiting the local college campuses or just "retreating," this is the place.

The property and cabin are absolutely gorgeous. There are many movies, games and activities available for every age group. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Just loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chair and watching the pond.

Ray’s Rustic Retreat is absolutely gorgeous! It was everything that our family needed… it had so many activities to do at every age level. The fishing however took first place with our family as an activity. Maureen was very responsive to our emails and was very helpful before and during our stay. The cabin was very clean and it just made you feel so welcome!! We plan to return again!

We will looking for a fun and comfortable spot for our family (couple with adult children and partners) while we attended events for a family wedding in Utica. It was an easy scenic drive to Utica. The rustic retreat was clean, lovely and well-equipped for fun. During our quiet times, we were able to play their Kan Jam in their large yard. Kitchen was well-stocked and even had an electric griddle for pancakes. The beds were also comfortable after some long days. It was perfect for us. Thank you.

The grounds were well kept, views spectacular, kayaking, paddleboat, horseshoe, badminton, cornhole, games for the kids and firepit. Will definitely book again next year

Wonderful property! So much to do. Went Kayaking for the first time, took our kids fishing for the first time and had a few camp fires. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you could need and very clean. Loved this property. We throughly enjoyed our stay!

The cabin is in great condition, very private, and better than advertised. The hosts were kind and very communicative. There were so many fun things to do inside or out rain or shine. The cabin is very well stocked and lovingly cared for. Our grandson declared "It is the best cabin EVER!"

Our family came to celebrate Colgate graduation and it was the perfect location. 15-20 minutes away and such a cool house with beautiful views and so many activities to do at the house…corn hole, paddle boat, badminton, horseshoes etc. just a fantastic getaway totally private and comfortable

This property is amazing!!! The pictures do not do with his property justice. It is much nicer and much newer than the picture show. Upon arriving at the Cabin the first thing I noticed was how clean this cabin was. If you are all worried about Covid, you have no concerns at this property it was spotless including every window. My husband and I needed a time of rest which that cabin was perfect for. But if you bring your family, this property offers so much. Both inside and out!! The kitchen is fully stocked, as are paper goods, such as paper towels , toilet paper, etc. There was dish soap dishwasher soap laundry soap etc. also. I cannot recommend this property enough, we had a great time.

The property was very clean and very comfortable. It had everything that we needed and more. Very peaceful. The weather was a little chilly, but the electric fireplace warmed up the living area. If it had been warmer I am sure that we would have used the fire pit and outdoor games that were there. The Poolville County Store was our favorite restaurant.

Everything we needed was there. It truly felt like a home away from, just without the civilization of in-town living. The sunsets were gorgeous this visit, last spring it was the company of 2 resident geese on the pond, and last fall it was trying out all of the games. So we get something different each visit. We'll keep coming back.

Beautiful home surrounded by nature. The house is even more beautiful than the pictures portray. My kids had a great week fishing and swimming in the lake and roasting marshmallows by the fire. We would definitely love to return.

We have been renting Ray’s Rustic Retreat for several years now and I can’t say enough good things about this property! The property itself is stunning and beautifully landscaped. The home is immaculate, the beds and the furniture extremely comfortable and the house is very well equipped. The porches are perfect for morning coffee, afternoon or evening cocktails or just relaxing the day away! If you or your children or grandchildren are more adventurous, there are numerous games and activities to enjoy. Our grandchildren especially loved the boats, fishing ( a perfect place to take kids fishing as they always catch fish) and playing basketball. Maureen and Jim are the perfect hosts and are continually adding improvements to this gorgeous property. They go above and beyond to make certain their guests have everything they need for an enjoyable stay! We had an amazing stay at Ray’s Rustic Retreat! The house itself was very, very clean and comfortable! It had everything you would need, plus so many extras! And the property is so peaceful and private. The pictures can’t even do it justice! Our boys loved fishing in the pond - they caught so many fish! We spent so much time playing outside and enjoying time with family. It was a very memorable vacation, and we would love to come back & stay again in the future!

We came here last year and the peace, quiet and beauty are so healing. We just relaxed. I brought my scrapbooking stuff, we slept in, watched movies and were lazy. My husband was in between 2 surgeries and it was the perfect place to get away and be quiet for a few days.

Like some of the other reviewers indicate, this place is just absolutely perfect. Maureen and Jim have obviously thought of everything to make everyone comfortable. Not only is the fire pit perfectly placed, but they also think of the little things like providing a starter kit for s'mores and supplying enough wood for our first campfire. They even had kindling, a lighter and the little wood chip covered wax balls used to start the fire. As soon as we arrived, there was an incredible sense of calm about the whole place, and we were immediately able to relax. So many places look nice, but the beds are not comfortable. Not here! The beds were VERY comfortable! This makes a huge difference when renting for more than a couple of nights. We certainly plan to book this place for future stays for whenever we visit central NY. Thanks again to Maureen and Jim for setting the example on what a Premier Host looks like!

This is a beautiful home and property just off Rt. 20 in CNY about 20 minutes from Colgate University. Our kids really enjoyed the lake, basketball court, rolling lawn and fields, and fire pit. Inside you'll find everything you need and more to complete your stay. Only downside... no pets. Other than that, this is one of the best properties we've ever rented. Enjoy!

This property was just too good to be true. It was like 10 stars. Anything you could possibly need while away from home was provided. The house and property were just stunning. The hosts must be special folks to share this lovely home and setting with others.

Our family stayed at this wonderful Sangerfield home for our sons graduation from Colgate. Just 20 minutes from campus it is the perfect location to relax and gather with family and friends to celebrate. The house is equipped with anything you could possibly need to entertain all ages from fishing to smores at the firepit. Maureen and Jim are spectacular hosts!!

We chose this property to celebrate Easter with my daughter because it was close to her college. She, with some of her teammates, were able to join us for dinner in this most amazing property. Clean is an understatement! This property is all you would expect and more. The pictures accurately represent the house and surrounding property. Ever where you look is beautiful! In a nutshell, our visit to this property was perfect in every respect! The setting is even more beautiful than the listing suggests. The house was absolutely spotless and had every amenity that we wanted. The owner was very accommodating and responsive. Looking forward to visiting again!

This is our second trip to the property. Words can not do it justice it is beautiful, peaceful and serene. The house is impeccably maintained, fully stocked and incredibly decorated. You feel like your home the minute you drive onto the property. Maureen and Jim are wonderful hosts completely available and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. We will be back again next year.
