Lovely large rooms with separate bedroom and lounge room overlooking the hotel pool and harbour. Our son joined us for a night and housekeeping transformed the sofa bed into a double bed at no additional charge. Hand made Easter Eggs outside our door on Easter Sunday was a lovely touch.
Unfortunately, the new waterslide resulted in high pitched screaming periodically from 2-7pm; despite the fact that the hotel rules stated that the waterslide would be closed at 5pm - it wasn't. Lovely to see children having so much fun but perhaps a hotel staff member giving out Easter Eggs to children who came down quietly would have minimised this problem.

Pretty much nothing
Breakfast was a mess. Plates were not clean and food crumbs all over the floor. Breakfast selection was poor. We asked the staff for a clean table and she shrugged us off and said to go outside when all the outside tables were occupied. I asked her if she could remove the empty plates from one of table and she completely ignored us, so we ended up moving it ourselves. Some of the empty tables had used plates on just sitting there. It was like they didn't want people to come sit down for breakfast. The staff seemed unorganized and didn't know where to move or what to do. I don't think they were prepared for a lot of people turning up for breakfast during the long Easter holiday. Some of the staff enjoyed talking to each other more than talking to the guests waiting for their attention.
The rooms had no bottled water for guests, at least put two complimentary water for your guests as a welcome gesture. No milk in the fridge for coffee or tea. The bathtub was slippery once you use soap, so be very careful. My husband ended up falling hurting his back and spraining his ankle. Perhaps, a good idea to put a non-slippery mat inside the tub. We called the reception a few times in the night and no one picked up.
The housekeeping staff woke us up at 8 in the morning to clean the room. Like who does that? We came there to relax.
The hotel is in a great location. But the hotel itself does not offer much for its guests.

No sweet biscuits in room to have with self serve coffee

Loved the location of this accommodation. Right on the water, very quite room, pool was amazing. The slide is pretty good too! Valet parking was a lovely addition. It is within walking distance to many restaurants if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Staff were super friendly and accommodating.
Bed was a little firm and shower pressure wasn't that great but water was temperature was good.
Lounge was a little uncomfortable and I couldn't figure out how to work the TV, in the end I didn't need it, but would have been good to figure it out :)

very rude service and that the bathroom wasn’t cleaned upon arrival. there was public hair in the bathtub, it was disgusting. i had to sterilise it upon arrival. then had to pay $13 or so for something i was told by the manager personally, was complimentary.
not a good experience and far too expensive for a poor experience.

View, the bed
Cheap coffee/ bar. Rip off parking charging 35 a night for valet but not explaining its for parking- rude. Plates and ice buckets left in the hallway … staff banging on our door, despite us continuing to say wait so we could answer , he almost walked in Only to ask us if we needed our bar fridge topped up FFS…disappointing for such a well known company , I won’t be recommending.

Closeness to water front.
The shower was horrible. The toilet was dirty on arrival. There was dust over the alarm clock.

No foxtel or movies to watch. Plus didn't get all the food we ordered even after ringing reception.

Bed was really comfortable, liked being able to open the windows. Fantastic location - some noise from the pool works while I was working.
Found the breakfast buffet and the room service (only tried the late night menu) food very average for the prices charged.

Never had room service in my life but restaurant was booked out. My expectations weren’t high. I expected Luke warm dry food. Boy was I wrong. One the best meals I’ve had in a long time.
No parking is a bit of a pain but view is worth it.

Facilities and location
Room had dead cockroach on floor clearly visible on entry and dirty sock under edge of bed, again clearly visible, and I feel that I was overcharged - room price had dropped considerably since my booking. I was not offered lower price at check-in when I asked about this. I should have cancelled a day earlier and re-booked, but did not think that it would have been necessary. It is an incentive to cancel booking next time for this type of accommodation if price has dropped.

Shower tub combo was less comfortable than anticipated.

The room was very comfortable
The venue and room were dated, could do with an update or at the least a freshen up.

Fantastic location, great views, friendly helpful staff
The buffet breakfast was terrible - no bread left for toast, no-one clearing tables, grumpy staff

The view from the room to the water was nice with the container ships coming into port
Was charged double for the room we only found out at checkout. We had a fire evacuation at 2.45am no one knew what was happening one man just stood at the counter with nothing to say. No communication of what was happening and no one was in charge. They finally said we could return to our rooms with not even a sorry, and on checkout nothing was even mentioned. Not a great way to get you to come back.

Nice clean room and staff were friendly! Hotel was close to the beach! Buffet had several varieties but wish they provided small things like salt, pepper, mayo etc for people to use and more fruits. but other than that it was a really nice buffet brekky!
There isn’t many facilities. No microwave, no balcony (ones with balcony were very small) and the lighting in the room was very dim! The worst part was that the vallet parking is $35/n and they put your car in an open plot (sandy) nearby. If you see that is where they park your car, you won’t pay for vallet parking lol but all vallet staff were very nice! Also, pool closes at sunset and the ride was closed..

The room was old and small. outdated toilet and bath. an old noisy fridge was in the room. Breakfast buffet was terrible. Very limited variety. The sausage were not properly cooked and had low quality. Cofectioanry was almost zero. There were a few croissants that were not fresh. I went to pick up a bowl of salads. some bowls had dirrts on them. I picked up a few others, they were wet sitting on top of each other.
The general vibe and cleanliness of the hotel.
