Nestled in Rodanthe, this charming house for £196 per night is a great choice for your next break. SOUNDFRONT Rodanthe- Wimble Shoals Dr. Welcome Home! This stunning vacation paradise has everything you could ask for in a Hatteras Island vacation retreat. Just thirty feet from the Pamlico Sound, GONE WITH THE WIND sits on over an acre of land with well over 300 feet of pristine sound frontage.This home was designed to offer the best of all worlds for those who stay here. It is a windsurfing, kiting and family vacation paradise that boasts multiple sandy beaches right outside your door. A rigging area and ample storage add to this home's quick reputation as one of the best Hatteras sporting enthusiast's homes available. GONE WITH THE WIND is surrounded by water on two sides and is one of the only homes on the island with a cove. You'll have a huge yard for outside activities, access to the beach (a short walk to the end of the street across Hwy 12), and multiple decks to enjoy one of the best sunset views on the island. Additionally, there's a game room with pool table and arcade game. This home has six bedrooms three of which are masters (including the stunning master suite on the top floor). A "kid room" with two bunks shares a bath with a spacious bedroom (king sized bed). The other bedroom has a king bed and is located on the first floor down the hall from the game room. There's laundry on the mid level, an airy screened porch for afternoon snacks on the top level, and the grand, livable top floor great room gives you such a spectacular view that you'll think you are on your own, private cruise ship. With the new Jug Handle Bridge recently opened the once-busy road has been emptied of through traffic, making the route to the beach that much easier! Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the $200 weekly fee will apply for each dog and will be added once your reservation is finalized. This property is managed by Surf or Sound Realty. More payment options available after booking. Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-refundable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. *You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. Beautiful location plenty of room for everyone, Home was clean beds comfortable only comment would be to watch out on the decks. Last step to water was missing a board and landing going to outdoor shower starting to slope down.

House is beautiful and lovely location but is for sale and upkeep has gone by wayside. Light bulbs out, missing or torn screens, no hangers in closets, many TV's didn't work due to missing cables or no batteries in remotes, no guidance for remotes or how to work TV's. Would be 5 star with some TLC.

We had a wonderful time. The house is as advertised. Everything was clean when we arrived. We did have a couple of times (new dishwasher install was not completed before we got there, and one toilet had an issue) but the rental Company did fantastic job of resolving in a very quick timeframe. We would definitely stay there again. Note: the new bridge is now complete and in full view from the back of the property, but that did not affect us at all.

We enjoyed our family vacation at this property! We loved the space and the updated decor. We also loved basically having our own private beach for the week. We will definitely be coming back to this house!

This property was amazing! It was a short walk to the beach, and located right on the sound. Our kids enjoyed kayaking in the sound every day and we had a beach fire on the ocean every night. There were lots of shops and restaurants nearby. There were several local businesses and attractions that were shut down due to COVID, but we still had an amazing time. We would definitely love to come back!

The home was very spacious and the property was very nice. Absolutely loved that it was dog friendly. Unfortunately with COVID there were ALOT of basic stuff left out. Nothing to clean up with, only one roll of toilet paper left for 4 bathrooms? Ridiculous. And I will never book a home like this through VRBO and pay an extra fee just to book and then be immediately turned over to the local real estate agency. Beautiful area, very comfy house. But you better bring everything else you need! Especially towels and toilet paper.

Although interesting to watch a bridge being constructed, the construction noise began at dawn and continued through dusk. This was not what I expected when I rented the home. The view and peace of the sound was interrupted. Luckily for us, our 30 somethings brought speakers capable of cancelling some of the noise.

Gone With The Wind this House was Beautiful as Listed ….. But Renter Beware they are building the Jug Handle Bridge out in front of this house The Pile Driving and Construction Noise during the week was Insane !!! After Saving for over 2 years for this Vacation I was only Refunded a very small portion ?? If I would of known this I would of Passed On this Property and would of looked elsewhere .
