There was a heater in the room, comfy beds.

No soap in the shower, a big step getting in and out and not much to hold onto.

Would not stay here unless you like getting eaten by bed bugs in your sleep. Not good enough.

Location was good

Got bitten all over my body with bed bugs, On my head, legs face arms, there where to many bits for it to have been just a small infestation. Beware as they spread so could be in other rooms, Have email the place and told them, Also asked for a refund as i had to visit Pharmacy for medication at a high cost, as of writing this no refund. This is a crap way to finish my South Island trip

Never again

That's a hard one, I guess I've been so spoilt with great backpackers around the world that I was a little taken back by how bad my room was.

The Powerpoints did not work, the fan for the bathroom was so loud that if you were sitting outside it sounded like a plane taking off, they do have washing machines but no dryer and no clothes like to put the wet clothes on, and only two clothes horses that everyone wants to use. The pillows are sooo old I'm sure they have never been replaced... ever. The staff were not very helpful and maybe they don't know how to smile.

Eigentlich ok und nicht halb so schlimm wie von einigen hier beschrieben!

Einfach, gute Lage, preiswert

Es könnte sauberer sein. Der Kochbereich ist groß aber leider nehmen es viele mit der Sauberkeit nicht so ernst! Gewöhnungsbedürftig!

Bedbugs!!!!!

Room is fine, nothing special. Staff were friendly. Location good.

My partner got eaten alive by bedbugs. Avoid at all costs.

Ottima qualità prezzo

Ambiente pulito e accogliente, con cucina e sala comune moderni e piacevoli. Camera pulita e letti comodi.

C'è un cane che vive nell'ostello. Sebbene non mi abbia infastidita, non amo i cani.

Clean and tidy private room, lots of indoor and outdoor shared spaces, and friendly staff.

Ensuite room was very clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and let me drop off bags when I arrived before check-in time. Lots of room in lounge and kitchen areas. Kitchen looked very well stocked with cooking supplies (though I didn't cook anything).

No complaints!

Stinkiges Zimmer - Nie wieder

- gute Lage - geräumiger Essbereich - Fr & Sa gratis Parking an der Strasse

Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer - es roch extrem nach Urin und vermodert. Kaum aushaltbar - im Wc stinkte der Abfluss und der Abzug war extrem laut - Duschkopf ist auf etwa 1.60m montiert und es kam fast kein Wasser - viele kaputte Küchenutensilien Wir wollten nach 1 Nacht schon wieder weg, jedoch gab es keine Unterkünfte mehr.

Great spot close to town, comfortable bed, definitely would stay again, thanks

I arrived late afternoon and was greeted by lovely chap, very helpful, he pointed out where everything was and suggested I take a photo of the outside door code, great idea, in my 70s travelling alone and felt comfortable at all times.

I was staying in unit 18 and the kitchen fan came on several times after 6am for the first people having breakfast, it gave me a start, I do understand you need ventilation in the kitchen but it was loud

Awesome Staff, bad cleaning

The staff was awesome, as the owner. We weren’t very happy with our room, and they changed us to another backpackers in the same city, which was more adequate and never made us feel uncomfortable :)

The cleaning wasn’t great. Had a lot of dust in the room (carpets, curtains, shower aspiration), and had no commodities (not even shower products or towels). But again, the staff figured it all out!

No curtain on the bed. The wall was dirty. Not enough showers and toilets.

My Son's stuff was search through in a sister hotel (shared dorm room). He was then stitched up with complaints, so this room booking was cancelled (they call each other) and not refunded. My son ended up on the street the following evening.

Good location and comfy place

The location is very convenient, it locates in central which very near to intercity bus drop off point. Hostel building appearance very clean and new, easily spotted. Kitchen and room are clean as well.

The bunk bed for Upper deck very high, inconvenient to climb especially for short leg guest like me.

Lovely place, everything was clean, you had your own little light and plug by your bed which is always a plus

The ladder for the upper bed were a little steep, and the room was boiling hot, you have to park a little far away

disgusted bedbugs in this property

During my 5 night stay, I saw bed bugs on my body and belongings in my room on the 2nd day despite providing clean sheets. They did a pest control by steaming the room but still the bugs came the next day. I suspected a lot of black spots here and there on the bottom of the bed above my bed. I have just realized they are bedbug eggs. When I got home, the bites on my skin started to irritate all over my body. I have crazy itching and allergic reactions from bites that have left many scars on my body. They look disgusting and scary! I have a bad memory of Nelson. I hope the owners take this seriously and don't try to shirk their responsibilities anymore. So, no more trouble for all travelers. The reception!! Please stop lying to your quests about bedbugs!!! You said, the travellers to Abel Tasman brought bugs but absolutely that's a lie!!! I have just read the recent reviews. You have told them the same lies as you did to me. I am so angry now. I need to get a refund. I will see your response!!!!

If you are a true backpacker on a budget...maybe

The location is very central. The staff friendly. I had a roof over my head.

This is probably OK if you are 18 and used to being in a dorm with shared bathroom. The carpet smelled of the sweaty feet of a thousand backpackers. I had baby roaches on my bed (but that can be a fact of NZ life), the bathroom reeked of urine and the bedding was not fit for purpose. Synthetic, bobbly and pillows literally falling apart.
