They need to finish the building before accepting guests!

Very disappointed. Our bed broke as soon as we sat on it, the house wasn’t finished, so I don’t think it’s a healthy place to sleep in.. When we got home at night we saw some sort of sand on our bed, when we woke up we saw it was some sort of dust falling from the unfinished ceiling! The shower barely worked, the sink didn’t work, we only got one towel and they didn’t have a second one (we’re two people) and there are no windows in the room. The room door doesn’t reach the end so given what we saw, i was actually scared bugs would come inside. I bet that when they finish the place up it will probably be a good place, but not now!

Better avoid this place

Nothing much, the terrace is at least nice to relax and they have hammocks.

Since I got off the taxi a young man called Cristian from the main entrance to the town followed me into the “hostel” and stayed around insisting he could help me out. He stayed outside the room and I had to tell him that I’d see him later but wanted to settle in and relax. I have no idea what he’s relationship with this place is and no one else was their to let me in except him and another man that also cale in from the street with me and this Cristian guy and he called the owners and told me it would be 30000 pesos and I could pay later. I payed a woman later that I saw leaving the building and never really saw the same people twice in this place and I have no idea who is in charge. Cristian will basically pester you for money in exchange for helping you out, though he helps with nothing you can’t manage yourself. I was alone and couldn’t really get him off my back until I let him arrange a boat trip for the next day which is what I wanted. He said 100000 pesos which is fair but I learnt from the boatman the next day that he was only payed 50000 so Cristian took 50000 for nothing. I hope the boatman got his 50000 back afterwards but I don’t know. I have no clue what this kids relationship to the guesthouse is but he obviously walked in and out of there freely so be warned and for this reason alone I think Booking should ban this place. The room looks like a cellar. It’s a brick and cement and metal sheet for roof construction with a metal door and no windows. Really claustrophobic and unwelcoming. I had to sleep with the light on as it was pitch black otherwise. The bathroom doesn’t have a door, the shower barely has water and the sink leaked. The wc is really close to the wall and sitting down and getting up was complicated. I still don’t know who the staff were as I interacted with all sorts of people and never the same ones.
