Charged twice by mistake and was quickly rectified, no problem at all.

It is a wonderful small hotel not far from the sea. Beautiful interior, clean rooms, and what is the most important, very nice hosts. The breakfast is very tasty, and one can spend the evenings in the hotel's bar/restaurant enjoying tapas, paellas and drinks. The hosts can inform you about the possible activities and interesting places to visit in the area. I am already looking forward to visit this place again.

I liked everything, but the place is not suitable for you if you want to come by car, live in a very large room, have many different facilities in the room and activities in the hotel, and so on. Also, there is a bar across the street that closes this year at 1 a.m., so there is a little noise when going to sleep but not during the night.

It is really cute (as seen on the pics) and central and close to the beach, the breakfast was nice. We could leave our stuff after checkout :)

I've got a story to tell about the rudeness of the owners, but first about the place itself. It's a cheap dump, if cheap is the right word here: the hotel is cheaper than many other options in Tossa, but is totally overpriced for what it offers. Hallways are narrow, walls are thin, rooms are small. There is no A/C and the cord from the ceiling fan just snapped when I tried to turn it on, it is unbearably hot in rooms in summer. Rooms are dirty, there's mold in the closet, everything is painted with cheap paint which just dissolves if you put something wet on the table. When we tried to clean the table, the napkin ended up all brown from dirt, disgusting. On top of that, there was no room cleaning provided during our stay. Toilet is old, shower drain is clogged, so the water overflows. Shower curtain has brown stains from god knows what. Old rusty english-style sink with separate hot and cold taps, but without the ability to close the drain. The owners... We came with a dog and paid a pet handling charge for that. We went out in the first evening and left the dog in the room as we didn't know yet whether dogs are allowed in restaurants. Some time after 1:00 AM I get a call, and some man , being quite rude, tells me that my dog has been barking for an hour and I have to come right away and do something as guests complain. I needed to finish the drinks and pay, so I told them that I could come in 15 minutes, but the man demanded that I come urgently. I told my wife what happened and she decided to run to the hotel. When she was opening the room door, the man confronted her in person and scared her greatly, as she didn't know that he works for the hotel (she only saw female stuff before), and thought that he must be some angry guest - he didn't introduce himself and was same rude, as on the phone. I approached the man the next morning, to tell him that the way he handled the situation was unacceptable.

no air conditioning with this heat is almost criminal ☹️ the fan was practically useless, it didn’t cool anything off. the wifi is really bad.

Right in the centre of Tossa, very easy access to the beach and most restaurants.

Where to start? The name. The “Hotel de Charme” is actually a hostel (there’s a sign outside if in doubt). No aircon? We were fine with it, as there was a ceiling fan. Which was useless (it was spinning so slowly we could barely feel any air) Location – we were, again, fine with the location and expected some hustle and bustle as it is right in the centre of town. However the heat in the room meant we had to sleep with the window open in hope for some air, which we barely got (as opposed to people shouting in the middle of the night, which we got A LOT of). Staff – some welcoming (sadly I don’t know their name), some more hostile. I was told off for arriving for breakfast 5 minutes too early and was sent to wait outside. (Again if in doubt, read their replies to some comments further down and see for yourself.)

The hotel is indeed charming and the owners are very friendly and helpful. The owner offered us a choice of rooms which was a nice touch. The overall atmosphere is lovely and the breakfast was excellent！

It was all fine. perhaps more plugs in our room would have been useful but we appreciate that may be difficult to do.

The only plus of this property is central location and friendly staff. Nothing more than this.

In a country/ place like this, air condition is a must (or at least a decent fan in the room). Room was extremely hot, and once windows opened, EXTREMLY noisy. Not possible to stay there in the Summer time.

The place is in the old town of tossa de mar! That's was a big plus for us!!

Problem about been in the centre its the noise from the street! Its something that the hotel cant control it! But for the rest it was amazing

the space was very tiny based on the original price for the room, the cleaning was disappointing

it has cozy restaurant, near to everywhere (close to the beach n located in the city center)

the room has a pretty old interior and small bathroom but i think it’s equal to the price you’re paying for

lack of cleanliness, no fan (only for decoration), it is impossible to sleep because of the noise (there is a club near) and the hot.

It was ok but too limited on choices. Fair enough.
