About this house rental
VRC16-000511 A Wright Place, located at 6803 Holmes Blvd., is a comfortable two bedroom, two bath duplex with poolside den which can easily serve as a third bedroom. It's exactly what you are looking for in a peaceful Anna Maria Island retreat. Located in a quiet, lakeside residential neighborhood, this unit features all the ingredients for a special getaway. Bring your fishing pole - maybe you'll catch a big one from the fresh water bayou. Shopping, restaurants and the library are close and convenient. The emerald water of the Gulf of Mexico is a short stroll down a side street. Washer and Dryer on site. There is a heated salt water pool surrounded by lush, island landscaping and even a wonderful nook perfect for reading or snoozing with a view of a natural bayou. After a day at the beach, BBQ in the evenings on the gas grill at poolside. This unit sleeps six with a king size bed, two twin beds, and a sofa bed in the lower level, poolside den. There is a 40" television in the living room with a DVD player. There is a 24" television in one of the bedrooms. Free Wifi is provided. The Wright Place is a one week minimum rental. Our rentals will generally run from Saturday to Saturday, especially during very busy months and over holidays. Rates do vary over throughout the year and are calculated at higher rates during our busiest months of March and July as well as the holiday weeks of Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas. One small pet is allowed with a $150.00 non-refundable pet fee. Parking is limited to two cars. The Wright Place is a one week minimum and 2 1/2 blocks to the beach. You are vacationing in a residential area. Please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property.

Peaceful, good location, nice pool, clean.The spiral steps, were difficult going down to the laundry and pool area.I would upgrade the mattresses in the twin bedroom. and I would also get more comfortable furniture for the living room. Overall, we had a very nice time the owners live next-door, same building. We had an event in the sink in the bathroom and they fixed it for us right away. And we loved the walk to the beach, that was our main attraction and our dog had a lovely stay as well. Anna Maria Island is a lovely place to visit and stay very peaceful and quiet and safe.

Since 2008 we spend twice a year our holiday on Anna Maria Island. We never had such a perfect holiday home. Freshley renovated, everything brandnew, tasteful decorated, well equipped kitchen, good working electrical items, warm and big pool, close to the beach, quiet and nice neighbourhood, etc. etc.

We've been renting the Wright Place since at least 2002, even refer to it as "our" Florida-Home ;-)Once we left passports and called the agency on our way to the airport. They came and brought our passports halfway to Tampa! I think that says it all. Best rental agency ever! Pros:*lots of pool/beach toys, wagon, beach chairs (this time we left 3 bodyboards for fellow guests)*beach towels, hairdryer*nice new well-equipped kitchen*laundry area with new washer/dryer*neighborhood quiet, residential*short walk to beach*owner on-site, super nice and helpfulCons:* saltwater pool (we liked the sweetwater much more)* thick foam pad on the bed made it way to soft* stairs to appartement and spiral stairs* we rented Sat to Sat but on Friday the pool was cleaned and we couldn't use it til night

The location was very close to the Gulf. Home was very clean and well furnished. The pool was heated and very refreshing. The palm trees around the pool have it that Caribbean feel. This place is highly recommended to stay at. Thanks for a great vacation place to stay.

Location is great. Pool is great. Need new beach chairs, one is broken. Couch felt like it had sand all over it. Kitchen is nice and well stocked. Overall a nice place to stay. I would probably stay here again.

We had a great week, good location . Close to the beach and shopping. Great back yard with awesome pool . Big heated pool , deep end over 6 feet deep surrounded by the beautiful garden.

This unit was well equipped, excellent location and beautiful kitchen. Two blocks from beach, a park and pickle ball, tennis court, skateboard park and dog park near by. I would stay here again for sure. AMI has so much to do and see - it’s hard to get it all in while on vacation!

The final payment and check in process were cumbersome - I had to mail a check to the management company instead of just charging the original payment method for the deposit and I did not receive the email with the app information to access the check in instructions.
This was a great house for our needs and was clean and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed having the beach wagon, chairs and toys. The heated pool was clean and a good size. The only real negative was that the house has a very small hot water tank. While there are two full bathrooms, there is not enough hot water for both showers to run at the same time. We would definitely stay here again.

We had such a fantastic stay at A Wright Place. The owners live right next next door and were very polite and introduces themselves the day we checked it. The pool is nice and big and very private. The walk to the beach is under 5 minutes. We have stayed at several AMI properties and this was the cleanest by far. It is also very roomy. The den beside the pool is such a nice feature. The laundry room was nice and large. We would definitely stay again.

This was our first time staying in Anna Maria Island. Absolutely loved this Vrbo rental.
Pros: amazing private pool. Very close to the beach (1 block) and quiet neighborhood.
Cons: spiral staircase might be challenging for those with mobility issues.
Overall, a terrific rental. Would definitely recommend

Great location only 2 blocks and a 5 min walk from the beach, with a wonderful salt water pool! We cooked quite a bit for ourselves, and had everything we needed (as far as utensils/cookware) in the kitchen. The property is an older property, but was very comfortable and close to all the Anna Maria hot spots. Great stay, friendly owners!

Towels were worn and not great quality..sheets were a little worn also. But overall we loved our stay and enjoyed the pool that was private and peaceful. We left an innertube to float in pool...pool toys need to be replaced.

The private pool and surrounding garden are the real draw for this rental. There is a full flight of stairs to get to the apartment. This may be challenging for well as the interior spiral staircase to the laundry facilities and the pool area. The furniture and decor are old and outdated. There is a strong musty smell in the lower level probably due to the old couch and chair and ventless laundry room. I would not want to sleep downstairs on the queen size bed in the couch.
That all said, I am returning to the Wright Place again next season but for a shorter stay. Location, price, private pool, and friendliness of owners (who live in other half of house) are all positive aspects of this rental. Only wish the interior would be updated. Beds are comfortable. Linens have seen lots of wear.
