Kapaa Shore Resort is in a very good location to see the whole island of Kauai. It is close to supermarkets, modest restaurants, and fast food chains. Very clean complex. Easy to visit the North of Kauai as well as the South. Do not expect high end restaurants in Kapaa. There aren't any. The Indian restaurant across the street offers very good food. Expect high prices for everything. The apartment is very clean, has whatever one needs as far as utensils are concerned, and beach towels and chairs. Comfortable bed. Beautiful view. There is a portable air condition in the living room, with no central air condition. This was not an issue in December when I was there, but I imagine it would be a problem in the bedroom during summer. I needed no assistance during my stay since I faced no problems in the condo. This was my second stay in the complex, I will do it again and I recommend it to all.

The King bed was very uncomfortable; & hard for a senior to get in & out of the bed.

This property is convenient to airport, well managed, nice pool and hot tub. Balcony view was amazing! Would have liked a bit more “walkable “ beach, but there are some close to resort. Great vacation!

This unit is privately owned. Very clean and updated inside. Gorgeous Oceanfront view. Beach is not swimmable. However, on of our favorite beaches on the island is 10 miles down the street Kealia Beach. Condo has everything you need, even beach chairs, umbrella and a little soft cooler. The king size bed was hands down the more comfortable bed I have slept on outside of my own room. So soft. The water is perfect. No need for bottled water. Pool and hot tub were nice to relax in at night.

Upon arrival, hot water was not on, and cable TV didn't work. Had to have maintenance turn water heater on and had Spectrum cable for 2 hours to fix TV connection.

Kapaa Shore is a nice place to stay on Kauai. Good location in terms of touring the island. We stayed for four nights and had a great time. The condo itself was clean, well stocked and had a great view of the ocean from the lanai. Good size for two people. We knew ahead of time this condo did not have A/C, so it was not as comfortable sleeping for us as we are used to, although with the breeze, it was not too bad. Without A/C you have your windows opened, so random noise does affect your sleep - people talking, road noise, roosters crowing. Grounds were well kept and nice park like setting along ocean. No swimming beach here, just rocks, but great to look at. Parking for our unit was somewhat far away, so carrying luggage/groceries/beach gear was sometimes a chore. Also, beach chairs were stored underneath the bed, which we found on our last morning as we were checking to see if anything fell on the floor in the bedroom. There should have been a notice about this storage. Overall a good stay on a beautiful island.

The location is perfect. Centrally located. The rooms were well decorated, supplied and very comfortable. We felt right at home. But the BEST part was the VIEW of the Sunrises, the Moonrises, the Mid day Sunshine!!! Mary and I spent HOURS every day sitting on our Balcony talking about our Past, Present, and Future...looking out at the most Spectacular view. Beautiful. On top of that was the Concierge. SONJA KEALA. She is AWESOME. She arranged our Dinner reservations, our Luaus, our Day trips, Shopping information, Travel time expectations!!! SONJA KEALA is so good at her job. Very Professional. We can't thank her enough. Garden island Properties is the Best. Period. We'll be back.

We loved it! The photo from balcony is pretty accurate. Great view of ocean and sunrise. Kitchen is pretty and well stocked. We lacked for nothing.Perfect size for two. Sand chairs and coolers were useful for nearby beaches. There is no sand beach on property. No A/C but didn't need it. Open front and back doors for tremendous cooling cross breeze and provided fans also help.A shame you can't smoke outside on balcony. The designated area is small and a little walk from apt. but puts you under the stars and at ocean's edge, so not the worst. Make sure you have quarters for laundry. No detergent on site but ABC store sells single use. Xlnt location. Close to food shopping. Great restaurants close by. Check out Sammy's and Cafe Hemingway, plus taproom across street. Bike rental and start of shoreline path are next door to condo, so walking distance. Great time here!

The cleanliness of the condo was outstanding. Beautiful sunrises were seen from the lanai. The bed was big and comfortable with wonderful pillows. It was close to stores and restaurants. We could easily travel north or south to reach beaches and hiking areas.

View was very nice - we watched the sunrise almost every morning! Bed was extremely comfortable. Condo was decorated nicely and we had everything we needed. Close to the health food store, fish market, grocery stores and excellent restaurants. Located in the middle of the island so less drive time to destinations on the north and shore shore.

Location was nice - we watched the sunrise almost every morning from our deck. It was nice to hear the ocean waves from the living room. Bed was extremely comfortable! Decor was nice and we had everything we needed. Close to health food store, grocery stores, fish market, and restaurants. Located between south shore and north shore so shorter drive to either from this location.

Anniversary Getaway
My husband and I loved the location of this rental. It has the most beautiful view of the ocean and you can hear the waves crashing which is amazing. The room itself was well equipped and had all the essentials that we needed for our stay. We had no issue with no AC because as long as you leave the patio door open and the front door with the screen door closed, the breeze feels amazing which we actually much more prefer. Overall had a great experience and would definitely come back to stay here again.

Our second stay at Kapaa Shore was wonderful. The condo was well furnished and equipped and the bed very comfy. Unit 207 is in the perfect location in the complex and for convenience to all Kapaa and other island locations. We will return there no questions. One must remember that very little assistance is granted the renters who go through VRBO from the office, but that was OK.

It was ok, and it was pretty cheap. Great view, decent location in Kapa’a. Unit is dated and could also use a good cleaning. No a/c, but that’s on me for not looking close enough. So hot, we had to sleep in living room pull out to get a breeze as the bedroom windows are located by the outside walkway to the other units. Front desk people were pretty surly and unhelpful. Would not rent this unit again.

We keep coming back for an oceanfront condo at a reasonable price. Location is convenient for trips to the north and south shores. Excellent views of sunrises. Pool and hot tub great for relaxing after snorkeling or hiking. Staff friendly.

I thought the walk from parking lot to room was a bit far and should be noted in the description. I would stay again only on the ground floor. The stairway was uncomfortable. The smoking area was positioned pretty far away and homeless people were down in front.
