Located in Andover, this charming house for £315 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. WE GOT THE SNOW! Perfectly situated between Stratton (15mi), Okemo (15mi), Bromley (12mi) and Magic Mountain (2mi) resorts, The Octagon at Powder Mill is a perfect getaway for skiers and adventurers looking for winter outdoor activities, antique shopping, site-seeing and fine dining. Large open spaces & 5 bedrooms make it perfect for multiple groups/families. Cathedral high windows will make you feel immersed in the outdoors while inside. Locally known as The Octagon because of its various window faces and architecturally unique elements, our two- acre hillside haven is one-of-a kind. As you enter, you will be enveloped by pines, birch trees, and moss covered boulder facades, bordered by a pond and seasonal stream. The hillside forest ecosystem can be seen from various heights and perspectives from within the two sprawling light-drenched levels of the house itself. The main floor of the top level of the house has one main bedroom with bathroom ensuite, second bedroom with bunks, a fully-equipped chef’s dream kitchen with generous slate countertops, custom cabinets , multiple bar spaces, and updated appliances, and adjoining open-floor dining room with fireplace and living room for entertaining off the kitchen. Also on the main floor, next to the dining room, is a convenient deck for barbecuing featuring tree top and mountain views. On the upstairs balcony, is a reading nook with desk and pull out futon, next to the enclosed master king sized bedroom, perched alongside an old fir, giving you the impression of sleeping in a tree house. The lower level of the house is nicely separated for large groups to enjoy. Off the balcony stairs is a pod suite and walk in shower. All bathrooms feature radiant heat with slate floors. On the ground floor is the Octagon's Great Room with 30' high ceilings, exposed wooden beams, wet bar, foosball table, massive fireplace, large sectional sofa, and fiber optic TV. The Great Room allows easy access to an additional deck and the backyard with fire pit and seasonal brook. Off the Great Room are two other bedrooms, including the master "guest suite" with its own fireplace, porch and private entrance. A stay at The Octagon is a truly magical experience. We look forward to hosting you and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. You'll have access to the whole house, except for the loft area not described in the space. We are available by cell during your stay and we also have a local caretaker that can be contacted. Other things to note The house is family friendly but isn't fully kid/baby proof. Portable crib and high chair are available upon request. The house while secluded, is easily accessible from Route 11 and is sited on well a plowed road/driveway with shoveled entryway.

Beautiful house with a nice neighborhood. The house itself was very clean, well kept and comfortable and had everything we needed. It has a well equipped kitchen for cooking meals. The large kitchen table was perfect for playing games or eating. The home was a vacation itself, it had foosball and other games, a nice and comfortable decks to sit outside. We all really enjoyed our stay! Great Stay!

Just what we needed!

Just what we needed!

This place hosted our 7 adults, 2 kids (7 and 9) and infant perfectly. Everyone had their space, and if anything, this house was TOO big for us. Hiking from the house, well equipped for everything the kitchen needs, GREAT beds, and nearby Lake Lowell. Perfect! Will say, this place does not have AC so if you’re seeking an extra cool place, it can get warm thanks to all the lovely large windows.

If you’re looking to ski southern Vermont with a bigger group, this is a great place to stay. The house accommodated our group of 10 extremely well, it was very spacious and never felt crowded. It is an easy drive from pretty much any southern Vermont mountain you’d want to go to, and priced way more reasonably than any on-mountain condos. The hosts were extremely communicative, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Had a wonderful time for Thanksgiving with our parents, sister and her family including 3 boys 6-12. Really great place to relax and to go on hikes in the mountains. Had beautiful views and the hosts were super friendly and helpful. Kitchen tools were well stocked which was much appreciated. Thanks so much!

We rented this property for the winter season and it was fantastic. The house is even grander and cooler than in the pictures, well built so you don't hear people in different parts of the house, and the kitchen/dining/living room area upstairs is a perfect hang out place for a bunch of people. We didn't really use the downstairs as much but it is also a great space. Fireplaces were huge and awesome, everything you need in the kitchen. Really just a spectacular place.

This is a lovely, airy, spacious house perfect for multi-generations. It has three large communal spaces so adults and kids can have their own spots, with their own levels of noise. Each room is comfortable with beautiful views and the kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and sharing meals. The owners are quick to respond and attentive. We have enjoyed both of our stays here and would happily return!

Hi everyone! We recently had a guys snowboarding trip in Vermont and had the pleasure of staying at Bermet and Daniel's lovely Home. We were very pleased with the open space we were greeted with just beyond the convenient and heated mudroom. There was plenty of space to entertain ten of us as we gathered for dinner or some multi tv LAN games. We got to be kids for a weekend and it was great. Other than a day of snowboarding, we spent all our time at the house. The guys couldn't get enough of the radiant floor heats in the bathrooms. We made full use of the kitchen preparing and cooking our meals. The fireplace was nice to sit by at night. The rooms were nicely separated without feeling confined thanks to the high ceilings and big windows. We found the lighting was quite entertaining for us with all the switches and knobs all over. I enjoyed watching everyone fail to find the light they wanted.... even though they were labeled lol. There were a few hiccups we ran into along the way but it didn't stop us from enjoying our time spent in such a beautiful place. We are very happy for booking our stay at The Octagon! Thank you for having us!

This house is really special with a clean & open design that lets the lovely VT landscape shine. The house was clean and furnished with everything we needed for our holiday including a well appointed kitchen and plenty of comfortable beds. Bermet was so easy to work with and answered all my pre and post arrival questions quickly and without complaint. Our family, all three generations, found plenty of places to gather as well as space for some quiet time. We loved it and hope to return!
