The good: The house is as advertised, nice with all of the amenities including washer and dryer. The smart TV worked great. We were able to log into our Amazon account and watch our content without any problems. The location is about as good as it gets for Hattiesburg, just more than a block south of Hardy St in midtown nestled in a quiet neighborhood.
The bad: The communication was lacking and when there was communication it was dismissive in nature. The lock box was a real pain to operate and should be changed to something that actually works, especially since the property manager was unresponsive when attempting to access the home. The dead bolt doesn’t engage on a door with small glass panes which is a security concern in unfamiliar surroundings.

If you and some friends are looking to stay in the heart of Midtown Hattiesburg and near Southern Miss University then this is a great spot.
It's only a few blocks off Hardy St. and set in a charming older neighborhood which was a short drive/walking distance from a slew of great local restaurants and shopping.
The cottage was very clean and looked to be recently updated with stylishly appliances and furniture. Our group's favorite place to hang out was the cozy backyard brick patio.
The only thing to be aware of is, although there are two full baths, only the master has a shower. The guest bath is tub only. Also there were only four towels so if you have a larger group you might want to bring some extra towels and wash clothes.
Other than that, our group loved the place and will try and book again next time we're in The Hub City.

Horrible Experience: Major Roach Infestation
We rented this for Thanksgiving to visit our military stationed in the area. After first having issues contacting the owner to get the check in information and finally getting access, the home appeared to be nice, even if not clean. The kitchen had cobwebs and it was pretty dusty, but we finally made it, figured it was bad housekeeping and we would clean what we thought to a minor issue. Then the roaches started coming out of the woodwork. Literally. Apparently the nice looking wood beams that is a nest for huge roaches. After killing at least 8 to 9 in a matter of 20 minutes we called the owner to let them know we couldn't stay. At the owner's request we provided the pictures of the issues and the owner was at first apologetic and not only promised a 100% refund, they also offered 50% off of our next visit at another property they owned in the area. Hard pass.
After a month of going back and forth and only a partial refund the owner has stopped responding to my texts as well as to VRBO. All of this is documented however the owner is not honoring their word.
DO NOT STAY HERE OR ANY PROPERTY WITH THIS OWNER.

Remodeled and beautiful. The house was perfect for the 4 of us. Neighborhood was great. My only issue was no blinds in the master. I think they may still be working on the last touches and that may be one of them. Slept great in spite of that. We would definitely stay again.

We had an amazing time here on our long weekend get away! The house and property are newly remodeled and rustically charming. The spacious rooms and backyard provided great hang out spaces for us and the kids. Randa was really great- on top of communication and happy to provide neighborhood recommendations! The neighborhood is safe and quiet- perfect for a family. We would definitely stay again!
