Part of me doesn't want to give this property a big wrap because I don' t want it to be too popular but I have to be fair I loved this house, the location, the amenities we had the best time. Superb.

We enjoyed our stay very much it was a good experience of the early days and the antiques shown in the display cabinets the fire place and photos. The house was clean and the chapel was a lovely surprise. It was central to the shops and all the attractions it was great thank you.

I have sent photos and emailed a letter to the agent with my experience of this rental. I rented this property for one week. Nothing was cleaned or touched. Looks online like a beautiful old home which has original old church in the backyard converted to use as accommodation. Full of history and very much like a property I had owned years ago so this appealed to me. It is very close to river, cafes has a BBQ. Dog friendly with fences surrounding property, no wire/covering under house so dogs or children could easily go underneath. Sits on main road with cars so a bit of noise. The house was not cleaned when we picked up the keys and it was filthy. The home deserves better than the current care it gets. We called and told agent, sent the cleaner who made up a bed that had been slept in bed without removing sheets. Then the floorboards copped a battering with a roller style vacuum cleaner. I contacted the agents again they sent her out again the next day mid morning. She scrubbed the toilets and I had to ask for toilet paper as there was none in the house. Lucky we carry some. The kitchen is full of personal groceries and items so no place to put our food or utensils. Rooms had body odour with extremely smelly cushions on leather lounge. There are no screens on the windows so unable to open up house. Chicken coop next door and the manure leaks into the our backyard as there was rain about and continued to have light rain. My dogs were covered in manure within minutes of arrival. The large old cotton mop supplied was dirty and not been used for some time. There was no suitable roller bucket for us to clean up. The broom was full of hair. We cleaned up after the cleaner and swept out floors and purchased a mop so we could walk around on floor. Grass is cut without catcher so as we had wet weather it was impossible to keep grass out thanks to the clumps all over the yard. I also found used condoms near the church in the yard. All the beds have soft mattresses and need an update. Food was left in fridge and freezer with grease and stains inside and out including long hairs. We also enjoyed a lovely party listening to noisy music from 12 am to 4.30am from across the road. Unfortunately the local police station closes and no one is on duty during the evenings and was not open so I called the assistance line. Bring your own linen, garbage bags, tea towels, spray and wipe, toilet paper, mop and broom. To keep clean as none is supplied.
