We enjoy our stay there. Property is located in a beautiful community. Everything was great. The host are great, they were very helpful and responded very quickly. Thank you for everything .

We had our friends reunion and house slept everyone. Only problem was the TV and internet. Would go in and out a lot. Other then that I thought the place was good for our group.

What I like about this house is its many spacious rooms, open layout in the kitchen, dining, and family room. We liked staying in the basement as well with its ping pong table and billiards table. Bathroom amenities could be improved. We had to look for the towels because they’re not ready in the bathroom. The wifi is very slow, we cannot stream in the tv. Overall a pleasant stay.

House was great for our needs. Lots of beds available for family of 15. House could be a little cleaner and some minor repairs are needed. Also needs central air conditioning.

Everything in the kitchen worked great and we had some great meals. Plenty of fridge space (love the second full fridge downstairs.). If going, be sure to bring a firestick as there is no cable but we did some streaming (with some buffering). Hot tub was great and plenty of area inside and out.

The pictures lead you to believe the house is clean and relatively updated but upon arrival it is clear that is not the case. The home was not cleaned well. The carpets are horrifically stained and desperately need to be shampooed or replaced. The kitchen had cockroach traps everywhere and we were greeted by one coming out of one of the drawers in the center island of the kitchen. I was ready to leave in that moment but for some reason we stuck it out. The internet connectivity was atrocious. There was no cable tv, so we brought a streaming device to watch movies, as there was rain every day and no snow. We couldn’t get through a single movie or show without constant buffering. It was miserable. We paid quite a bit to stay at this property. It wasn’t worth it and I would not recommend it in the future. Some serious deep cleaning and replacements need to happen. Some high school buddies and I all got together for a long weekend and had an absolute blast. The house was perfect and the location was even better. Perfect for a larger group who likes to golf.

We had a group of 11. This house was very good. There are only 9 beds, had to call owner and he immediately told me where to find other mattresses. Excellent communication. House has some wear and tear but overall was a pleasant stay. Grill and stove were only other issues. The grill would only get to 200 degrees. The oven probably needs a deep clean. So we had to order out and bring food home.

Check in was delayed for a short time, however home owner did extend check out time for the inconvenience. Which was appreciated. House was big enough to accommodate our family of 14 nicely. Hot tub was a hit! Pool table & sticks could use some TLC as the tips were worn down and there was a rip in the felt. Ping pong table also needs some TLC as net would not stay up. However it didnt stop the adult kids from playing a few games. The only thing that was disappointing was the walls were not done being painted. Which didn't make for good pictures at times.. but overall it did not deter us from enjoying our trip and spending time with our family. It is obvious that the homeowner is in the process of doing updates in the house. The house is definitely good for big familys. We would use again once updates have been completed. I do believe other renters / reviewers concerns have been addressed as we did not have any problems regarding previous reviews and concerns from past renters. Homeowner was easy to communicate with and responded quickly & addressed any concerns in a timely manner.

Our experience was rocky from the time we arrived. We got there at check in to find the house cleaner locked out and unable to get in touch with the homeowner. Thankfully when contacting vrbo the customer service agent was able to contact someone in a reasonable amount of time, but this lead us to find out there was something malfunctioning with the lock on the front door. The house cleaner was a delight and did her best to make this experience good for us.When we got in the place was in rough shape, the previous renters had trashed the space, including finding what we believe we're bbs from a bb gun in the living room and on the deck, what looked like 3 actual bullets, only one looked like it had been discharged, and several pieces of paper with racial slurs on them, including the N* word. Where as this did not affect our rating, I wanted to note this as it did disrupt our stay and cause distress in my family.The house itself needs some love. There are places where there are patched up holes in the walls that have not been painted, the kitchen was not stocked well, and over half the pots and pans had significant damage. Our favorite was a sauce pan that had a dent in it that took up over half the pan. The stove did not light on its own and we needed a lighter, which was not provided for us. If you intend to use this kitchen for anything more than the oven I suggest bringing your own everything. I am also used to a rental having basic things like salt, pepper, oil, ect, most of which were not usable. There were no hand towel supplied in the kitchen nor bathroom. The wall are paper thin, and you can hear every sound from the entire house in every room. For some of our light sleepers this was difficult. The upstairs room with the 4 beds are not a standard queen size as advertised, they do have a trundle attachment if you need 2 people to a bed. This room also does not have a door, and is very loud. The property advertised a 10 minute walk to the lake, and where as that is true, it takes you only to private property and you can not get near the water. According to the neighbors the only place we could use publicly was on the other side of the lake, about 40 more minutes walking. This could be a 5 star house with a little attention put into the home

The location was excellent and we enjoyed being at the Split Rock Resort. The owner, cleaning lady and maintenance man were friendly. This house was once a dream home but maintenance issues and poor internet connections detracted from our stay.
