The Bastion Apartment is situated in the heart of the Beautiful Old Town of Menton. It is located on the 4th floor of an ancient building (no elevator) and has a breathtaking roof top terrace of 15 square meters from which you can admire 360' views from Italy to Cap Martin, and from the Alps Maritime to the beautiful Mediterranean. The apartment has just been completely renovated to high standards, in a Scandinavian white modern style still treasuring all the beautiful details of the Old Town architecture. On the first floors there are 3 bedrooms with air conditioning in every room, an ensuite bathroom in the master bedroom and a big bathroom with wash-dryer machine. On the second and top floor we have created a nice open kitchen fully equipped (dish washer, induction hob, fridge, small freezer, Nespresso machine) with a social area including sofa (convertible and can offer two more bed spaces), indoor dining table with 6 seats, TV and high speed wifi, and access to the roof top terrace that is absolutely unique in its size and location. On the rooftop terrace you can sit at least 10 people. You will see everything from Italy, Menton Old town, the mediterranean sea and Cap Martin. Here you will spend many nice sunsets sipping rosé overlooking the sea... Around the corner from the apartment you find the fresh food market of Menton. It is open every morning until 13:00. Here you can buy everything fresh from vegetables grown in the region to fish, all sorts of hams and cheeses, fruits etc. You also have lots of nice restaurants around the Old Town. Menton Garavan's long sandy beaches begin 100m away from the apartment. Here you have both public and private beaches and many nice beach restaurants. There is a beautiful promenade alongside the coast of Menton. You can walk all the way to Italy and Monaco - we strongly recommend this as it is a very pretty walk. **PLEASE NOTE**: The property is situated in the Medieval village of Menton, it is on the 4th floor of a building without lift, and with 54 narrow stairs. It is not suitable for anybody with mobility issues and not suitable for people with infants.

We are one month into our European trip and have stayed at 10 different places so far but this has been the best by far .Yes it has 54 steps to get to the rooms and I have a broken foot so it wasn't easy but it was worth it .Lovely rooms - loads of space, well equipped kitchen and laundry and comfy beds .Then there was the outside terrace with views to die for.We stayed 6 nights and didn't want to leave .Menton is wonderful and this place is well situated between 2 great beaches .Loved it

A beautiful property with amazing views. 5 minutes walk from the beach. Lots of lovely places to eat nearby. La Navette bus to and from Nice train station. The steps up are a killer but totally worth it for the amazing views from the terrace. Sipping wine, watching the sun set over the harbour and listening to the church bells chime. Book it...you won't be disappointed.

Highly recommended for location, parking and views! NOTE: 52 steps, 5th floor, very steep and high steps!! Not ideal for everyone! But once you get there, it is stunning!
Well appointed BUT, Bathrooms were not very clean (sinks, showers need major bleaching!) and I am not a “clean freak”!

Vackert och praktiskt boende för större sällskap. Modernt och funktionellt. Dubbla badrum ger möjlighet för att vara många på samma plats. Takterrassen förlänger dagen i båda ändar med svårslagen vy över hav och land. Trapporna upp till lägenheten kräver dock friska och starka ben.

We had a most fantastic stay in this wonderful apt. The apt was everything we had hoped for: the view was fantastic, it was very clean, nice bedrooms with good linen and soft, comfortable towels. Rosy, the caretaker, was very sweet and we were well taken care of on arrival. I wholeheartedly recommend this apt for up to 6 people.

Idéal !
Appartement tout à fait conforme à l’annonce, agréable et bien équipé. Emplacement parfait pour profiter de la ville à pied et notamment l’accès tout proche à la mer. Magnifique terrasse avec superbe vue mer idéale pour profiter jusqu’au derniers moments de la journée.

Great location & roof terrace
Menton is beautiful, the property is in a great location (local market nearby, restaurants & the beach on your doorstep), & the roof terrace provides you with fantastic views, plus it’s reasonably equipped.
The lady that welcomed us upon arrival was also extremely helpful during our stay.
There’s 4 areas that need improvement. 1. The cleanliness of the property, all of the floors especially along the edges & corners need a good clean, a lot dust & other people’s hairs were present.
2. There’s no wardrobes, the property would benefit from some high hanging space for longer garments. There’s certainly room for some wardrobes in the main bedroom & smaller double.
3. The hall was dark at night as no lights were working in it, we had to use our phone torches up & down the stairs to ensure it was safe.
4. There is no welcome book. We had to rely on the local host for some local information.

Super appartement avec la plus belle vue sur menton grâce à sa terrasse
Notre séjour s’est super bien passé, nous avons bien été accueillis par rosa qui nous a facilité notre arrivée. L’appartement est spacieux, propre, et vraiment bien placé, la terrasse est LE point positif de celui-ci. Nous avons noté un seul bémol qui est celui de la vaisselle (pas assez conséquente pour 8 selon nous) ainsi que les ustensiles de cuisines qui manquent parfois.
Menton est une très belle ville mais peut être que pour des jeunes voulant profiter des nuits d’été ce n’est pas aussi bien approprié.

Schöner Urlaub zum Jahreswechsel.
Sehr schön aufgeteilte Wohnung zauberhafter Dachterrasse mit Rundum-Blick über Menton.
Die Lage ist traumhaft und zentral. Mit wenigen Schritten ist man am Strand bzw. in den kleinen Gässchen der Altstadt. Markthalle und kleiner Supermarkt ums Eck und täglich geöffnet. Kleiner Weihnachtsmarkt bis zum 05.01. Ebenso eine Eisbahn. Auch sehr viele Möglichkeiten für Kinder. Da wird der Urlaub nicht langweilig. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Taraum Urlaub
Bis auf den wirklich steilen Treppenaufgang keinerlei Beanstandungen. Waren dort mit 5 Erwachsenen und Hund. Einmalige Aussicht von der Dachterasse. Tolle Restaurants und Bars um die Ecke. Zum Stand keine 5 Minuten. Einfach toll :)

Enkelt innredet leilighet
Leiligheten er svært enkelt innredet når det gjelder møbler. Stoler av enkleste sort, ingen er gode å sitte i. Litt lite kjøkkenutstyr. Vi har vært der to ganger og kjøpt funksjonelle glass hver gang. Ikke kaffetrakter. Ødelagt vinåpner. Ingen serveringsfat.
Vaskene på det stor badet blir lett stygge. En plate som ligger i dem er svært upraktisk. Avrenning i dusj på lite bad delvis problematisk.
Når dette er sagt, har leiligheten en super beliggenhet og en super terrasse. Vi liker oss svært godt i området og i huset. Soverommene er fine og romslige. Badene fine. Vaskemaskin som fungerer godt. Tørkesnorer. Kjøleskapet noe lite, men fungerer godt.
Vi kan godt tenke oss å leie igjen, viktig at ting blir vedlikeholdt godt.
For folk som er lite glad i trapper, vil vi ikke anbefale denne leiligheten.

Idéalement situé !
Appartement conforme à l'annonce avec une très belle vue panoramique. Nombreuses activités à réaliser aux alentours.
A noter cependant un manuel d'informations uniquement en anglais ( on n'est pas tous bilingues hélas) et quelques carences dans le petit matériel de cuisine : absence d'une cafetière "familiale", absence de micro ondes et pas de barbecue...

heerlijk appartement op perfecte locatie
Heerlijk appartement met fenomenaal dakterras. Traplopen gaat steeds makkelijker na een paar dagen. Abonnement voor de parkeergarage (50 meter) erbij huren is aanrader, want op straat parkeren is lastig.

Fantastic apartment best possible location
This is a fantastic apartment. Very well equipped kitchen very good beds. The roof terrace is truly amazing. The location is perfect. Just walk down the stairs to get to the walking street with many excellent restaurants and the beach just 150 m away.
We really enjoyed our stay and want to go back again. We absolutely recommend This apartment.

Super place in a perfect location
We were very happy with our stay in this really comfortable, clean and beautifully renovated appartment. Excellent value and perfect location close to everything with free parking in a secure garage just close by. The roof terrass being the extra bonus with a breathtaking view. Fantastic apartment in the old town with a rooftop terrace and expansive views over Menton.
Recently renovated apartment with a well equipped kitchen. Numerous restaurants nearby as well as boulangeries. There is a small supermarket nearby and a larger one not too far away. We would definitely stay here again.

Magnifique appartement!

Un bel endroit !
Magnifique appartement avec un beau point de vue totalement conforme a la présentation du site. Les lieux sont bien équipés et les propriétaires très réactifs. En plus avec l'appartement est prévu un badge d'accès au parking public situé a 50 m de la location. Très pratique et commode car les places sont rares dans le vieux Menton!
Le seul très petit bémol c'est que l'accès à l'appartement se fait par des escaliers très raides...ce qui peut aussi faire le charme de cet appartement!

Une très belle vue de la terrasse et la ville de menton est bien une perle.
Pas de tv dans les chambres comme indiqué et douche bouchée

I truly do not believe you can find better accommodations with location and view in mind in Menton!
I do not think you can find a better location in Menton. The apartment is completely refurbished and beautiful. The main attraction is the balcony. We could sit on that balcony for hours with views of the sea and Menton and be completely content. We will be back for sure. Having parking arranged and handled is very helpful as well.
