"The Woodland Escape" sits completely secluded on 3 private acres of quintessential Colorado land, but is less than 2 minutes away from town, offering you the best of both worlds. If renting during the winter months you will need 4X4 drive to make it up the main road and driveway entrance! This home offers 6 bedrooms, and 4.5 baths. One room/bath combo sits in a private apartment over the second garage, just steps away from the main house. (More detailed bedroom layout below) This location offers many activities to keep you busy all week long! Hang out inside in the media room where you can play a round of air hockey, foosball, or lounge back on the giant sofa and catch a flick on the 110" projector screen! Or, head into town to one of the MANY activities the area has to offer; take the kids to the dinosaur museum or the north pole, go for a private walk with a wolf, or head to the major attractions all within 30 minutes or less (Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs Cliff Dwellings, Cave of the Winds, and more!) Grab a cup of coffee from the coffee station, and enjoy the warm Colorado sun on one of the many patios, and you might just see some wildlife. Animals that frequent the area are deer, elk, fox, wild turkeys, and the neighbor's friendly dog, Rocky. BACK"YARD" The back of the house offers 2 fire pits, one in ground wood, surrounded by benches, and one gas, which sits in a table for gathering and eating. Unwind in the hot tub, maintained and cleaned between every visit to ensure top notch sanitation. ROOM LAYOUT ~ The Master bedroom is on the main level of the big house, and features a King Size bed, private bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and shower with 3 shower heads. This room also has a television, loveseat, and private access to the back patio, just steps away from the hot tub. The mattress is made of memory foam and a dream to sleep on. Firmness level, 6/10. Upstairs in the main house has 3 bedrooms ~ The first room is a queen room, with what we think are the best views in the house. With its country chic decor, you can unwind and take in the breathtaking views. This room has door access to the next room to be privatized, or works great for a family who needs two separate beds. The mattress is a memory foam/ spring hybrid and offers pristine comfort. Firmness level 6/10 ~ This connecting room features a queen bed, gorgeous views, and a fireplace! Connecting to the library, you're sure to enjoy! The mattress is the ever popular Tuft & Needle, firmness level 7/10. ~ The bunk room was designed to be a blast for kids, but comfortable for adults. It features 3 twin size bunks, and a queen size futon. The clubhouse style bed, television, and USB wall inputs will provide a place for the kids to play and want to stay, leaving the relaxing to the adults! ~ The bottom level bedroom offers 8 foot ceilings, a queen bed, and semi-private bath. This bedroom is ideal for those who don't do as well with stairs, as it requires no stair to get to, and is on the same level as the media room, which is where a lot of gathering is sure to happen. The mattress is also a Tuft & Needle, firmness level 7/10. ~ Last but not least is the private apartment over the detached garage. This room has a queen bed, private bath, lounger, and private coffee station and outdoor seating. Sit on the deck and take in a breath of that fresh mountain air! ~ We also have two queen size , top quality air mattresses, with full bedding. The media room couch can also easily sleep 2-4 adults or as many kids that want to pile on! Had our family Christmas at the house. It was better than the pictures. The kitchen was fabulous. The feel of the entire property was homey and comfortable.

The property was awesome and the kids loved sledding down the hill in the snow. The property managers are awesome and they thought of every convenience that we might have missed, not all do this and we really appreciated it. The house is in a private area but so close to everything. We will definitely consider this house again if we are in the area.

This property was great. It feels like it is completely secluded, yet it is minutes from downtown Woodland Park. Our whole entourage of 8 adults and 4 teenagers were able to enjoy the property. It allowed for quality time together as well as areas for people to seclude from others if necessary. Would definitely consider this property again if we vacation to the area again.

Our family of 17, ages 2-85, recently stayed at the Woodland Escape for a surprise birthday weekend for my husband. The property was absolutely fabulous from top to botttom!! There was enough space for everyone to enjoy each other’s company as well as have space for quiet time if needed. The home was extremely well equipped with everything anyone in our group needed…you really have thought of everything!

We booked by only seeing the pictures. When we got there, the pictures didn't do it justice. The property was absolutely breathtaking. The beds were easily among the most comfortable we have slept on. It was an amazing experience for my new wife and our family.
My only complaint isn't even about the house. The road name and what the sign on the road say are different. Google Maps still got us there without issue. The road is dirt and has several spots that make cars risky due to washout. With SUVs/trucks, it's no issue. Just something to keep in mind when you absolutely book this property.

My husband and I hosted our small wedding at this property. The house was plenty big enough for 16 of us overnight and 35 total wedding attendees. The home was clean and well kept with so many thoughtful additions throughout. The host was responsive throughout our booking process and even checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.
Beautiful home, breathtaking views, and so much fun to be had in the area. I hope we're able to stay again in the future for our anniversary!

We gather every other year for a family vacation with our kids & grandkids. There were 14 of us this year, ages 1, 4, 10, 15, 16 & adults. We LOVED our time at The Woodland Escape. The home is beautiful and the setting is picture-perfect! There was plenty of room for each family to have their space. The kitchen is fully stocked and we enjoyed several meals cooking together. There were toys and movies for the kids. My personal favorite was coffee out on the deck, watching the sunrise on the mountains. We saw a buck and several squirrels out back. Nearby we found the North Pole, the Royal Gorge and Pikes Peak for several days of entertainment, and plenty of great places to eat. Any questions we had were promptly answered. I highly recommend this spot!

We had a fantastic time staying here. The place was super clean and very homey. Our entire family had room to stretch out and enjoy visiting with one another.
The kids had a great time playing Foosball and air hockey and climbing all over in the backyard.
We seen several deer including a mama and her two babies.

We stayed for a week for my in-laws 40th anniversary and had a wonderful time. 8 adults and 3 kids, and we always had plenty of space! The hot tub came in handy too. Beautiful home.

The property was really lovely. You feel completely in nature but only literal minutes from the nearest stores. Even though neighbors are close by, you would never know it while staying at the home. 18 in our group with children ranging in ages from 12 to 2. All kinds of things for the kids do to in our downtime while getting ready to go out on our next adventures of the day. Great place, great hosts.

Very clean. Accommodations as listed. We would add that the apartment above the garage would not be ideal for anyone with limited mobility. The hosts went above and beyond with any questions that we had! Excellent property and accommodations for our families. Excellent location.

We stayed at this beautiful property to celebrate our daughter’s wedding with a small ceremony in the backyard. The house is perfect for a group of family and friends with large spaces to gather, an ample and well-stocked kitchen, plenty of room to spread out, and a gorgeous location!
The property owners/managers were great to communicate with. They answered my questions promptly and were very helpful. Everyone in our family was delighted with the accommodations, especially the bride and groom!
This is one of the times I can truly say that the pictures don’t do this property justice. It’s charming and whimsical, while also being elegant and stunning. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The property was exactly as seen from photos. Very clean and attention to detail of items provided for a pleasant stay. Everything worked including hot tub, gas grill and gas outdoor table heater. Only one small problem when the downstairs bathroom bathtub faucet broke early on in our stay and was not able to get fixed so we were down 1 bathtub/shower. The host did try but we had a communication problem which he was profusely apologetic for. All in all a wonderful experience and all members of our group were very satisfied with the home.

We were able to stay at this gorgeous house to celebrate our son’s graduation from the US Air Force Academy. It had plenty of room for our family and extended family. The house was clean with all the needed amenities to make you feel at home. The outdoor living space was amazing as well! I can’t say enough good about this home and our contact! Thank you!!

I was extremely pleased with my stay! The property is a super beautiful outdoor space with anything that you might need already provided. The owners/managers were super helpful with providing additional information on air mattresses and they had a guidebook for any additional considerations that we needed during our stay. My favorite part about this property was the privacy - there was a ton of room for our group, but restaurants were still super close by and convenient.

My fiancé...now husband! Can't say enough good things about staying here. We had a very small intimate wedding here and they provided us with the best experience we could hope for. The house was gorgeous and exactly what was listed. The owners were so helpful with any questions and even came to the house just to make sure that one of our small questions was taken care of immediately. I would recommend this property to anyone and everyone who asks about staying in the Woodland Park, Manitou, or Colorado Springs area. 10/10!!

We were lucky to have a snow so the kids could sled right at the property. We had some Elk showing up as well. It was a great stay and I would recommend it to everyone that is looking to stay in place like that. You are able to park your vehicle inside the garage if you need to. The kids loved the playroom. Plenty of games available. I wish there would be more King size beds rather than queen but that would be the only thing I could point out. Check in and check out was super easy. Property is gorgeous.

The booking process and communication with Ashly went seamlessly. The cabin was just as the pictures showed, rustic and cozy. It was high on a mountain and I had to take some narrow, curvy roads to get to it. There were a few other cabins near it but it felt very secluded which is what I enjoyed. All the necessities were provided. I couldn’t be more happy with my stay.

Owners were understanding and allowed a last minute change to our group number due to a family emergency two days before our check in date. This meant the world to me!! Nice big, clean property. The additional room over the garage worked well for our group. The property managers kept the house decorated for Christmas for us, purchased an air fryer and was ready for us when we arrived early. The kids enjoyed sledding- they had sleds to use-close enough to Breckenridge for our skiers to ski and still have time at the house with family. Lots of pantry items and laundry soap available. Air hockey was a big hit with the kids. Beds were comfortable. We would stay here again. Thank you- for your hospitality.

This home, the land it is on, and the town it is in, are absolutely wonderful. It was the perfect spot to reconnect with some old Navy friends. Plenty of space for sleeping and playing games. A well stocked kitchen for all our cooking. Enjoyed the beautiful Christmas decor. There were some issues with a few of the amenities, but I do believe the property managers did everything in their power to make everything great for our visit. House and location 10/10, would recommend!

We really loved our stay here. The surrounding property and the house are beautiful - we loved hanging out by the rock wall and the hot tub, and hearing the sounds of nature around us. The house was extremely well stocked with thoughtful amenities, we had everything we could have needed there. Thanks for hosting us!

The house and property was better than we could have expected, we had our son's wedding there and it was absolutely beautiful. Was plenty of room for our family and was stocked with anything we could possibly need. Would 100% recommend this property. The property manger was great to work with. Would love to visit here again.

This property was very family-friendly and our family thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Plenty of places to go on walks and short hikes for the kids; the fire pit for s'mores was perfect; lots of room in the house for everyone to spread out; kitchen very well stocked with anything you need for cooking meals, etc., close to Walmart and just a short drive to many tourist attractions.
We were disappointed with a few of the amenities: the dishwasher wasn't working; back steps off the deck needed repairs and were dangerous if not aware of the broken areas; the water in the hot tub turned green and gross after a couple of uses; and there was no garage door opener for use, which made ground level entry difficult.
Overall, it was very enjoyable. Just wished these items had been taken care of, considering the price we paid.

Beautiful home in the mountains
The house is beautiful and we loved the forest setting and gorgeous Mountain View. Deer came right up to the porch. Very convenient to Walmart, grocery stores, and shops and attractions. There were some minor issues such as the Internet service provider outage and some items needing repair but the property managers were amazing and did everything possible to fix the problems. The house sits off of a dirt road so a 4 wheel drive would be beneficial in the winter. We were able to make it up the hill in a Malibu with no problems. Our grandkids loved the hot tub and cooking S’mores in the fire pit. Our family really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property for families.

The property is lovely and has many amenities. The coffee, tea, and hot chocolate station was appreciated by all. The property has cooking oil, salt & pepper, spices, all kitchen appliances, trash bags, soap, everything you need; even new baby shampoo and adult toiletries. Management was always responsive. All these years I haven’t left a review because I don’t like to say not nice things… this is my first and 5 star review. We had an infant and it is kid friendly. The property gives you a mountain feel but conveniently located to Walmart and restaurants. Don’t hesitate book this place! It’s conveniently located to everything in Colorado Springs.

We had a great family vacation! There was 7 adults and 6 kids and we never felt crowded. Pros:Beds were good, kitchen had lots of dishes/pots/small appliances and spices. We enjoyed the coffee bar, hot tub and outside areas.
Cons:No screen on the up stairs bunk room, so we couldn't open the window. My grandkids slept in this room and it was very hot in the evening.
Did have issues with a couple of the TVs, but Nolan got that taken care of.
