About this house rental
Our Gulf front home is set on 135 feet of white sand beachfront, with breathtaking Gulf views. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, with the "World's Whitest Beaches" as our backyard! This custom home has 4 bedrooms and 4 baths on the main level w/ an additional 3rd floor 567SF loft/5th bedroom with, bunk beds, sofa, large work/game table, a full bath & Gulf front balcony. Each bedroom, as well as the loft, has 11 ft. vaulted ceilings and private baths. The Gulf front Master and guest room both open up to the back upper deck & the other 2 guest rooms each have Sound view balconies. Beds: 2 Kings, 1 Queen, 2 Twins & a set of Bunk Beds (full bottom/twin top) in 3rd Floor Bedroom /Loft. Our gourmet kitchen, updated in 2021 w/ white a quartz counter level island, has both Sound and Gulf views. Kitchen is set up for those who love to cook and entertain. It is fully equipped with stainless appliances, which include 2 Samsung Bespoke French-Door refrigerators-each w/ icemaker (2023), 2 KitchenAid dishwashers(2022), 5 burner KitchenAid gas stove, oven, microwave and a pantry. The counter height kitchen island seats 5 and is open to the dining/living area. (see photos) The large open concept living/dining room boasts 11ft ceilings, spectacular Gulf views throughout, a wall mounted 70" flat screen Samsung TV/soundbar, wet bar with icemaker & bar sink, also updated w/ quartz in 2021. The master bedroom w/ Queen TempurPedic bed has beautiful Gulf views and opens out onto the back upper deck. The master bath has a large contemporary walk-in tile shower & separate soaker tub, both w/waterfall faucets. The spacious vinyl-planked upper deck with 4 chaise lounges, a teak 4-seat dining table, 10 high back folding teak chairs & side table, a 5 burner gas grill (new in 2021), is partially covered but still offers plenty of room for sunbathing and sunset views. The ground level large 23x 20 lower covered wood deck w/2 picnic tables, electric outlet & outside shower is also great for entertaining & getting out of the sun. The elevator goes from the lower level to the main living area & exits into our laundry room. This home has 2 electric heat pump A/C systems (new in 2019) & a 3rd flr Diakon ductless A/C unit, gas tankless water heater, 2 covered parking areas & additional parking in front for guests. We provide beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, 2 Trek Hybrid Bikes and various beach toys. Feel free to use ours and/or add yours to the collection when you leave. This is a smoke-free house. NOTE: PLEASE choose the $89 accidental property damage protection policy when booking our home. The island path is just 2 blocks away and runs the entire span of the Island - all the way East to Navarre Beach or West to Ft. Pickens National Park. It's perfect for walking, running or cycling. Trolley Stops are located approximately every 4 blocks. Morgan Park, located on Pensacola Beach, has a shallow water boat ramp. Pensacola Beach is a vacation dream because it has some of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world, extensive outdoors activities, great restaurants and nightlife. Paradise awaits you!

Dealing directly with Ruth was a pleasure and a big advantage. She was very responsive and went above and beyond what was expected to be sure we were satisfied. The house is in a section of Pensacola Beach that is not crowded. We had the entire beach in front of the house to ourselves all week. The house is well kept and very functional. This house is beautiful and the location was absolutely perfect for us! The house is located further down Pensacola Beach from the main action and high rise condos and hotels. The house is located right on the beach and it felt like we had a private beach to ourselves. The bedrooms were spacious and spotless. The view from the main living area was incredible! The kitchen and pantry were well stocked with everything our family of six adults and two children would need for a week's stay.
Our host, Ms. Ruth, was very attentive and responsive. We had a couple of minor house issues that were handled quickly and with little to no interruption to our activities.
I would highly recommend this house for families who would like an awesome beach view, beach access, and lots of space to breathe.

My family and I stayed at Sol LaRu in June 2023. The pros - The house is on a fantastic, quiet spot on the beach. We rarely had anyone within 50' of us at any time. The elevator was great for bringing luggage/groceries in and out of the house. All four of the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the main level which was great for our elderly family members. The A/C systems worked great and kept the entire house comfortable day and night. The owners are very approachable easy to contact. The cons - The mattresses in both the master and 2nd gulf front bedroom were not comfortable and are worn out in our opinion. It felt like sleeping in a hole. We reached out to the owners who said they would look into our feedback about the mattresses. Also, while the sofa and chairs in the den look stylish, they were not very comfortable, especially for our older family members. In addition, there was not enough seating in the den for all 8 of our family members at the same time. The bedding and den furniture is why we gave it 4 versus 5 stars. Otherwise, the house is great. We would recommend the house to others.

Everything was lovely. The only thing we were not happy with was the bed in the master bedroom. Everything was so high end, but the bed in the masfer was a double! The .mattreas was not good, and thhe head of it tipped downwards. Did not make for a good night's rest.

The house was very nice with an open floor plan, which was perfect for our accommodations. The elevator was a life saver. Location and walk to beach was great. The property owner was very helpful and available anytime we had questions. Made for a great visit/vacation.

The house and the furnishings were just as described. This home had a very short walk to the beach. No boardwalk to cross dunes.

Family vacay
The house was in an excellent location a short distance from the restaurants and shops. The beach was a lot less crowded which was perfect since we had 3 small children. The house itself was very clean and up to date. It was well stocked with cooking accessories and towels and linens. Of most important the air conditioning kept the house cool and comfortable all week. There were also plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys available to take to the beach.
Dealing with Ruth thru the reservation process and checking in and out was very efficient. She was a delight to work with. Everything went very smooth. The house is better than advertised.

Great House and location!
It is a great house and wonderful location! We had 4 families with 11 people, 8 adults and 3 children. The 2 oldest had the entire loft to themselves with the bunks beds and sofa.
The house sits directly on the beach allowing for easy access. The 2 refrigerators and ice makers make all the difference with a large group of southerners that like to cook!
The owner manages the home, and she is very involved remotely. There is no property manager on-site or local as you have at other VRBO homes, which could be a plus or minus depending on preference.
The only big issue for our group seemed to be the set AC temperatures. We like a cold house at night and bumping the AC unit up so high during the day did not allow time for the house to cool enough at night. We found it to be overly warm the majority of the time.
Although we love the house and location, unfortunately we will not return. There is a strict 11 person limit and my children are now of an age where they want to bring a friend on our family trips. If you have a smaller group, I would highly recommend!

A perfect beach home to create memories with family
The home is beautiful and is only a few steps to a private beach. The host is most gracious and she made sure that we’re comfortable and enjoying our stay. The kitchen is fully stocked. Beach towels, umbrellas, tents, chairs and all beach toys for the kids are available. It’s perfect!!

Family vacation 2021
This was an absolutely beautiful vacation spot-all the luxuries of home and within footsteps to the beach. Being in a less busy area of the beach was nice and the house had all the amenities to hang out on the beach. The views were breathtaking from the balcony and what a beautiful place to take early morning walks with the family! We were a large group so going out to eat wasn’t much of an option so the open kitchen/dining area was perfect-we had great cooks! Shopping and groceries were easily accessible. We had 4 generations together… made great memories! Oh, the beach was also a beautiful backdrop for a marriage proposal - congratulations to my daughter and our future son-in-law. Thank you for sharing your home and for all the precious memories for my family. ❤️

We stayed at this house in 2017 and loved the location. Since then it has changed owner and has been remodeled. The house is beautiful and perfect for a large family. Two refrigerators and two dishwashers are a huge plus. Owner checks in often to make sure there are no issues and if any arise, she is quick to handle. We had a wonderful stay at Sol LaRu! Our family has been staying at vacation rental homes along the gulf coast of Florida since 2009. All of the homes we have rented have been lovely but this was by far the most elegant! The kitchen and main living area are to die for. High end appliances, two refrigerators, two freezers, two dishwashers, massive kitchen island with multiple swivel stools, 60" round dining table that easily seats 8, enormous curved Samsung television, wet bar with built in ice maker, and so much room! The pantry was well stocked and we had plenty of supplies to get us through our time there. We ate most of our meals at the house and it was so functional. We used the grill on the deck to cook our fish from Joe Patti's too. There are 4 large bedrooms on the main floor, each with their own lovely bathroom (two w/gorgeous showers), and a large room on the third floor with its own bathroom, bunk beds (full on bottom), sofa w/sitting area, and a large table and chairs. My husband and college kids had to work and do online school during the day quite a bit and they set up their own office space up there. The wifi worked really well and easily handled multiple computers running simultaneously. There are gorgeous decks on all three floors. We found the seating on the main deck super comfortable and more than enough space for the 8 of us. Ruth is delightful and so accommodating. She checked in with us often and was very helpful. The house manager came by the first day to introduce himself and was very nice. We met the cleaning crew on our last day and they were great too. The house is absolutely gorgeous but the views are even better. The main floor has floor to ceiling windows that look out onto the beach and three of the bedrooms have the same lovely view. All five bedrooms have a deck off of them, 3 with ocean front views and two with bay views. My teenage children enjoyed sitting out on their bay view balconies at night. The location of the house on Pensacola Beach is fantastic. The pier is wonderful but that end of the beach is very congested. The Portofino condos at the other end of the beach are also very congested. This area is between those two so it is on the quietest part of the island. My family spent a very quiet and relaxing two weeks enjoying the waves and the unique smells of the Gulf.
From a practical standpoint, the home is very well appointed. Very clean. And, visually arresting. The owners are attentive without being intrusive. The maintenance team is thorough and disciplined.
Well worth the stay. And, as my 92 year old mother in law says - a place where she did not feel threatened by the outside world.
Finally, as a global traveler I have to say that the price point is amazing and substantially below the cost of suites at luxury hotels. The comparison is even more so when one considers that those properties no longer have the amenities that made them special.

Great Beach View and Accessibility
Pluses: Easy beach access (our 87 year old was the first one on the beach every morning). Beautiful view with large open kitchen that allows for 3+ guests to prepare meals simultaneously. Two refrigerators, two dishwashers, one ice maker, grill on deck - very functional and highly appreciated! Daily dolphin sightings while having breakfast - hard to beat that!! Dark skies at night for star gazing from the deck.
Minuses: Large parties will find limited options to gather inside after your meal. One L shaped couch and a couple of chairs provides a limited amount of seating. Lights are plentiful, but controlling them is confusing due to the multiple switches. Child gates are difficult to open, especially one handed. Plastic mattress covers are uncomfortable to sleep on (hot, crinkly). Found a couple of nail heads popped up on lower deck - keep your sandals on. Umbrellas - better off renting (we used Lazy Days) for quality/durability. You are responsible for any oil drips on the driveway. Finally - would be nice to have more comfortable deck furniture.
We had a large group ranging spanning 4 generations. Hard to please everyone, but overall we had a good visit and plan to return again.

Great Vacation
This was the perfect home for our family vacation! Each bedroom had it's own bathroom and balcony access. The kitchen had everything we needed ti cook for a large group. The view from the balconies was amazing. The sandy area outside the house was perfect for family football games. The best part of all, a beautiful beach right outside the door and down a short path. We loved our week at Pensacola Beach and can't wait to do it again!

Best for a large family.
My family and I have been going on beach vacations since we were kids. Since becoming adults, we have not stayed at the same beach twice, let alone the same house. We loved this experience so much we booked again next year! Ruth was amazing with communication and making sure we were enjoying our stay.
With 4 family's staying in one house it still did not seem to crowded. The main floor is open concept right out to the front porch. The loft area is great for kids and board games during rainy times and still gives a view of the ocean.
Everyone was ecstatic about the amount of personal beach space this property provides, we had room to set up all the chairs and ground mats we needed, still play soccer along the beach and not be in anyone else's way! I absolutely recommend staying here if you can find dates available!

Absolute Paradise
We (4 adults and 6 children) just spent a week at Sol Laru and had an absolutely amazing week!! This was our 9th summer trip to Pensacola. The home is gorgeous. The check in process was super easy and Ruth checked in a few times before and after to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. We loved having 2 refrigerators and dishwashers. We also appreciated the fact that Ruth supplies ample towels for the beach as well as for bathing. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies for cooking. The ice maker at the wet bar was a godsend. The gas grill was topnotch for grilling and having a gas line hook up ensures you never run out!
The kids loved having the upstairs area to play their video games. We had such a private space on the beach too.....we definitely did not feel crowded or have people super close.
Our only recommendation would be for more comfortable seating on the main patio. We spent a lot of time out there in the mornings and evenings and the teak chairs get a little uncomfortable.
All in all, we loved the house and hope to return next year. Thank you Ruth for sharing your wonderful home and being super easy to work with!!
