Besides the miles of beautiful, secluded beaches the town offers a fishing pier, a Surfside Park, watercraft rentals for all budgets, parasailing, many fun parks and a children's playground. Sounds of the Sea is a beautifully decorated townhome that you will look forward to coming back to in the evening. It is also walking distance to one of my favorite restaurants in St. Augustine, "Caps on the Water" the food and sunsets there are world famous. There is also Aunt Kate's restaurant and many other amazing choices for dinner or receptions. Vilano Beach is known for destination beach weddings because it is so secluded. VILANO BEACH IS A QUIET BEACH, NO MASKS REQUIRED. Now let me tell you about Sounds of the Sea, as soon as you walk into this gem you will notice what remarkable taste the owners have. They have gone out of their way to make you feel comfortable and the beach theme is cozy and relaxing. There is a large back yard with a patio to enjoy your coffee in the morning and a new grill for your fresh catch of the day. The grill is there for you to enjoy, you just need to catch the fish. The living room has cozy couches to relax in and watch movies at night on the large flat screen TV. The kitchen is fully equipped if you wish to eat in or there are many dining choices nearby. The downstairs bedroom offers a comfortable king size bed and another flat screen TV to help you wind down the day. Upstairs the master bedroom has a king size bed and TV, so this is a perfect unit for two couples or a family. There is also a large bedroom upstairs. So, this fabulous unit can sleep 6 with 2 Kingsize beds and lots of room for a blow-up mattress. The upstairs bedroom is huge if you wish to bring air mattresses. There is also a new washer and dryer if you want to wash any clothes while you are there. Sounds of the Sea is located conveniently within minutes of countless amazing restaurants, state parks, miles of the most beautiful and tranquil beaches you can find anywhere near, amazing historical sites, world-class shopping, and so much more. Is was so easy to pay.
We checked in late however was worried about getting the keys. That was not an issue for this couple.
They responded with five minutes to any question we had.
There was everything you needed to cookware, beach fun, Towels extra blankets.
Wager and dryer worked and was very fast and efficient.
She even had extra women items for you in the bathrooms.
I was able to bring my 3 medium dogs. They absolutely loved the fenced in back yard. It was very spacious, dog friendly, and private with a grill, Waterhouse, screened in porch with nice clean tables in and chairs.. Last but not least she has a beautiful arrangements of plants and flowers for your view in the evenings lit up by solar lights.. loved their place

Exactly as described. Wonderful location. Host even gave restaurant recommendations which we did use & they also were awesome. Place was very clean & loved the private fenced-in yard & screened in porch.

Excellent location and clean interior but...
Family inconvenienced by calls and visits during stay. When vacationing people want to relax and not be bothered by their phones going off.. Back yard had dog poop and grass should have been cut before family arrived with 3 small children. Otherwise GREAT location and ability to use golf cart for beach trips was a nice addition.

Great spot!
The place was awesome. Very clean and well located. We could walk to Cap's on the water restaurant and an easy 8-10 minute walk to the beach. The golf cart that we rented from them was great. Anne and Michael were a joy to work with on our vacation.

Perfect spot!!
We were very impressed with our stay here. This place is very spacious, with a nice back porche(s) and yard. Two minute drive to beach access, and a five minute drive to Publix. Anne was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area!

Sounds of the Sea Review
We stayed at Sounds of the Sea for Four nights. The property was very clean and had all the comforts of your own home. The beds were awesome!! The owners of wonderful people. If you need something they were there in a matter of minutes. The location was also great it is close to everything. We really enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend it to others. Thank you for allowing us to stay!!!!!

Beautiful and relaxing getaway
The townhome was very clean with new furniture. Tons of towels (including beach towels) were supplied. The kitchen had all the basics and was very clean. The a/c worked great, and there were ceiling fans in every room. Beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the back yard which included a screened in porch with new outdoor furniture. The garage was fully loaded with beach chairs and some beach bikes. We went into St Augustine a couple of times, but mostly stayed in Villano. The Publix grocery story 3 miles down the road was very convenient. The property managers (Anne & Michael) were awesome. Anne was so friendly and gave us lots of good tips about where to eat and other fun things to do. She even sent me home w/tons of plant clippings after I admired her handiwork in the yard. We'd definitely return here! Thanks so much guys!

Clean, well appointed, nice vibe
We needed a quiet place to spend 10 days with a new born baby while waiting for the adoption paperwork to proceed. Sounds of the Sea was a great find. New mom and baby stayed on the ground floor, grand parents stayed in the loft and everyone was happy. We cooked a lot of meals in the well appointed kitchen Nice deck in the back yard for cocktails at sunset. Very nice restaurant on the water, just a short two block walk.

Amazing!!
This place was absolutely amazing!! Not only is it super clean, it was super cute and had plenty of room and space. The owners are absolutely amazing and so helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and made themselves available if we needed anything during our stay. They also allowed us to bring our fur babies which made things even easier for us! I only wish we could have been able to stay longer but I would love to be able to come back and stay again!!

Wonderful house, even better location!!
This property is quite a gem. The location absolutely cannot be beat! The house was extremely clean, and inviting. The layout is great, and the home is well appointed, with anything you may need to make sure your stay is perfect. From extra towel, blankets, pillows, kitchen items, to a garage full of bikes and beach stuff. We had everything we needed! The location is just about a block away from the beach, and even has a great fenced in backyard for relaxing or letting your pets run around. One of our favorite things to do was to ride the bikes over to the beach and hang out. The beach is gorgeous and wasn't crowded at all. Anne and Michael were extremely accommodating and checked on us throughout our stay. I have to say this one of the best experiences I have ever had using VRBO thanks to them. We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely Beautiful
This place was amazing! As soon as we walked in, I loved it. Everything was clean and well kept. All the amenities we needed (and more). I loved having my morning coffee out on the indoor deck and also backyard. Short distance from the beach. Michael and Anne were very helpful! A must do is the Water Taxi to downtown St Augustine! My son and I loved it..... I am definitely going back here. A negative ?? --- well I can't think of any except that I wish I could have stayed longer. Truly enjoyed it.

Absolutely the best place to stay when visiting St. Augustine, Florida
I normally do not write reviews, but I could not pass this one up. First of all, the property owners are totally the BEST!!!! They communicated with me from the minute I booked this vacation. They checked on us when we checked in to make sure everything was alright. The checked on us throughout the week to see if we needed anything. Second, the house is simply amazing, very well kept and clean. Do not let the price per night scare you off, I guess the owners are more concerned with making sure you can afford a great vacation rather than making all the money they can off of you. Did I mention how great the property owners were? I greatly appreciate the ability to bring our pets. The area for the pets is great, its a fenced in back yard. This was very important because the person who was suppose to keep one of our dogs backed out as we were getting ready to leave for vacation leaving us with no option. The neighborhood is very friendly and safe. Its a very short and convenient drive to the beach.
My wife and I came to St. Augustine 32 years ago for our honeymoon. We wanted something special for this year's anniversary. This rental property allowed us to bring our entire family including our 4 children and 4 grandchildren. I checked several places in St. Augustine, but could not afford the prices until I found this one on VBRO. When we get another chance to come to St. Augustine, I will only stay at a place owned by Michael and Anne.

Wonderful location, quiet, close to beach
This was a wonderful rental. It was decorated well, freshly paint, comfortable king size beds, nice screened in porch and backyard with plenty of seating. Full kitchen and washer/dryer. Owners were very responsive to our questions and made sure our needs were met. Beach was a short drive away and it was close enough to Jacksonville to afford some beach time and also feel close to family in Jax. The upper bedroom has a door with a lock and it’s own bedroom but it is open to the main area below so only drawback is if your group has extremely different sleep/TV habits. Grocery store just a few miles down the road and restaurants within a short distance. Would definitely stay here again!
