Great location.

Very sparsely equipped throughout. 1 small tv, no music system, radio or other forms of activity. No child crockery of cutlery, overall poorly equipped. For a self catering apartment the facilities lacked in every way, the cleanliness of the kitchen was poor, every item of cutlery and crockery required re washing before use, as they’d been put away heavily soiled with food debris. We are unlikely to re visit. and didn’t consider it to be value Fiordland money.

we have stayed in The Bay before and it is simply fab. to a very good standard, fab facilities and great location right on the beach

only 2 little niggles - the room opposite were chain smokers which unfortunately spread across into our room, not great for none smokers. secondly the bunk beds squeak a little so woke the kids up.

Difficult to find key safe, no markings on the box with flat number… as it is ground floor flat, blinders in the bedroom would be better instead of curtains .

Big enough for a family

There was things what clearly had not been cleaned in a while payed alot of money to have to clean up before I could even use bathroom at all grime everywhere 🙃 dissatisfied to say the least

The en suite was really unclean. The ledges were thick in dust and the shower was dirty.

The Oystercatcher is a ground flood apartment in a great location within The Bay resort; is it a few minutes walk from the local resteraunts and the beach, yet still in a quiet area. The apartment itself was light and spacious.

The apartment itself was not well maintained and was dirty; this was particularity notable in the en-suite bathroom, living and kitchen area. The maintenance aspects included attention to details; scuff marks on many walls, screw heads in the walls, doors not finished. The layout of facilities such as a small sink underneath a shelf in the bathroom was not easy to co-orfinate for someone at 6ft 2". A real shame as with a little more TLC it could be a really lovely apartment. The information pack on arrival in the apartment does also provide misleading and outdated information on the leisure centre and activities on site; guests who do not book the The Bay website, and through secondary sites such as booking.com, are not entitled to free access to the pool and gym facilties and require payment.

Great apartment located in nice holiday village. Everywhere was clean. Flowers blooming Everywhere. Friendly people. Good facilities on site. Short walk to main road for buses into town. Beach was immaculate.

Path to beach was a bit of a killer on my old knees.

Could smell what other visitors were cooking. Not the fault of the property owner however.

No washing up liquid at the property. Also no extra bin bags were provided.

The property was clean and within good distance of the leisure centre and a 15 minute walk to the beach. the beds were comfortable and the living area was a good size for our group

no designated BBQ areas, so it meant taking heavy food items + disposable grills to the beach

Oystercatcher at the bay was in a great location, 10 minutes to the beach and only 3 minutes to the pool, shop, bar. The place was also very spacious

The place itself isn't soundproofed, so we were kept awake by the neighbours above running around. Also, the windows were difficult to open/close, and once opened, the place is easy to break in to, so all had to be closed when going out. The cooker wasn't clean, and we found a toy car under a chair, so obviously wasn't cleaned.
