The cameras make the rooms look big bit they are tiny.. Breakfast is boring. My wife asked for water 3x from the staff and recieved nothing.. The staff come across in my opinion very lazy. Price we paid for the room for what it was is shocking never go there again so many better places same area for your money.
The room , the staff , the food

The staff were very friendly & helpful :)
Location not very good. Rooms quite outdated. No dedicated massage or spa room so massages had to be done in the public pool area next to where people were relaxing or on your room balcony. Not ideal.

Everything was perfect. The room was clean and new. Breakfast was great, wide range to choose from and you really get your fill.
The swimming pool was well taken care of
The hotel was located on the quiet side of the island, right on the beach.

Amazing place right at the sea. Especially wooden bungalow with comfy terrace. Good breakfast with the sea view. Staff is always ready to help

Amazing beach location - the beach was set up beautifully for guests. Staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent.
There was no hot water for the shower, and the bathroom was not the cleanest. The outside doors didn’t seem to close all the way so there were a lot of bugs that were able to fly in.

As others have said the hotel plot is long and thin, which only allows 1 bungalow to face the sea. The grounds are kept immaculate as was our room, however ask for towel / bedding changes if needed.
There are local restaurants the best we found was “Chill Chill” a 15 minute walk – out to the end of the road turn left, down the hill and up the other side, its on the left.
As other reviews have said you need a scooter, the hotel rent us a nice one for 5 days @ 250 baht per day.
What the booking pictures don’t show is the concrete pier just to one side of the plot and all the longboats moored in front of the hotel garden/ restaurant. Unless its high tide its over a 100 meter walk to the sea then that again to get your knees wet!
We were staying a week a saw nobody use the restaurant in the evening. It has no atmosphere, the prices are high plus they add service charges and tax, best to eat out.
The hotel offer a free shuttle service to Lam Haed Beach, don't go unless its low tide at high tide there is no sand bar just a beach of plastic bottles. Its easy to check tides on the internet “Koh Yao Yai tide table”.
If you get a standard room on the ground floor be prepared for amplified foot steps the guests in the room above take. Not so bad early evening but at 3am in morning?

We stayed 4 nights at the honeymoon suite which was amazing. Fortunately 3 nights the neighbour room was empty so it was silent and calm at night. Very cosy bar at the beach. Very nice staff at the bar and café and restaurant.
The one night when the neighbour suite was occupied we couldn’t sleep at all. Ok, these guests were extremly loud all night, but the walls are very thin and you can hear everything from there. The beach of the property is not the best for swimming because the water is very low and in case of low tide there isn’t any water at all. The staff at the reception is could manage everything but was a little bit cocky and not nice at all.

Rooms are excellent. Clean, spacious, comfortable. Location near the beach is lovely. Ko Yao Yai as an island is very relaxed.

beautiful boutique little place. Relaxing and charming.
Religious prayers chanting loudly over a PA system at 5.25am every morning. Room service and meals took forever.

The food at the restaurant was terrible and so expensive.

the hotel is beautiful, lovely decorated
the bed is quite hard, the shower is inconsistent, either too hot or too cold. no place to dry your clothes. no yoga classes. very expensive food, cocktails, activities. the water bottles and trash from the hotel they throw away across the hotel. not sustainable at all. they should have a refill option for water. breakfast was very basic and not tasty.

The actual resort is super pretty and the staff was lovely. The room and the pool were great as well.
Their wasn’t much to do in the island. We rent a scooter which was our best decision but the beach aren’t so cool and there’s no downtown. It’s great if you want to enjoy a calm resort.

-The front desk staff was incredible, Ann, Nouss, Ho(?) and especially Nie, that went over and above to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. We have been traveling now for 4.5 months and these ladies were by far the nicest we have encountered. Nie really made us feel welcome and I appreciated greatly
-Scooter rental on site
-House keeping were very attentive too our needs
-Netflix available in some rooms. Nice when it rains.
-Some of the staff at the restaurant were either very new or not really efficient. The restaurant charges around 2 times what is charged at the end of the road, but the services was not always very good (sometimes very poor)
-Not the fault of the hotel but when it is low tide, the beach is not really nice

Two nice swimming pools, beach access. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food, slightly pricey but eye for detail and good quality. Some restaurants nearby (go to Chill Chill @ Pai)
We had two power breakdowns (the whole islandhad no power) (one lasted for 9 hours). The owner should consider to buy a big diesel generator. We missed a drying rack on our balcony.

I loved this hotel, loved the room category we chose with the bathtub that has glass walls and is right beside the balcony with a nice view.
Our room category was sea view. I was disappointed that our balcony was looking at a pile of the hotels garbage. If you look to the left you had the sea view.

the staff were friendly
The beach is not really a beach and it’s right by a pier and fishing boats ( so the photos do not tell the truth )
It is on a long thin strip of land so it feels not very spacious and claustrophobic.
The pools are ok but one very small and boxed in and the other a long strip is more like a private pool
The food in the restaurant was ok but not great ( I had a very average thai curry )
I tried to get a coffee in the cafe early but didn’t open until 11am and they didn’t know how much breakfast was .
The rooms were dark and not everything working great.
The staff are friendly and I am sure a good holiday for a family but needs to up their game and be honest with photos of beach front as not great to swim there 🙏
