A good hostel to stay with my students, they enjoyed there. Wonderful.

Very close to CU mart, coffee shops, restaurants, train stations and bus stops. I can heat ,cook the food and sit at the living room and watch tv. Washing machine and dryer also provided.

The van cannot go drive near inside to the hostel, it’s a one way street. It’s only like less than a minute walk in.. should be no problem if the temperature not subzero Celsius. Waiting outside for the transport at 3am in the morning it’s really really cold.

Exceptional

Sunnyhill Hostel was in a fantastic location to explore Hongdae and Seoul. It was in a quieter side street in the center Hongdae near lots of restaurants and shops. The room was clean and comfortable.

The place, it was very dirty. My room was at the 6th floor and the elevator goes only until the 5th. There is some really small stairs to get to my room and it was difficult to climb up there with our suitcases. The place smells and it seems that there was nothing cleaned up on the shared lobby. There were also many flies in the room. I felt so grossed out that I only spent 1 out of 7 nights there and checked-out earlier (even if i couldn't get refund..) There was no one working here when we went.

Superb

The location is surrounded by many restaurants, minimarts and coffee shops. Not many crowed like Hongdae but not desolated as well. The small hostel has elevator and washing machine, that's very good points!

A bit far from subway station. Heater system is in the floor, so we have to sit on the floor to get warm.

the hostel is great, common area is big, the owner was really helpful. we had a great time staying at Sunny Hill and will definitely come back again

Very pleasant experience, quiet location yet convenient to lively shopping and dining area around.

The room is cozy with windows and was surprised that the floor is equipped with heater, which feels very comfortable walking around the room bare feet in the winter cold weather.

The water pipes sound is slightly noisy when other rooms are using the toilet.

Uncomfortable and depressing - I stayed in my room as little as possible

Great that the washing machine and dryer are free of charge! The kitchen seemed well-equipped and much more comfortable than the kitchen in a nearby guesthouse I've previously stayed. And on the rare occasions that I saw any staff, they did seem very friendly. Internet was also pretty good.

When I arrived, the shower room was completely wet, including the toilet paper. The shower room had a visible extractor fan but there was no switch for it, so the room was constantly humid, shower room took a long time to dry and dew collected often on the window. Probably as a result of how damp it was, I did see bugs occasionally, including a silverfish, spider and often mite-type bugs. In a place I stayed in twice not far from this location previously, I never once saw bugs in the room. The overall presentation of the room wasn't great, with cobwebs on the ceiling, walls full of marks and even a hole. I was not told there would be a cleaner for the rooms but suddenly after being there for 3 weeks my room was cleaned and the bedding changed - customers should know when staff need to enter the room! The only storage space in the room were two very thin desk drawers, nowhere else to store clothes, despite plenty of wall space they could put shelves. Other guests don't obey the quiet after 11pm rule, including using the washing machine or dryer after that time, and the rooms are generally not soundproof, both regarding outside and internal noise. Other guests also are not very good at cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen, meaning the lobby/kitchen area is sometimes messy. Also, breakfast was said to be available from 8:30 every day, but it rarely was. I also was not told what to do with emptying my room's bin, I had to ask.

Good location, but not so clean.

Good location. Free facilities such as washing machine, water.

The place was not as clean and new as the advertise pictures. Look like some construction is going on. The breakfast is small and too late (conflake and bread, start almost 9 am). The air condition did not seem to be adjustable.

Mold. Dirty and old pillow cases. Stay overall didn't smell nice. Public room of the hostel was more of a stock room.

located 500m from hongik university station. Room size is decent, quiet and clean. washing machine and dryer available for use. a coffee machine to make a good coffee.
