About this house rental
Come and enjoy the serenity of this Herring Creek waterfront property. Here you can enjoy the secluded private waterfront setting while being only a 5 minute drive to the beach. Bring your pontoon, small boat or jet ski and tie it to the 75’ pier. Herring Creek opens up to the bay via a low bridge so boats with a hard top or towers will have a problem clearing the bridge but smaller boats will be able to enjoy all that the bay has to offer. Have putting contests on the putting green with its sand trap and water hazard or just sit and relax as the sun goes down while eating delicious steamed crabs that you caught using the crab pot available to you. Here you will be conveniently located near to the beach, shopping, and restaurants as well as to Assateague Island State park where you can spend a day at the beach and see the wild ponies. This property sleeps 19 with a guest house which is just a few steps away from the main house. The main house has 4 bedrooms with 3 full and ½ baths. First floor has 3 entertaining areas, gourmet kitchen complete with stainless appliances, butcher block island with seating and granite countertops. Second floor has a king master with a full bath, another king bedroom that shares a hall bath with a bedroom that has a queen and two twin beds. Third floor is a queen bedroom with a balcony over looking the water, a queen bed, a day bed with trundle and a bath that has a charming vintage style claw tub. The guest house has a loft bedroom, main level bedroom and a full bath with a soaring cathedral ceiling in the main living area. This property comes equipped with cable TV , Free Internet, a BBQ grill, bed linens, and ample outdoor seating for you to enjoy your vacation. Please respect our home and neighbors. This is not a party house and if we receive complaints from our neighbors or if the police are called, you will be asked to leave with no refund. It’s unfortunate that we have to spell this out but, after a few incidents that necessitated eviction, we feel it only fair to warn you. If you’re excessively loud and obnoxious, your stay may be cut short.

The home was even more impressive than the photographs; great kitchen; several perfect spots to read a book, do a puzzle, watch TV or just soak in the peaceful view of the creek outside.

This was our 2nd time coming here and we love it both times. My friends and kids love it there and we enjoy ourselves. Host was very responsive also

This house was perfect for our group of 15 adults and children. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms, nice kitchen, calm views and close to the ocean. Owner was fast to respond to all our communications. Just remember to ask about towel service and bring your own soaps, toilet paper, and trash bags.

Yearly trip for 8 golfers for many years so we have stayed in a number of different houses. By far, Hooked on Herring is the best so we keep coming back. Everyone has their own bed and the place is close to some quality courses. Decatur Diner is our go to breakfast place. Thank you Carla for renting your home to us!

This accommodation fulfilled all of our needs, supporting our family of me , my wife, our three daughters and their 3 families. My wife and I could go off every evening to the guest house and enjoy the quiet end to great days. The children played outside, spent time fishing, my daughters floated on the river, and the putting green tested our skills.
Overall this house met our expectations and then some.

This house was amazing! It accommodated all 12 guys in our golf trip with ease. The house was clean and inviting. The location is unmatched for course in West OC. We will definitely book again next year!

Our group of friends stayed at this amazing house and it was definitely the best house we’ve been to. Large with many places to sit, well stocked kitchen, and an amazing view of the water. Very clean. Five minutes away from the beach and restaurants and shopping. Just amazing! Owner is very responsive to any questions or needs.

Pictures dont do this place justice, it was gorgeous and we enjoyed our stay! The kids had lots of things to keep them busy, loved the dock for fishing and the putting green area. 4 star rating because you have to bring your own towels, wash clothes, toilet paper, paper towels, and trashbags. Not everyone is able to travel with towels etc. Very poor way to run a rental if you're charging a cleaning fee.

A group of 4 families with little kids ranging from 2-10 stayed here Memorial Day weekend and it was so wonderful. Waking up to and eating while staring into the water was amazing. The house is super spacious and clean, and there is so much to occupy your time that you don’t even feel the need to leave. But we took advantage of outlet shopping, Assateague Island and the OC boardwalk/beach and loved that all of it was 5-12 min driving distance. The kids had a blast crabbing and running around outside. We took advantage of the canoe and grill and fire pit. It was truly a magical time. I stayed here once before 8 years ago before kids and the experience was just as good, if not better than the last time. Everything feels new and clean. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Our group of about 15 guys come here once per year and it has always been a great time.
The main floor is able to get us all together comfortably and we probably split our time evenly there and outside by the fire pit.
Golf, fishing and tge casino are all close by. The owner is very responsive and always makes it easy for us.
Would recommend for big groups.

This was exactly what we needed. It was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked. There’s lots to do outside with the bay literally in the back yard. They have 2 Canoes and 1 kayak. Lots of crabs and eels (couldn’t catch any fish though). Lots of crab trap and some life jackets. For others who go there, a few things to keep in mind. There is only 1 roll of tp in each bathroom. If you’re a large group staying for a few days you’ll need to bring extra- as well as paper towels. Bathrooms don’t have any hand soap either. Grocery store (food lion) and the beach are barely 5 minutes away. This place was incredible with lots of space. will definitely come back!

This property has it all! Gorgeous views, comfortable amenities, privacy, and super close to everything we wanted to do in OC for the weekend. My group was three families with children who ranged from 4-20 and we all enjoyed our stay.

Several Pastoral Couples gathered for a retreat in December at this beautiful home. We thoroughly enjoyed to character and beauty of the home and location. There was easy access to groceries, highways, historical sites. We were very comfortable. You will love your stay.
We had a small lighting challenge that was immediately handled. We even took advantage of the hottub :-)
It is in a residential neighborhood but you feel great peace there. We want to come back.

Very clean. Great location. Plenty of room for our group of 11 adults to interact and/or be alone. Nice kitchen and eating space. Plenty of parking. Enjoyed the putting green and the guest house.
Only complaint, we never found the air hockey table listed on the website.

We had a managers retreat here and the house was perfect for us. We cooked a team dinner and then sat around the fire pit making s’mores. The bedrooms worked out perfectly with the group of 10 that we had.

This property was awesome. Close enough to everything yet tucked away as a little slice of heaven. Very well stocked kitchen, lots of fun extras along the way- kayak, canoes, putting green, fire pit, good amount of chairs for everyone, etc. Property manager was always responsive to messages as well. Thank you again, we had a great time.

We love this property!!! This is the second time we have stayed here for our annual 3-generation family reunion in October... house is clean, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and lots of space to spread out. Crabbing, kayaking, rowing, and space for outdoor play. A nice upgrade would be a higher quality bbq grill.

We had a group of retired golf buddies and all agreed it was A-One. Just as advertised. Plenty of room and in proximity to everything we needed, including golf. Owner was easy to reach and more than happy to help.

We are a group of 10 women that retired from universities around the United States. We have been getting together annually for over 20 years, and this was one of the best gathering places we've had. The location was perfect. It was quiet. The view of the water was gorgeous from almost every room of the house. Carla was very responsive to our needs and requests. (She had wine glasses delivered within an hour of us sending a note saying we couldn't find any.) There were many excellent restaurants in the area, and food shopping was close by. All in all highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay here, given that we ended up being inside for nearly the entirety of our 5 day "fishing trip". Plenty of space for the 6 adults to spread out, including the very nice guest house that worked out nicely. Large and well equipped kitchen/eating area was great for dinners in, and the 2 living areas - each with TVs - allowed some to have quiet, while others watched TV. The outdoor area looked amazing - but given the weather - we were unable to enjoy it. Close to lots of great West Ocean city restaurants and other amenities, but a bit of a drive to get across the bridge to the boardwalk, etc. Overall - highly recommend this property for mid to large sized groups.

This property is absolutely beautiful, the photos don’t do it justice! The guest house was perfect for the babies to sleep unbothered. So close to the water and beautiful views from every room. Ample parking. No complaints!

Made super great memories as a family with grandparents, children, and grandchildren (ages 7 months to 12). Children loved the crab pots and fishing on the dock . . . plus the miniature golfing and boating and kayaking was a plus as well!
