Brilliant stay. Highly recommend!

Friendly and professional staff, immaculately clean throughout, great sized room, super comfy bed, delicious breakfast and great quality produce. Lovely lounge and bar to relax in.

I would’ve liked a fridge or a couple of bottles of water in the room. They do not serve food in the evening but you were welcomed to bring back food and have it weaved to you in the lounge as an alternative.

Best hotel around south Molton

Good location. Allow you to eat takeaways in the dining room. Friendly and helpful staff

Excellent stay can't wait to visit again!

Room was excellent. Well decorated and very clean. Good choice for breakfast. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly from check in to leaving.

Motorcycling week

On arrival the staff were very helpful & friendly. Being on motorcycles, the free, private parking was a great bonus. Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean & comfortable. It had one of the best showers we've ever had. Big towels & nice shower products. The breakfast choices were excellent, well cooked & very tasty. For the evening, the bar provided good real ale & an excellent selection of gin!

The only drawback of the hotel is that they don't provide evening meals & South Molton doesn't really have a choice of eateries! The hotel, however, did allow us to get takeaways & eat at the hotel, providing crockery & cutlery.

Exceptional

Even though it was a single room it's very quiet large it can fit a double bed and still have room to move about.

The only down side it's not disabled friendly but the staff was happy enough to watch me to climb up and down the stairs

Overall a good hotel but the lack of dinner being available was a negative.

The room was very good, spacious and well furnished and the en-suite likewise. Parking was convenient.

Breakfast finished at 9.00am which for us is too early when you're on holiday. This was a definite negative. We missed breakfast on our first morning as we didn't wake up in time.

Absolute gem of a place!

What a lovely gem of a place! Exceeded my expectations in every way. Beautiful, large comfy room, staff were great and breakfast was delicious. I will certainly be back

Loved it!

The staff so helpful and friendly breakfast freshly cooked on hot plates even when we came in early before the start time comfy bed good shower

It was difficult for us to find the right parking area.there was a bit of noise from the floor above . Shame we had to find a meal elsewhere in the evening

It location the room was recently redecorated to a good standard. The room was comfortable with a good bathroom

They never did evening food so we had Togo out to eat and there were limited places to eat

Cosy stay at The George

We had a lovely stay at the George Hotel in South Molton. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. The downstairs pub had a friendly atmosphere, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is also very dog-friendly, which was a huge plus.

The only downside was that the floors could be quite noisy as it is a very old building.

Perfect place to stay in South Molton

Amazing stay great value for money

Fantastic stay at the George. So clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. Can not recommend enough... its the little things that count and make a difference, like hot baked beans and two tea bags in the tea pot!!
