Breakfast was fantastic and the service was quick! Matias as the front desk was so friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful view and the beach club was awesome. I would definitely come back again.
A couple more hand and bath towels would have been nice. The AC didn’t cool the room as much as I was hoping. And the floors were fairly slippery posh shower.

Beautiful location. We got upgraded for free and were right on the beach the view was beautiful. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
The water wasn't working for about half our time there. Seemed to be an issue with the whole place. Luckily the place shares facilities with 2 other hotels nearby so we were able to shower quite easily on the beach instead of in our room.

Great location, close to the best restaurants in the area! The guy at the reception was very nice and upgraded our room.
Delicious breakfast!
Definitely come back to this atmospheric hotel
The beach was nice but a lot of seaweed

Loved the location, being close to the sea, the cozy room, the sunrise in the morning, the breakfast at the beach, the turtles at night.
The fact that the beach club/ bar/ restaurant weren't open until later.

The property was so cute and the location was perfect. I even got upgraded for free to an ocean view room. So kind of them ! It was a divine little stay. On the last night a giant sea turtle came up to my room. Breakfast was also included which is great.

The cabanas are cutes
The shared bathroom are okay and very clean
The staff is overall very nice
The breakfast is good
We stayed 2 nights and on the 1st night, our cabanas neighbors came back drunk, loud and with company. They stayed up all night yelling and laughing really loud. The cabanas' walls are real thin so we heard EVERYTHING.
On the next day, I went on to complain at the front desk, the told me I should have call hotel security (lol, pretty sure the security heard them too and did nothing, I think whole Tulum heard them) asking them to do something for the future night. They promess me the people I was referring too were checking out in the afternoon so I let it go.
Of course they didn't, of course they did the same thing the 2nd night...
I know we're in Tulum Beach and it's supposed to be a party zone but I didn't excepted to be woken up at 2 am, 2 nights in a row, by a horde of drunk and yelling Americans who didn't learn respect.
Very disappointed by the hotel who did nothing, even though I asked them too.

+ the shared bathroom were very clean
+ the room are comfortable
+ the private access to the beach
- the pool is in an other hotel, so you have to walk 300 meter
- in the room next to coco beach, you hear the music of the beach club until 10 pm

Location, environment, nature, facilities, breakfasts, service👍👍👍
One of the best vacations of ours💙💙💙
Thank you so much, Coco Tulum!
In general, our stay has been totally relaxing and amazing at Coco🙂
However, there were 2 unpleasant things I must mention.
First, while checking in we were asked to pay extra costs that had not been indicated in the Booking confirmation initially. The receptionist tried to explain that there was some kind of issue with Booking.com and that's why the final price differed. We were quite irritated, because we do not like when terms are changed without our approval. Finally, we were not required to pay this extra cost. But, this situation ruined our first impressions.
Second, beginning from April till October the sea brings plenty of seaweeds to the beach in this area and some days the picture of the seashore near the hotel was not nice at all. We understand that the hotel administration can not influence on nature and change that. But, some hotels were cleaning their beaches and taking the seaweeds away so the guests could enjoy time and feel comfortable while their stay. It would be great if Coco could clean the beach as well.
Hope this info will read by the hotel administration and the issues - resolved in the future.
Thank you!

Nice location right on the beach, although a bit far from most restaurants
Comfortable beds
Overall it is clear this place was designed with style over substance in mind - nice looking rooms and shared areas but lacking all useful amenities that would make them actually comfortable (just one accessible plug in the whole room, no storage space at all…)
The shower in our room was pretty much useless, with only a trickle of water coming out and virtually no water pressure. Ended up using the shared shower as I just couldn’t wash my hair otherwise.
The hotel only has filtered sea water for showers and sink, which ended up causing quite a bit of irritation and dryness to our skin.
The room had very little privacy so we felt like we constantly needed to keep the curtains closed. Given only light blocking curtains were available, it meant we had to either be stuck in a very dark room or be on display as people constantly walked by.
The air conditioning didn’t seem to be able to cool down the room quickly, and even when a comfortable temperature was reached it would go back to being too hot the second it was turned off. This is because the room has a thatch roof that makes it very poorly insulated, both against heat and noise.

Beach and the beach bar was really nice. Bartenders as well. We also liked breakfast.
It just was not comfortable. Wi-Fi worked really poorly in our room, but at the beach and in the restaurant worked fine.
3.0
bed was comfortable
potable water made me very sick, no flexibility at restaurant, no genuine warmth from staff, dirty lounge chair covers

The location - right on the beach with amazing views. The rooms were lovely and had a balcony with a hammock, great for chills.
The price of food and drinks at the bar was extortionate but then again the whole area is very expensive. No running water in rooms.

best staff ever. best location. simple but oh so perfect when travelling on a budget.

no wardrobe , no telephone , no hairdryer.

Fun spot right on the beach, can hear the waves crashing all night, stunning ocean views from porch. Walkable to other bars and restaurants!
The lock on the door was hard to maneuver. The walk to the bathroom was not fun as it’s all separate.

The coupons to Unlimited to welcome more exploration/business in the area .
Maybe new mattresses could be implemented once per season. Mattresses seemed to be overused.

The location by the beach is wonderfull! you feel quite private , the beach zone is few m away from the challet, and you can use sunbeds. friendly and helpful stuff. We liked the place!
* breakfast was quite not enough for us.. the coffee undrinkable and the portions quite poor.
*the coast line was full with sea weed. you can see other hotels clean their area, it would be nice if ours did the same.
* we stayed at the chalet with the shared bathroom, so we knew it might be uncomfortable, the bathroom was nice, but still uncomfortable , so if you like being private, that might not be for you, cause everytime you need to use the restroom it takes a while to get there.

On the beach - even though there was seaweed
Vouchers given for the bar
Nice decor
Staff can be quite rude
Breakfast can be very slow 45min+
They say they have room service but never pick up
Bad lighting in the room

The location is good; the facilities were very clean and the room was comfortable.
breakfast time was HORRIBLE… The staff takes a long time to take your order and after that it takes even longer to get your breakfast. We skipped breakfast the next day because we didn’t want to waste time, so we had to go somewhere else.

location, aesthetics, nature, ocean

bed wasn’t very comfortable - pillows are two hard

Nice Place Right on the Beach
Actually a nice Place to stay Right on the Beach
BUT:
They charged almost $50 more than what was shown on booking.com. „it would always be the current price“. then why do I book in advance??
Next to it is a Beach Bar, which plays very loud music from midday, very loud beats, on Friday until after 2 p.m
We asked reception several times when the music would stop: at 10 p.m., 11 p.m, at 12..
each time a different answer…
I was assured that I could speak to the manager the next morning. but he wasn't there and he wasn't called.
everyone tells something different.
The breakfast was in the Restaurant right on the street where it was very noisy and we had to wait up to half an hour. You could choose one from five different dishes. The Food portions were not very large, especially yoghurt with fruit.
The bikes were very basic, cost 20 Dollar a day.
so if you want to have a relaxing holiday, don't book Coco Tulum.
