Location on the main promenade

The windows of the balcony were covered in bird droppings, which completely spoilt the view. I immediately went downstairs to inform the reception and the response was “sorry, this is our last room, I can’t move you. The droppings probably came after the room was cleaned”. I said that I won’t be staying in the room where I have to look at dirty windows instead of the promised view, to which the receptionist reluctantly agreed to organise someone to clean the room. So for about 15 min we just awkwardly sat in the room while the window was being cleaned and didn’t even get an apology, let alone any small compensation. This left a bad impression of the level of customer service.

We enjoyed the beautifully decorated rooms convenient to the beach.

We had two beautifully decorated rooms, each with small kitchens. The location is on a Main Street between the electric train station in Jurmala and the beach. The front door of the building is locked in the evening but if you ask at the desk, they will show you a side door you can use.

No negatives. Cannot comment on the restaurant since we ate elsewhere. There are several cafes nearby.

Very very clean, nice, comfortable everything. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. value for money. I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to stay in Jūrmala.

Disappointing

Close to the beach and main street

Booking says there is more options included in the room than there is actually, like sauna access. No remote for AC. No slippers. Hot water in shower only for 30 seconds

Acceptable, but the service received is not as expected for the amount paid.

The service staff were polite and helpful, the hotel was quiet as we were practically the only ones there. We also liked that the studio room had a kitchen with equipment. Also the location is good.

Breakfast was very poor, the heated floor in the bathroom does not work and the sauna was at an extra cost, despite the fact that access to the sauna was marked as included in the offer.

Awesome place in the city. Near the sea, park, walking street. Friendly stuff. Parking for car. Good breakfast. Spacy room with everything you need. We are going to back there in summer.

Little gem in the heart of Jurmala

Wonderful small aparthotel in the heart of Jurmala. We loved everything about staff, facilities, location. Only thing we wished there were a couple more degrees in the room and a little splash dirt spot at the entrance wall in our room was annoying eyesore in otherwise excellent room, shower,beds ,kitchen etc. Next time we will stay for longer.

A very dissapointing Un-Latvian experience

The facilities and location were passble but well below the standard we experienced at the other accommodations we stayed in across Latvia.

We were dismayed that upon arrival the staff spoke to us in Russian and not in Latvian. While this initially may have been an honest mistake we quickly identified this to not be the case and despite our numerous requests across our three day stay to not address us in Russian, the staff continued to address us in Russian. At this time where Russian aggression and arrogance should be deplored it was deeply dissapointing to find an accommodation venue in Latvia where the staff in the first and subsequent instances chose to address their guests in russian. Latvia has its own language and culture and this needs to be actively promoted, particularly in Latvia. We will not stay here again and advise others who want a Latvian experience in Latvia to avoid Villa St Maria.

Clean but noisy place

Very friendly staff. Good location. Bonus points for not having wall-to-wall carpets (which are not allergy-friendly).

Practicly no sound isolation - you could hear everything from neighbor rooms, from corridor and from rooms above. Plus seagulls were nesting in the inner yard making so much noise that you couldn't keep balcony doors open.

good for some nights

good location, has small parking, personal was friendly. had all amenities that you need. room is spacios.

1. some of the cups and dishes we dirty. 2. there is no paper towel 3. bed and pillows are uncomfortable, bed is too soft to you sleep in a hole. pillowa are also very uncomfortable. 4. on the natress there was a cover that protect from the water but it is too noisy so cannot sleep due to that. 5. the breakfast was not tasty and I cannot choose nothing :( there is no soya or other lactose free milk. My friends that stayed for sone days said that one day breakfast is okay, another not. 6. then I was getting in a woman, probably house keeping opened the door without knocking. 7. there was a hole in the chair
