Neighborhood overview: The Lincolnville Historic District neighborhood is a friendly and welcoming residential community filled with charming architecture and personalities. You will find that the neighborhood is diverse with many interesting people of various backgrounds, and that they care about their community. There are several active and welcoming churches in the Lincolnville Historic District, one of which can be seen from the front of the cottage, so close that you can clearly hear the choir on Sunday from the porch. There are four (4) restaurants in the Lincolnville Historic District- The Blue Hen; the Ice Plant Bar; The Preserved; and Crave Food Truck. Lincolnville was a victim of redlining by the Federal Government and the private sector, the evidence of which still exists to this day. I encourage anyone who is not familiar with the practice of redlining to probe the subject. Bear in mind that St. Augustine is over 450 years old, and every neighborhood in Downtown St. Augustine has buildings that are in disrepair and could use a bit of work, including Lincolnville. If you don't wish see buildings that are architecturally contributing while perhaps in need of a little or a lot of work, then Lincolnville, or other neighborhoods Downtown, may not be the correct fit for you. Lincolnville in particular is experiencing a period of revitalization, so don't allow the derelict architecturally contributing buildings deter you from the rich history that the neighborhood and Downtown have to offer. I live close to my rental property, and am available 24/7 to respond to any issues or concerns. As your host, you can expect that I will NOT come onto the property unannounced. The only exception could be when I pull the trash and recycling carts to the street for collection. Trash is collected on Tuesday, and recycling on Friday. Usually I contact guests before I pull the carts, but sometimes I forget. Trash carts live in the side of the front yard. If I need to do something such as cut the grass, water the plants, or retrieve something from the storage shed, I will contact the guest in advance. I don't wish to cause a disturbance, so if another time is better for you just let me know.

We were in walking distance to downtown which is exactly what we were looking for! Blake did a great job with communicating with us in making sure we were having a good stay. Definitely would recommend.

This cute shotgun house was beautifully renovated. Every detail was thought of, every switch labeled. It made for a wonderful stay. The neighborhood is extremely close to the historic district. We walked everywhere. Blake is a great host who checked in a few times to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. Definitely recommend.

Such a delightful cottage and a close walk to almost everything you could want to do! Used Uber 2 times and including tip around 11. Super clean inside and the front porch rocking chairs are wonderful! Huge plus, beds and pillows are the best! Great place to enjoy!

We spent two nights here and enjoyed it very much! It was very convenient to everything. Blake also provided a parking pass but we chose to Uber, very short ride (about $9). Very clean and well equipped.

Very nice 2 bedroom place.Went with friends to St Augustine. Within walking distance from old town and the college. There is so much to see and the neighborhood has so much history. The place is neatly done and unfortunately we didn't spend a whole lot of time there.

Like many people, I asked myself "where is Lincolnville? It is a rapidly changing neighborhood in St Augustine with so much history and within a short walk of the Old Town attractions, restaurants and bars. No need for a car, but the owner provides a parking pass for the City Garage should walking not be convenient for everyone. This rental is an example of the historic renovations taking place in Lincolnville - be sure to explore the neighborhood to see the different types of architecture and visit the Lincolnville Museum & Cultural Center to learn about the history of the community. The area is very quiet and safe with well lit streets - we had no concerns about walking back from town late at night. The house had all we needed to be comfortable for a weekend in town - beds were both very comfortable, as well. The owner is very responsive and you can tell he is very proud of the restoration he and his father completed to bring this property back to what it once was. Don't miss visiting the Ice Plant Distillery in Lincolnville which is a short walk from the property - they have free tastings of their liquors and mixers and also a very cool bar and casual restaurant in the same building. We would definitely rent this property again and so glad we learned about the history of the Lincolnville community.

The house is very nice and Blake is a very accommodating and responsive host. I had 4 students staying in the house and it was clean and a great location. We were permitted to drop off our bags early and had a great stay. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others!

Blake is an amazing host and a great communicator. If you have a question or concern, he answers very promptly. The cottage was awesome and exactly what and where we needed to be for our relaxing vacation. If we make it back to St. Augustine, I will definitely look up Blake's properties on VRBO. Thanks again Blake and please say Hi to all of your family for us.

The Shotgun House is where we love to stay when we visit St. Augustine. The house is in a great location, where you can park your car and walk to St. George St. in a matter of minutes. Fresh paint, exposed beams and duct work give an eclectic, updated look to a 1930's house that has all of the necessities. Owner Blake is just a call away and is very knowledgeable about the area, and he's always pleasant. We love our stays at this house!!

This vacation property was absolutely PERFECT. My husband and I along with my daughter, her husband and their 9-month old thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We were visiting the area for my daughter’s friend’s wedding at the Lightner Museum and the home was within walking distance to everywhere we needed to be. Blake was an AMAZING HOST! I accidentally left my cell phone and charger in the bedroom and didn't realize it until we were about 2 hours into our journey home. We contacted Blake and he was so kind, he packed the phone in bubble wrap and boxed it so it would not get damaged and Federal Expressed it back to me! Thank you so much! And the bonus was that the beds were unbelievably comfortable. We stayed four nights, and our only regret is, we wish we could’ve stayed longer! We are already planning a visit back so we can see more of St. Augustine! Thank you Blake for being such an accommodating and kind host!

I have been to St. Augustine a number of times and seen many featured sites. It wasn't until I booked this VRBO location in Lincolnville that I had ever heard of it. Though a concert at the amphitheater brought us to the area, I had a desire to learn more about Lincolnville. Staying in this shotgun house was just the beginning of this adventure. The house is very comfortable and staying here was very relaxing, a great home base to launch from and explore the area. Very friendly quiet neighborhood that features a lot of history on which to reflect. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Highly recommend!

We stayed 2 nights and had a great time. The host, Blake, was very helpful and provided all of the information we needed for a timely check in. The place itself was excellent, with comfortable beds, clearly labeled light switches, plenty of supplies, etc. We could not have asked for more. The only reason I gave it 4 stars on location is that there is a derelict house next door which feels kind of sketchy when you first drive up. We quickly got past that though and everything was fine. But the house is close to everything and there was plenty of parking, so we were very happy. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice, clean, comfortable place to stay in St. Augustine for a short or long term rental.

Very old friends (2 couples in their early seventies) stayed several days in this old house in an older, historic neighborhood just a few blocks from the center of the Historic District. The neighborhood is transitioning (in the right direction), ranging from a couple of uninhabited houses to several that have been nicely renovated. It is surprisingly quiet, with pleasant neighbors and no apparent safety issues. The house is small, but the interior renovations are nice. Two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms with showers. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was reasonably well equipped, and everything except a few throw rugs was very clean. The host lives nearby, and has done an exceptional job of making the house user-friendly with labels and instructions. Overall, it was a fine base for our visit, the cost was quite reasonable, and we will almost certainly stay there for our next visit if it is available.

Beautiful little cottage. Had all necessities and more. Easy access to the city. Great place! Highly recommend.

This was a no frills kind of place which was fine for our purposes. The furniture, floors, and bathroom fixtures were clean. The location was perfect for walking to most places in St Augustine and the host included a parking pass to a downtown parking garage which came in handy a couple of times. The bed in the master was pretty comfortable. The outdoor spaces could use a little sprucing up and we would have appreciated a more comfortable couch, but if you’re not planning to hang out there at all, no big deal. Fun town with lots of great restaurants within walking distance.

We loved our stay here! The house was very clean and super cute. Blake was very easy to get ahold of and made the check in and check out process a breeze. The house is in great spot for exploring st. Augustine but still being away from all the hustle and bustle. I stayed with two of my good friends and we walked pretty much everywhere the entire weekend. There’s a brewery and some really good spots to eat close by, but downtown St. Augustine is just under a mile walk. So if you wanted to go out downtown without worrying about finding parking it’s very doable.

Stayed in this shotgun style St Augustine updated historic, 2 bedroom 2 bath house for 4 nights. Very comfortable home in quiet area in historic community. Just me and husband but would easily be comfortable for additional adults or kids. Fairly well equipped for a small house and had nice small garden in back with deck where we had breakfast. Recommend for 2 - 4 people and st Augustine is a fine city to visit. Owner very responsive and attentive to house details.

This cute, little place was perfect. It had everything we needed, and included toilet paper, paper towels, hand soaps, soap, and dish soap. It’s in a great location to walk anywhere downtown within 10 minutes. The owner Blake, was so nice and contacted us prior to getting to the property to make sure we could get in and we had his phone number for if we needed him while we were there. Would love to stay here again when we come back.
