The uniqueness of the chalet. All built with local woods built by local carpenter. Close to Lake Moiry and Grimentz. One of the most beautiful village of Switzerland. The garden would have been wonderful during summer. Very shady. Could see the mountain a little bit from our studio. Kitchen well equipped. Just nice for a couple. Quiet! No road noise. Just some wild small animals on the roof making noise. BEST PART: COULD SEE A BIG HERD OF WILD CHAMOIS GAZING ON THE PRAIRY JUST OUTSIDE THE HOUSE. The host is a avid mountaineer, has climbed mount Everest and most of the highest summit in Central America and Nepal and etc. But now happily retired.

The warm welcoming of the owner Alexandre was exceptional. Always ready to help and answer questions. The garden is beautiful. A perfect place for a family meeting.

This wooden cottage is nestled in the mountains, amidst lush meadows still inhabited by chamoix and birds. We got the smaller unit: sweet and cozy. For breakfast, there were fresh eggs from the hens in the backyard; for dinner, wine from the region. There is a place for grilling and dining outside, surrounded by nice vines and flowers. Alexandre is a gracious host, and so is his representative who helps with the reservations :)

Unfortunately the drainage smells very bad and the whole apartment can smell very strong - mainly at night. Also, the apartment has a very bad isolation from the other flat next door, which means you can hear every word of the neighbors.
