First family vacation
Travled with 6 children to get there at 5 and the house hadn't been cleaned.....when we called the person told us thats why check in os between 3 and 7.... We sit on the front porch of the rental house fins up...till 7......still no sign of anyone...... Nooo one..... We had to pick our groc order up by 6....and we had no where to put them....
We did call backand told them we would clean it yourself.....and we did but you can imagine how with 6 kids this was challenging.....and the house floors were absolutely nasty...... Enuff dog hair to make a full dog...... And I will tell u it was left cleaner than we found it.... Not I once did the office check on us at all...

House is adorable. Would definitely stay here again. Ice maker in the fridge wasn’t working so we contacted management and they sent someone out to fix it. Convenient location. Rented bikes & golf cart to make it easier taking chairs & coolers to the beach.

Arriving to the home, we first noticed a "dog lovers welcome" at the front steps. However, the listing states "no pets" and unfortunately we assumed that the owners would not have pets in the home either.
Open the door, the smell of dog and mildew were the first things we noted, along with a dirty floor. We immediately had to sweep and tidy the home before unpacking. There was food on the floor, dead flies on the kitchen cabinet and in every window seal. The refrigerator was disgusting, we had to sanitize it before unpacking our refrigerated food. Dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher, the master bedroom had pillows and, what appeared to be, a dirty blanket just tossed in the middle of the bed. All the beds looked strewn and untidy. We did not get a very "clean" feeling for our first impression of this "luxury" rental.
Even if you do not opt for the cleaning service, the policy states the rental company's cleaning crew goes in and inspects to make sure the home was cleaned how it was suppose to be. Unfortunately, it felt as if the previous guests left and we walked right in behind them. Lastly, the smell of mildew was very prominent in the laundry area and master bath.
We were very disappointed from the time we arrived. However, if you are just looking a place to lay your head and are not worried about overall cleanliness, then this is for you. I would not recommend this rental, nor will we be staying again.

This was a nice house that I would rent again.

The house is a great layout for a few families - we really liked the 2 living rooms that were close enough that you could hear each other but far enough away so it allowed extra space - perfect for kids playing in one and people talking in another. The pool was great. The walk to the beach wasn't bad but you could also drive and park closer.
The not so good stuff - the kitchen sink had a bad leak that the owners obviously knew about - there was a large bowl to collect water under the sink. That overflowed our first day there and then continued to spill into the kitchen all day and night, causing super slippery floors. We were afraid to use the dishwasher because we thought it would get worse. The rental company wasn't great at getting in touch with us about it. Finally by the 4th day it was fixed. It bothered me more than a normal breakdown would because it was clearly a known issue.
Also, kitchen is very understocked. And very disorganized. The house had a total of 6 forks that I could find. The one stock pot was missing a handle. No griddle. I nearly went out and bought forks because it was so frustrating. The kitchen did not look like it was the beginning of the season, meaning it had been organized and restocked for a new summer of renters. Also it was pretty dirty - we found a few GIANT dog turds by the pool, although the rental is not pet friendly so I assume it was the owner's dog. Lots of cobwebs in the corners and near the edges of the mattress. A random prescription bottle that was not ours. Again, looked like no one did a spring cleaning.
Overall, I still would stay in here, especially if they turned it into a pet friendly rental. I feel like those can have a bit lower standards because you know, dog hair.
