Excellent food and decent sized bathroom.

The room was spacious and had a double bed, the en-suite was clean and the added toiletries were a lovely touch. I had dinner in the evening in the restaurant down stairs and it was fabulous. Service was excellent.
My only recommendation would be to update the shower system it had the one attachment in the wall that could not be moved or lowered and as a lady I would have appreciated it to be moveable. other then that perfect.

Not clean. Old decor. Amazing staff, pools great for the kids but need some TLC, full of hair, no filter, cloudy water. Food was below average. Staff excellent.

Staff were all lovely, tram stop just across the road. Spotlessly clean everywhere.
Parking was just on street where you could find a space, although there is a space at the side of the hotel.
Bunk bed was creaky.

The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent as always
The only thing was the shower in the room took a while to get it to the right temperature Everything else was spot on

Decor and furnishings etc lovely . Lots of places to sit and enjoy a drink and look out to sea. Staff very friendly and helpful / particularly the bar staff. Parking available. Daily cleaning of room. Good value. Entertainment great although extremely loud. Kids team fab. Pool and jacuzzi was great. Good bar snack menu. Tram stop right outside
Small niggles - despite paying in full on arrival, hotel still insisted on a £50/night ‘retainer’. They said this wouldn’t come out of our account but it did - everyone was complaining about this as not everyone has this money to spare. Also wanted a £10 deposit per additional room key. No hooks anywhere in room or bathroom to hang coats, dressing gown etc, no real vegetarian breakfast options and no option to just have cereal and toast, fruit juice very watered down, only found out about vege dinner options on last night as these weren’t advertised anywhere. Loo roll very thin and cheap. Dressing table chair too low to see in mirror.

Dinner was excellent. Breakfast n/ a
Lift ok for 2 or 3 .
No obvious signposting , if any , of swimming pools or steam room..Car parking down side of hotel . Cars blocking each other so keys to be left at reception to allow staff to move cars for access or to allow exit.

The Breakfast room was very good . Service was excellent for cooked food, serve yourself table for cereals fruit and juices was well stocked. We did not look at the pool room. Very helpful friendly staff throughout the hotel.
Nothing really. As renovations that have been done on the lower floors are superb, if the upper floors are treated the same the hotel would be superb.

Great friendly staff, lovely hotel and plenty to do. Great food
There was nothing that I didn't like, The Doric has good transport links very nice room. Could not fault anything

It was a really good family friendly hotel. The staff were brilliant. I had never been to Blackpool before and they took time to give extra information about both the hotel and the surrounding areas. We stayed in a family room. It was clean and a good size if you're like me and keep suitcases out. The lounge and reception area had recently been upgraded and it looked and felt lovely. The food was adequate, but bought out quickly, which is helpful if you have small humans that you are dinning with.
The food could have been better. And the temperature of the pool was far too cold. The pool had been one of the main reasons I choose this hotel and it was disappointing that it was so cold.
9.0
Pools, entertainment and location.
Lift so small my wheelchair wouldn't fit in. Had to use crutches, go up in lift alone then husband had to come up with folded wheelchair. The lift is terrifying...bangs, creaks and make scraping noises. Lands with a clang.

We stayed at the sister hotel " The Park House" as the Doric was closed for a re-fit. We Were pleasentley suprised. Altough the bar and hall areas are dark but in keeping with the age of the building the bedrooms are modern and bright.
We had booked for a "Country & Western" music week but due to the lack of reservations this was cancelled but, there was still entertainement each night.
7.0
nice friendly atmosphere
cold air blowing into concert room, reception said it was due to high wind out side “ ridiculous” it was undoubtedly the ceiling fans!
blowing female patrons hair & they had to wear cardigans “ reception would not accept this “
6.0
Tram directly outside and lots of room to park
old fashioned and boiling hot like an old people’s home
