Very clean and equipped with everything you need. Mini Market just around the corner. Perfect if you want to visit Balos beach and the lady at the reception was very helpful.

Olive Tree is the best place to arrive at Crete for coming down and relaxing. Set in a place where you see nothing but olive trees and the sea. Beautiful! Eleni is such a nice person. Will return to this place definitely!

From beginning to end our holiday was fantastic! Kostas and Eleni did everything to make our stay enjoyable from the clean and comfortable apartment, the well kept grounds and pool area to arranging trips to Balos, Kissamos and Polyrrinia. Eleni worked hard and always with a smile and was great with our 5 year old son. There are several local restaurants within a ten minute walk and a superb, friendly cafe/minimarket around the corner from the apartments. We didn't hire a car and it wasn't necessary, the local beach is a 20 minute walk away through gorgeous olive groves which added to the charm of our stay.
When we booked, there were pictures of food and the information on the website says that breakfast is served daily. This led us to believe that there was a cafe or bar at the apartments and when we arrived there was a reception area but no food on offer. Although misleading, did not detract from our wonderful holiday,

I did enjoy staying at the Olive Tree for a whole week. the staff was very friendly and eager to help whenever needed paying extreme attention to the rooms cleanliness daily !
There were times where you would hear noise coming from the upstairs neighbours moving the furnitures around and being noisy

Very quiet property with good sea views! Eleni was really helpful and nice. We had one problem with AC which was sorted immediately, great service!!

Lovely apartments, we didn’t meet and owners but Eleni made sure we had everything we needed and kept everything clean, she couldn’t do enough for us and works very hard.
Beds were a bit hard. The pool area has a lot of shade, a larger sunnier area would also be nice but the space is limited.

they didn’t say in advance that there is no breakfast offered. not very transparent. but the problem could be solved because there is a minimarket near by.

A beautiful location on the edge of a little village, the birdsong, sound of goats and sheep in the hills and views of both mountains and the sea. Wonderful helpful people here Eleni - and the owner Kostas. Spotlessly clean and tidy. An easy pickup by minibus from the hotel to do the day trip to Balos beach.

Lovely lady who looked after us, kept everything spotlessly clean and gave us useful tips about where to visit locally . Nice rural location near the village. Enjoyed the pool.

We chose this hotel to cycle to the peninsula and get to Balos beach, so the location was just perfect. There was a small shop nearby, quiet surroundings, a swimming pool and a kitchenette, everything our small group of tourists could wish for.

It is nice village location. It is perfect stop when visiting Balos. Hotel was 5 minutes drive from the port. Hotel itself was clean and we were greeted by Eleni and felt really welcomed. Everyone at the hotel Kostas, Eleni will help to sort travel plans and advice on places to visit
Some of the furniture is outdated, but I quite liked it! It does have a nostalgic feeling. It was great value for money we paid

-inaccuracy- shutters in attic room do not block electric light - they need fixing- and neither do the blackout blinds . Light comes through the side. If you are sensitive to light you will not sleep well.
I didn’t raise this issue with the property as there did not seem any point. I discovered it at 11pm at night and only stayed one night.
I would urge the property to check if curtains /shutters are working and blocking light before confirming that this facility is available. Or simply fix them
-Kitchen basic and no extras (coffee, fruit, Raku etc) as in some other places. This is made up for by the books though!

We really enjoyed our stay at olive tree! Nice, calm and clean place. Very friendly people and uncomplicated check-in. Vacation feeling included =)
