Great location with beautiful views
The house was only surface clean. Really could do with a hood clean. Deflated bloom and spiders and dirt behind sofa. Needed some maintaining window in the kitchen and outside umbrella was broken. We had 2 large outbreaks of ants the manager left us spray to use but there was a lot of ants

Lovely location and the house was well laid out
It could have been cleaner, especially the couch and cushions. They were very dirty. On the day we arrived, heard another guest complain about his house.

The location & grounds were lovely. We had our 2 dogs with us so there was loads of room for them to play around. They have a small bit of a stone beach which we feel could be better maintained. The property has so much potential.
Cleanliness was very poor. Had ants in our house. Couches were dirty. Floor's hadn't been swept. When we contacted reception to report the ants & general cleanliness they came to have a look. They agreed that it wasn't clean and told us that they would get the cleaner out to us the next day. When the cleaner never arrived we called again only to be told that the cleaner didn't work on Saturday's. They offered us a different lodge but when we went to look at it, it was just as bad so we stayed where we were. As we only had a short stay & would be gone most of the time we didn't push any more because we didn't want it to ruin the weekend of my fiancé's birthday.

The property is beautifully situated outside of Castletownbere. It has a small private cove suitable for walking. Visited over Easter and there were
no on-site shop or restaurant facilities.
The cottage was not very clean with some built up staining on doors and windows had some
mould.
We had a big problem with ants - crawling up through the cracked kitchen tiles. When we reported it they brought some spray which wasn’t a solution as the ants came back through other cracks. The floor needs lifting and this needs addressing.
Some other things like kitchen units and bathroom need replacing as units were peeling.
The location is fab, however the cottage lets itself down and unfortunately cleanliness is everything and on our visit it was poor.
Hopefully staff will take this on board so that other guests don’t have to worry about ants.

Very nice complex, well laid out and well maintained. Very relaxing atmosphere with private pebble beach. Our dog enjoyed his time spent there!
The noise of the water pump every time you turn on a tap or flush a toilet! But in saying that we would return if we ever see a good deal!

The house was exactly as we expected. Very clean. The basics in the fridge etc were a great idea. While the weather was dreadful and cold- the house heated up quickly in the evenings so was very cosy. Perfect location just pity the weather was so bad- not much can be done about that.
The coffee table in the sitting room was on its last legs. Couldn't find Irish channels on the tv- but there was loads of other channels to be fair so I didn't contact anyone about that.

Very clean and spacious house kitted out with everything you’d need for a family holiday. It was fantastic to be able to bring our pet dog with us.
Very noisy water system… every time anyone ran a tap or flushed the toilet there was a massive noise from the utility room.

Location - lovely, relaxing and peaceful and great base on the beara peninsula.
Some milk, bread, juice etc was in house on our arrival- a lovely touch and much appreciated!
The restaurant wasn’t open but that didn’t really affect our stay.

Location
They could have left some salt or cooking oil in the property as they are the things you need but don't use much so you end up buying them again and again.

the property was lovely, clean and homey.
we forgot to pre order our breakfast but our host had it waiting in the fridge for the next morning when we arrived . we also only requested one travel cot but needed two, I emailed the host at 9.30pm to ask for another cot and she came over within 20 minutes with the cot for our Daughter. we couldn't of been happier, very good customer service will be back

The no hassle checking in process was appreciated, and the caretakers were available for any issues swiftly.
Accomodation was excellent... just a pity the town and local restaurants were closed while we were there.

Fab lodges right on the water front. Plenty of bathrooms and rooms spacious enough. Warm and comfortable clean and homely. Contact was very helpful and we will 100% come back and recommend to friends and family.
Only pointing these out so next guests wont be highlighting it. Tap constantly dripping in kitchen and kettle leaking. Very loud noise when turning on hot taps and flushing loos during night. (not sure if its required for the areas water pressure but would wake you up). Can see lodges need some TLC but this is understandable as we are only just out of pandemic and lodges hadn't been used by guest for 2 years. Nothing major will definitely be booking again.

Location, lodge's. Owners thoughtful breakfast items left in fridge, along with tea, coffee, lovely thought. The lodge's have everything you need. Beautiful views, reasonably close to the town of castletownbere. Due to COVID, there was limited options for eating out.
No restaurant on site, would of been nice, as it comes up as best place to eat in the area. Some dog bins around the site for discarding dog mess. Not everyone is considerate as us, pitty to spoil a lovely location.

The jaquzzi bath, the real fireplace, the space, the welcome pack provided, the fact that dogs were allowed.
As it's often windy down there we had to put a towel in the letterbox to stop it banging but that's minor. The top of the oven had a thick layer of dirt on it ...normally that wouldn't bother me but because it's eye level it's a bit obvious but again only a minor thing!

The location was idyllic. They had a lovely welcome pack for us. And a Christmas tree!
Nothing we didn't like
