You don't have to "walk the plank" to enjoy this recently updated St. George Island beachfront treasure! Pirates Booty is sure to please even the most argh of your party. From the Gulf front porches, enjoy watching dolphins frolick, jet skis cruise and fishing boats bringing in the days catch in the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The private pool provides a relaxing environment. The ground floor level features an outdoor shower and commode, fish cleaning sink, storage area for your beach and pool toys, gas grill and plenty of parking. The first elevated floor has beautiful Gulf views, includes a large living room for family fun and games and movie night; a large formal dining room with seating for 8, a breakfast nook with seating for 4, and a bar with bar stools; a well equipped kitchen complete with a Keurig Duo and all the necessities to cook up those large family meals; a king bedroom and bath; and a front porch to enjoy abundant Gulf breezes, shade and a view of the pool to watch the kiddies play. The second elevated floor includes a king master suite with direct access to the beachfront porch, a queen guest room with private bath and direct access to the beachfront porch, a second queen guest bedroom with a private bath, and a bunk room with a twin-over-full bunkbed and full size pull out futon sleeper and private bath. The laundry room is located inside the ground level entrance. Bring your snorkeling gear, bathing suits and suntan lotion! Pirates Booty awaits your anticipated arrival. Pet friendly! Provided all occupancy guidelines are followed, including pets, there are no additional fees charged by the owner. Additional notes to be considered for homes in the Plantation: All persons that may be driving a vehicle into or out of the Plantation are required to be registered with Plantation security upon check-in. Vehicles are required to be parked in the rented property driveway or on the rented property. Pirates’ Booty has parking for five vehicles, six maximum. Guests are not allowed to have golf carts and/or motorcycles inside the Plantation. Pirates Booty has Plantation amenity privileges, to include tennis courts, pickle ball court, fitness center and pools. Please note, the pools are not heated. Fires and fireworks are not allowed inside the Plantation or on St George beaches. You are strongly encouraged to consider/purchase travel insurance to protect your investment. The pool has an attached small “jetted” pool, not a hot tub. Neither can be heated.

This property is located in a secluded and gated part of the island and right on the beach with spectacular views of the gulf and the wildlife. The kitchen is very well stocked. Much more like a home kitchen. We were able to make Thanksgiving dinner with ease. The rooms are very well insulated so we didn’t disturb anyone’s sleep even with six adults in the house. The host was responsive and easy to work with. We had no issues.

This was our first-time experiencing St George Island; we had no idea of what to expect. But were pleasantly pleased as this house was a perfectly fit for our family. Being so close to the beautiful beach and our private pool only steps away... we felt we were in paradise!
Although this house showed some age, the spacious living quarters, well equipped kitchen and large area for family time activities made for a perfect vacation! This location provides the privacy and seclusion we were looking for with groceries and some restaurants a short drive away. The Plantation area is beautiful!
No complaints here but do wish there were more eating choices as restaurants are limited. Thankfully this house was well equipped to allow us the room and utensils to cook many of our own meals in house. Which only created more family time of being together. A bit pricey, ... but overall, well worth it! Property manager, Stephanie, was easy to communicate with and provided answers to all our questions! We are already talking of a return trip!

Not sure where to start! This vacation was tremendous. There were a total of 12 family members staying for the week ranging in ages from 4 to 57. The house was clean, very spacious, well stocked with kitchen ware, grill equipment, etc. The location of this property is incredible. Being on the well maintained Plantation is so worth the money. We rented bicycles, kayaks and a jet ski and had the time of our lives. The unbelievable sunsets every night from “The Cut” which is a short walk down the beach, were incredible! We had professional family pictures taken from there one evening and they turned out so beautiful!
The beach in front of the property is basically all yours. Very private feel! The pool was so great to have especially in the evenings!
The property manager, Stephanie Hendrix, was in close contact throughout the process and made sure everything was in proper order before and during the stay. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a relaxing, private and wonderful vacation. We definitely want to go back in the future!!

Wonderful week for 8 friends in a great property. Plenty of room and beautiful views. Pool was spotless and each bedroom has a private bath. Only wish there had been an elevator…lots of steps!

The house is very comfortable. The kitchen is very well quipped. The beds were very comfortable. The house provided beach towels which is a help when you fly. The pool is a nice size.
The Plantation is a great place to stay on the island.

The house was very clean and had recliners, which I loved. Very rarely have comfortable chairs in beach rentals. Short walk to beach and the weather was beautiful all week. Enjoyed the stay at this house with my family, plenty of room for everyone.

The property is amazing and the beaches are beautiful. We had a really great time!
My only complaint is for the price, I felt it should have been a little more well kept. There was what looked like mold on the vents inside and the pool was cracked in several places.
But we still had a great time and you can't beat the location!

Great Home for Family Vacation
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pirate’s Booty! The home is spacious and well stocked. Great amenities such as a toilet on the ground floor (which was perfect for the kids using the pool), beach towels, a high chair and more! We had great communication with the property manager as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Great family getaway
We rented Pirate’s Booty as a family getaway over the holidays. It met all our needs - great space, nice amenities, wonderful beach and beach access. The home is quite comfy and spacious.

My family and I (7 adults) stayed at this property for a week and it was perfect for us. The location, space, pool, views, and proximity to the cut were exactly what we wanted. Plus there was plenty of space to have snacks and a coffee bar without crowding up in the kitchen.
Speaking of coffee - the Keurig at this place is amazing! The home also had a high chair and a pack-n-play for those who need it, and several beach/pool toys (uncommon!). The owner also provided dedicated beach towels (uncommon!!) and allowed outdoor smoking (uncommon!!)
The property was very clean, available on time, and all correspondence with the owner was seamless. She even left us a hand-written card thanking us for choosing to stay there. How thoughtful! You enter the home from the ground level and take stairs to the main floor where there's the kitchen and living space (with porch access), one bedroom, and a bathroom. The second floor has four bedrooms and bathrooms, two of which have access to another porch. SO MUCH SPACE!! There's also a dedicated toiler outside the pool area for extra convenience.
I guess I can see how some prior reviewers might have been disappointed in some aspects of the home, but it really didn't make sense to us.
- The pool was very clean and in perfect working order - the tiles are showing their age and it may be on the update or upgrade list in the next few years but it was perfect for us.
- The boardwalk was fine. No loose boards, no exposed nails, no issues whatsoever.
- The vegetation around the boardwalk is just life on the SGI. It provides nice shade for the pool, keeps the temperature cooler, protects the dunes, and offers habitat for birds and frogs. Even so, it was well maintained and not "overgrown."
The only (minor) critique anyone had was that the beds squeaked if you toss and turn in your sleep and they were a little hard. Even with that said, we all slept well.
BOTTOM LINE: we will stay here again without hesitation!

Pirates Booty was an awesome place for our family/ friends fall break vacation. During the pandemic, this place gave us the privacy and distance needed with none of the sacrifice. The house is a bit older but met every need. Steps from the house to the pool to the beach! We will be back!
